Blizzard Entertainment is currently hiring for an unannounced game.
The ideal candidate should have experience with f2p and strategy games.
This could point to a new World of Warcraft game or an entirely new IP.
Blizzard Entertainment is no stranger to strategy games. It is behind one of the biggest franchises in the genre, World of Warcraft. We spotted a job listing for a Lead Product Manager, suggesting that it is working on an unannounced Free-to-Play strategy game.
Why it matters: The listing doesn’t reveal whether it’s a brand-new IP or a new addition to the World of Warcraft franchise. But considering the scope of it, we wouldn’t be surprised if it does translate into a World of Warcraft game.
Blizzard Entertainment is hiring a ‘Lead Product Manager’ for an unannounced game.
According to a job listing we detected, Blizzard Entertainment is hiring for a ‘Lead Product Manager’ for an unannounced game. While this hardly provides anything, the listing further states that the candidate should have experience building and managing F2P games.
It further reads that the manager should have an understanding of strategy games to improve player experiences. Connecting all the dots point toward a new World of Warcraft game, or an entirely new IP but similar to the latter.
Develop a deep understanding of our target audience and the competitive landscape of strategy games to tailor unique player experiences
– Blizzard Job Listing
The unannounced game will be a f2p strategy project
However, the last World of Warcraft was released just a few months ago. But, based on the history, Blizzard has released new entries into the franchise at short intervals. Therefore, we could be looking at a new one getting announced soon.
But if it is indeed a new IP, Blizzard now has a lot of active projects. These include Overwatch 2, StarCraft, and this one. This is despite all the layoffs happening at the company and the future of their projects being very uncertain.

Konami wants to continue Metal Gear Solid for up to 50 years.
These plans involve more remakes, Master Collections, and a potential new entry without Hideo Kojima.
Konami wants to ensure the groundwork for this preservation is laid before veteran developers leave the company.
The Metal Gear Solid franchise is headed toward a new beginning. Following last year’s underwhelming Master Collection, the stage is set for the IP’s grand comeback, and Konami intends to use this opportunity to popularize the series again.
With Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake coming up and a new Master Collection already being teased, the publisher clearly has big plans for the series. According to a new interview, the team also wants to preserve Metal Gear Solid for at least a decade.
Why it matters: The IP had been collecting dust for nearly a decade after Hideo Kojima’s departure. Therefore, fans will be glad to see that Konami does not want this to happen again.
The Upcoming Remake Completely Revamps Visuals
Speaking to Famitsu, producer Noriaki Okamura noted that Konami is constantly considering its next move for the series.
While the franchise seems to be in a solid place for now, the publisher must think ahead since Hideo Kojima is no longer involved. As per Noriaki Okamura, the company needs a plan to continue the series for up to five decades.
He emphasized that this must be done now since much of the original talent is still working for Konami. A proper strategy devised by these veterans would give newcomers a headstart and ensure this iconic series continues to thrive.
We need to create a path to preserve the Metal Gear Solid series for 10 to 50 years.
-Noriaki Okamura
The Producer emphasized that this is not merely a choice and that Konami needs to do this as soon as possible. He also discussed the idea of remaking the first two entries, something that insiders have already teased in the past.
Moreover, the subject of continuing Metal Gear Solid without Hideo Kojima was discussed. As daunting as the task may appear, it seems the team is considering it.
Despite all these concerns, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake remains Noriaki Okamura’s biggest focus for the time being. This remake has received solid impressions recently, but Konami has yet to confirm a release date.
Since Silent Hill 2 Remake is also set to launch this year, it seems the next major re-release will arrive next year, making 2025 an even more exciting year than anticipated.

