Silent Hill 2 has had a pretty good launch, with overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam.
Having played the game already, I think it is a solid GOTY contender.
The game features remarkable visuals, environment, and puzzles.
It is crazy how the Bloober Team improved this game in such a short time.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was recently released, and it arguably managed to capture the essence of that over-twenty-year-old game. It has some issues, but overall, it delivers a solid experience that every survival horror enthusiast should witness.
Having played the remake completely once, I have got to say that it blew me away. Bloober Team has done an excellent job with it and deserves praise. Due to that, I think this, despite being a remake, is a strong GOTY contender.
Why it matters: Resident Evil 4 Remake was nominated for the Game of The Year Award last year, so it shouldn’t be impossible for the Silent Hill 2 remake to be nominated.
From Horrible To Amazing – The Bloober Team Delivered
Silent Hill 2 Remake is As Creepy As A Video Game Can Get | Image By Tech4Gamers
I 100% agree that this remake looked absolutely horrible when revealed. The environment, movement, combat, voice acting, character designs, and almost everything else looked dreadful. I hated this game and had no expectations at all.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about just go and watch the first few reveals. The gameplay and the first trailer reveal that the game is in a sorry state and should never be released like that. Having lost all hope, I honestly didn’t think the Bloober Team was competent enough to improve it.
However, I couldn’t be more wrong about that, as I just looked at the difference between the reveal and launch trailers. You don’t even have to look at the trailer as if you have played the game, and you would know what I am talking about.
The developer implemented the fans’ feedback and improved the remake by a lot in such a short period of time. I was genuinely shocked to my core and, of course, really happy. Having played one playthrough my experience was quite good.
First of all, the visuals and the environment are as appealing as possible. Sure, you get a bit of stutter now and then, but the game is just so good to look at. It might have even better visuals than Alan Wake 2, and I still think the latter is the better game overall.
Great Visuals Poor Character Movement
The Remake’s Visuals Are On Par With The Likes of Alan Wake 2 | Image By Tech4Gamers
Of course, Silent Hill 2 Remake isn’t a perfect game. It has some flaws, and they should have been obvious. The game has great visuals, an environment, and puzzles. However, I didn’t really enjoy the character movement that much.
The combat and character movement felt a little clunky to me, but the good thing is that it doesn’t mess up your experience that much. It is just that combat has become one of the game’s core parts, so it being clunky is a red flag, even if it is a minor one.
I also didn’t really like how Bloober Team changed Angela’s and Maria’s character design. The body proportions seem so off, and Maria’s spookiness is just not there. Those who have played the original game would know what I mean.
However, despite these issues, I think Silent Hill 2 is a solid GOTY contender and should be nominated. Now, I don’t think that it is the best game released this year, as that spot has already been taken by Black Myth: Wukong for me, but I would like to see this survival horror game in the same category.
I’m Sorry, Bloober Team
The Puzzles Are On Another Level | Image By Tech4Gamers
I would like to apologize to the Bloober Team behind this amazing third-person survival horror game. I didn’t think the developer would be able to pull it off, but it did, and it makes me so glad.
If you are a survival horror fan and enjoyed Alan Wake 2, I highly recommend that you try this game. Also, remember that the puzzles will mess with your brain.
To be honest, solving puzzles was the part where I had the most fun playing this game. You just have to do so much in order to get a simple item that would unlock a door, where you would have to find more items to unlock more areas so you could actually find the items you need to solve the puzzle.
Not only that but after finding the required items, you would have to solve another mystery. The coin puzzle fits this narrative perfectly; for me, it was the best puzzle. The story is also pretty fascinating and really, really blows your mind.
At T4G, my task is to cover the latest news around the gaming globe ASAP and with the utmost precision. I adore all the games and respect all the devs behind the amazing games that we get all year. So, whether it’s a PC or a Console game, I got it all covered.