Bethesda dev says that Starfield is the hardest and the best game the company has ever made.
For the team, it sits in the same spot as some of their prized IPs like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.
Starfield just got its first DLC release, but even then, the impressions amongst fans aren’t that positive.
Starfield was supposed to be Microsft’s answer to everyone who claimed Microsoft didn’t have good games. However, after so much anticipation, the game didn’t sit well with most of the audience, and the overall reviews were quite underwhelming.
Despite the lackluster release, a Bethesda developer has stated that Starfield is the hardest game they’ve ever worked on and the studio’s best work ever.
Why it matters: Starfield has a massive scope and hundreds of planets. So, it is understandable that the game development would take a lot of effort, but Bethesda does have better games than the latter in its roster.
Bethesda puts Starfield right up with its other popular franchises
Talking to GamesRadar, Starfield lead designer Emil Pagliarulo admitted that Starfield isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But he still thinks that it is Bethesda’s most ambitious project to date and the best work it has ever done.
I think in a lot of ways, Starfield is the hardest thing Bethesda has ever done. It’s also the best game we’ve ever made.
– Emil Paglirulo
Starfield was the hardest game Bethesda has ever developed
Given the game’s scale, it is believable that Bethesda found it challenging to develop. For the team, it is some sort of a technical marvel that they pulled it off. Paglirulo also revealed that it is right up there with its most popular franchises The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Despite Bethesda’s praise of Starfield, it didn’t receive much of a positive reception. It did sell well, so the company made a lot of revenue, but the general consensus around the title remained underwhelming.
With the launch of the Shattered Space DLC, things were supposed to change. While it has received some positive reviews from critics, the overall score on Metacritic is just 54 with most negative reviews saying that it doesn’t bring anything new to the table.

PlayStation recently announced Ghost of Yotei, highlighting a fresh take on one of its biggest modern franchises. Featuring a female protagonist and a setting several hundred years in the future, this entry promises to be a much grander experience.
With the title set to arrive in 2025, PlayStation has given players just over a year to prepare for this release. It seems fans are keen on making the best of this time, with many now returning to Ghost of Tsushima in preparation for the next release.
Why it matters: Sucker Punch Productions’ last game was released four years ago. Despite its age, fans remain keen on the franchise, setting up the next entry for major success on release.
According to TrueTrophies’ latest report, Ghost of Yotei’s reveal directly influenced player counts for its predecessors.
The report points to more than a 50% boost to figures across both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, highlighting much higher interest in the franchise than before.
It is also important to note that this figure was taken from a sample size of over 3.1 million PlayStation accounts. As such, it highlights that Sucker Punch Productions’ upcoming AAA experience has already created plenty of buzz.
Previously, announcements like Gears of War E-Day drove similar excitement for past games, leading to record-high player counts. Therefore, Ghost of Tsushima has become the latest example of this phenomenon.
Jin Sakai’s Story Has Been Concluded
The series also arrived on PC earlier this year and saw impressive figures for a single-player PlayStation title on the platform. As such, this is the second time this IP is going through a major resurgence this year.
Ghost of Yotei’s announcement has made 2025 an even more exciting year than it initially seemed.
Sucker Punch Productions has confirmed that this sequel will address various weaknesses from the first game, including the open world. The team promises a less repetitive open world, giving fans more than a few reasons to be excited.

As of early September 2024, the difference in price between the Core i5-14600K and the Ryzen 7 9700X is around 19.15%, with the Ryzen being more expensive. This was expected going into this comparison, but the slightly lower performance makes this out to be a problem.
What We Recommend
Core i5-14600K: This processor’s lower price, coupled with its higher performance, makes it the leader in the two most important aspects of a CPU. Yes, its power consumption is way worse, and the temperatures are also higher, but that does not matter as much to most people.
Ryzen 7 9700X: It seems like AMD saw Intel’s weakness with their old processing nodes and made them look bad for this one flaw, disregarding the rest of the processor. Performance should be much higher for this chip, especially when compared to its price competitors.
The Ryzen 9000 series is a weird family, with low power consumption matched with low performance. If you have a particular limitation with your power consumption, you should get the 9700X, but for most people, the better choice is the Core i5-14600K.