Sweet Baby CEO says anti-DEI critics are harassing and threatening their employees.
The company has been accused of forcing inclusivity, whereas it just adds a deeper meaning to the narrative, says CEO
Recent games that SBI has been involved in have failed terribly, leading to massive losses.
Sweet Baby Inc. first emerged on the scene back in 2018. However, the company took off during the pandemic era when social movements and other things found themselves in the gaming industry.
Since then, Sweet Baby has been a name associated mainly with spreading forced inclusivity in games, leading to many big projects failing badly and the loss of millions in revenues.
Why it matters: The company has been proven to force various agendas and political movements into gaming, which overwhelm the whole narrative of a game, leading to failure. We saw this with releases like Forspoken, Suicide Squad, and more.
Ubisoft is working with SBI for AC Shadows, and it has already been labeled woke.
At the 2024 XOXO festival, Sweet Baby CEO Kim Belair spoke out against the ‘campaigns’ that have been in motion against the company. She said that the company’s employees are being harassed and facing threats from anti-DEI critics.
The CEO said people think that the company’s agenda is to force a narrative or ‘woke-ify’ games, which is wrong as they are just a bunch of talented writers who want to explore diverse perspectives leading to innovation in video games.
We were being attacked in a massive and coordinated campaign of harassment with that rallying cry of far-right supremacy: ‘DEI’.
However, ever since it started getting big projects, the company faced enormous backlash, including death threats and being accused by the public of forcing inclusivity into the games.
Despite this, the company has received great support from its clients, who have fully supported it. Due to that, the company is going through all the harassment strongly and is more united than ever in this tough time.
Despite the CEO’s recent speech, it was recently revealed that one of Sweet Baby’s employees stated that the company wanted to burn the gaming industry to the ground. Due to the backlash, SBI also redesigned its site to hide all its work.

Considering Skyrim’s legendary status, the expectations for The Elder Scrolls 6 are towering.
Unfortunately, the last two Bethesda projects, Starfield and Shattered Space, have been less than ideal.
Starfield’s disappointment, lengthy wait period, and high expectations are a very bad combination for The Elder Scrolls 6.
When you learn of an in-development game’s existence way longer than you’re supposed to, nothing good comes out of it, trust me. Anticipation turns to anxiety, expectations to disappointment, and all that wait into frustration. In this case, ignorance certainly is bliss.
Look back and remember a game you knew was coming but then took a lifetime to release. When it came out, was it everything you had anticipated? I doubt that. This is why knowing The Elder Scrolls 6 has existed for years now is nothing but a curse.
Why it matters: Following Skyrim, the hype of The Elder Scrolls 6 is unreal, but based on the mediocre Starfield that was supposed to be a hit, things aren’t looking quite good.
Evergrowing Expectations For The Elder Scrolls 6
It was 2018 when Bethesda proudly revealed the successor to its majestic Elder Scrolls franchise. At that time, I was practically jumping in excitement. Just one problem though. I didn’t know it was slated for a “2026 or later” release.
When I learned of this, my excitement gradually turned into fear. 8 years is a very long period, enough for the circumstances to change drastically. At the time of the reveal, all I thought was, “Bethesda willcook something incredible.” Now, it’s been replaced by “Will it turn out fine?”
I’m not so sure anymore (Image by Bethesda)
If Bethesda knew the game couldn’t be finished till 2026 at the very least, why reveal it as early as 2018? If you ask me, the notion of “We’ll reveal games the moment they’re confirmed to let our fans know we’re busy, and then take our time finishing it” is very flawed. It fosters doubts and breaks hearts.
Plus, there’s also the existence of Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls 6 just might become the victim of its predecessor’s blinding legacy. Skyrim was a behemoth on release; it still is. A landmark in the open-world genre and a force to be reckoned with to this day. The insane expectations are only natural. Will the sequel reach the same heights?
Skyrim’s legendary existence puts extra pressure (Image by Steam)
Bethesda Is No Longer What It Once Was
With its extensive modding, Skyrim has dominated the landscape for an unbelievable amount of time, and right now, everyone expects The Elder Scrolls 6 to at least be in the same league. And the 8 years of wait didn’t do it any favors, either. On the contrary, it raised the expectations even higher, which can be pretty fatal.
Let me express the second reason why I fear for The Elder Scrolls 6. Recent events dictate that Bethesda might not be the gaming genius it once was. The example of Starfield is before you.
Bethesda went all out in saying it would be the ultimate space exploration title, revolutionizing the genre. It was also “25 years in the making,” which was like adding fuel to the excitement fire. Alas, you and I both know how that turned out. After years of hype, what awaited was a mediocre title.
The Shattered Space DLC fared no better. When I looked at the reveals, I thought this might finally save Starfield. How wrong I was. The DLC is plagued with more or less the same issues. The only thing it shattered were my expectations for The Elder Scrolls 6.
Unfortunately, another disappointment (Image by Steam)
I Hope My Fears Don’t Come True
Back in Starfield’s time, everyone knew just what Bethesda was capable of based on its prior works. Gamers’ unshakable trust made them hype Starfield up despite the lengthy development. Everyone knew Bethesda would deliver something great.
But now I’m starting to regress back to what happens when expectations pile up and the waiting period is enormous. Starfield failed to impress not once but twice, which has done nothing but increase my feeling of dread.
I have countless precious memories associated with Skyrim. It was revolutionary for the young me, especially with all the mods loaded. I’ve sunk countless hours into the game, which is all the more reason why I feel The Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be a letdown every passing day.
Well, I guess it’s still too early to set anything in stone. A miracle can surely happen. Who knows, Bethesda might significantly up its game following the underwhelming Starfield. It was a new IP and a step in uncharted territory, but the team is experienced when it comes to The Elder Scrolls. For now, let’s leave it at that and hope for the best.

Light Loop 360 White AIO liquid cooler is a breath of fresh air from be quiet!’s side, as for the first time they’re finally offering fully A-RGB lit liquid coolers. This Light Loop 360 is equipped with 3x 120 mm Light Wings LX A-RGB fans that can go as high as 2100 RPM and use rifle bearings. The new cooler also features a revamped jet and cold plate for maximum heat dissipation on newer Intel & AMD processors.
During our testing, the cooler was able to maintain great temperatures when paired with the i7 13700k, ever under high load. The all-white color scheme coupled with the A-RGB lighting on both the fans and the pump makes the cooler shine distinctively. Not to mention, the coolant refill port ensures its longevity with no compromise on thermal performance.
This is what I said about the Light Loop 360 White in my dedicated review:
The be quiet! Light Loop 360 is a high-performance AIO cooler with impressive features, including fully illuminated A-RGB fans and a revamped cooling system designed to handle flagship CPUs. It delivers strong thermal performance and reduced noise levels compared to previous models, but installation is somewhat complex, requiring multiple components. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those looking to manage high temperatures, though a longer warranty would have been appreciated.

You need a long lifespan: This AIO’s radiator features a refill port, so the user can refill its coolant with the bundled coolant bottle to further expand its lifespan.
Hub is a must: If having a PWM fan hub is one of your preferences, then this cooler is the one, as it includes a hub that can connect up to 6 fans simultaneously and is powered via a SATA connector.

What Makes It The Best White 240mm AIO Cooler
The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 240 A-RGB is the best white 240mm AIO cooler due to its exceptional cooling performance,future-proofing, and overall aesthetic appeal. You Want Stunning Aesthetics: If customizable RGB lighting and a visually appealing design are priorities for your build, this cooler provides an attractive solution without breaking the bank.
❌Don't Buy It If
You Want High-End Performance: With the rated TDP of 180W, this AIO might not be suitable for overclocking and high-end use.
You Want Simple RGB Controller: If you prefer intuitive and user-friendly RGB controls, the included RGB controller may not meet your expectations.
What Makes It The Best Budget White CPU Cooler
The Cooler Master ML240L RGB V2 White qualifies as the best budget white CPU cooler due to its excellent price-to-performance ratio. This AIO cooler perfectly balances efficient cooling performance, stylish aesthetics, and a budget-friendly price tag. Besides that, the cooler also uses two of the TL-C12C-S 120 mm ARGB fans that can ramp up to 1550 RPM. All this was more than enough to hold the i5 14600k under 65C in our testing. While being great in the performance department, its white color scheme adds another layer of value and makes it ideal for white-themed builds.
Not to mention, this whole package comes at a highly affordable price of less than $60, rendering it one of the best-performing budget air coolers you can buy if you're tight on budget.
✅Buy It If
You are looking for the best-performing air cooler on a budget: The cooler is capable of cooling down an i5 14600K, which speaks volumes about its cooling capabilities. That too, while coming at an incredibly affordable price, makes it the best-performing air cooler on a budget.
You want a white air cooler with RGB: If you're in search of a white air cooler that also features A-RGB lighting, then the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE should be your pick as it checks both boxes.
❌Don't Buy It If
You can’t compromise on warranty period: Thermalright provides a 3-year warranty as their standard warranty period if that’s something you’re not fine with and prefer a more extended warranty. Then it’s better to look for something else.
What Makes It The Best White Air CPU Cooler
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE A-RGB is titled the best white air cooler as it performs great even with CPUs like the i5 14600K. It is also suitable for white-themed PCs because of its white color scheme and the inclusion of A-RGB lighting.
Performance: 8/10
Value: 9/10
Features: 7/10

Our Tested Benchmarks
Over the years, my team and I have tested a lot of different coolers and AIOs, and that's why we have such in-depth knowledge about what makes a cooler good or bad. As such, to round up the top choices that offer solid performance while maintaining a clean and beautiful white design, we tested dozens of different coolers. Here are our test results of just some of them:

How We Chose The Best White CPU Coolers
When buying a CPU cooler for your processor, we need to make sure it fits your taste. Here are some things we took into account when choosing the best white CPU cooler:
Size: When buying a good cooler for your CPU, you need to make sure it provides enough RAM and PCIe clearance. High-end RAM kits tend to get extremely warm when paired with huge coolers because they are not given enough space. A slimmer cooler provides enough room for the RAM to ‘breath’ since it improves the airflow, lowering the overall temperatures.
Budget: Choosing a budget can be difficult, given the vast amount of options. Air coolers may perform slightly less than AIO liquid coolers, but they are generally less expensive than AIO liquid coolers, providing better value for your money. If you do not mind spending more on a cooler, AIO liquid coolers are always a better option.
Efficiency: A cooler's efficiency is mostly identified from the TDP; however, companies like Noctua have their very own measure for their cooler's efficiency. The rated TDP of your cooler must exceed your CPU's TDP by a significant margin.
Noise: Although getting a CPU cooler with more fans will increase the cooling performance, it also comes with a huge increase in noise levels. If that is a problem for you, you are better off getting a low-profile cooler with minimum noise levels.
Compatibility: You need to ensure that the CPU cooler you end up using supports your processor; otherwise, it will just end up not fitting at all. A single cooler comes with different mounting brackets for different sockets. If your CPU socket is mentioned in the list of supported sockets, then you should be good to go.

FAQs
What is an AIO CPU cooler?
An AIO (All-in-One) CPU cooler is a liquid cooling system that combines a pump, radiator, and fan into one unit. It helps keep your processor cool by circulating liquid through a closed loop, offering better cooling than traditional air coolers.
How to choose a cooler for a CPU?
To choose a CPU cooler, consider your processor’s power, the cooler's compatibility with your motherboard, and your case size. Also, look at fan noise levels, aesthetics, and whether you plan to overclock.
Should I get AIO or air cooled CPU?
It depends on your needs. If you're after quieter performance and better cooling for overclocking, an AIO is a good choice. Air coolers are simpler, more affordable, and work well for most regular setups without heavy overclocking. Choose based on your budget, space, and performance goals.

A Former GTA developer says PC gamers might have to wait for GTA 6 till 2027.
Rockstar won’t release the game until it’s 100% because it doesn’t have any competition.
GTA 4’s delay was announced just 4 months before launch, so GTA 6 could face the same.
Ever since its first trailer dropped, Rockstar has been super quiet about what’s going on with GTA 6. There have been multiple rumors, including a delay in the 2025 release window. Now, a former GTA developer states GTA 6 for PC could launch in 2027.
Why it matters: A previous report suggested that the PC port for GTA 6 could launch 18 months after the console version. If the game is indeed planned for H2 of 2025 or even 2026, the 2027 PC release is rather imminent.
GTA 6 PC port could launch in 2027
Obbe Vermeij worked as a technical director for Rockstar until 2009, after the release of GTA 4. He also commented earlier on how Rockstar had to delay GTA 4 just four months before the release due to performance issues, so GTA 6’s claimed 2025 release could also be altered.
He further stated that because GTA 6 has no competition, Rockstar won’t release it until the game is 100% ready. This is essential in today’s world when most games launch in a broken state. As big of an entity as GTA is, it would be a shame if it faced a similar issue.
Console versions are launched first because PC ports are very technical
A user asked Vermeij about the PC port, to which he replied that PC fans would have to wait till 2027. We hope he’s just joking about it, but if the game indeed gets delayed to 2026, this is something that is bound to happen.
2027 for you, I’m afraid
-Obbe Vermeij
So, if the port is indeed planned for 2027, PC gamers will have to wait another two years to experience GTA 6. Vermeij commented that PC ports have many technicalities and tend to take more time. Therefore, console releases are preferred first.
Talking about performance, he said he expects GTA 6 to be capped at 30 FPS for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; however, Series S could be a difficult port. Meanwhile, the PS5 Pro could run the game at 60 FPS. But that’s speculation for the most part.

Black Myth: Wukong became the second most played game on Steam instantly after launch.
The game generated a lot of revenue, and according to a new tax report, it cost $42.3 million to develop.
The development cost is way less when compared with the games that failed like Concord.
Black Myth: Wukong is this year’s biggest hit, as it dominated the competition entirely. Announced back in 2020, this Chinese action RPG had a lot of hype and anticipation behind it. On release, the game destroyed every single-player game’s record and became the most-played single-player game on Steam.
Given that it reached almost 2.5 million peak concurrent players, it might not be possible for any game other than GTA 6 to beat it. However, fans might wonder about the development cost of this big hit.
Those fans are in for a big shock, as the game, according to the official tax report, cost $42.3 million to develop.
Why it matters: In this era, games cost way too much and take too much development time. For instance, Concord reportedly cost $400 million to develop and took 8 years to develop.
Black Myth: Wukong Has Already Sold Over 20 Million Copies
The official tax report by the Hangzhou Taxation Bureau revealed that this Chinese action RPG is estimated to cost over 300 million yuan. Now, 300 million yuan is equal to $42.3 million, which is pretty low given its gorgeous visuals and success.
We estimated that the total development cost of Black Myth: Wukong is more than 300 million yuan.
-Hangzhou Taxation Bureau
Previously, it was reported that the game’s development cost was $70 million and that it took 6 years worth of development time. While the development time is accurate, the development cost seems to be not.
The report also reveals that the Hangzhou Taxation Bureau has established long-term communication with the company in order to provide a precise report on the research and development expenses.
This Chinese Action RPG, Despite Costing $42.3 Million, Reportedly Made $1 Billion in Revenue Already.
It is crazy to think that games like Concord cost too much and fail miserably. There are plenty of games that cost hundreds of millions of dollars, and they end up failing. However, Black Myth: Wukong has proven that budget doesn’t matter that much for a game to be good.
What are your thoughts on the game costing this less? Do you think games should have such low development costs? Share your thoughts in the comments, or join the discussion on the official Tech4Gamers Forums.

Paradox Interactive has admitted that gamers have higher expectations than before.
The publisher also acknowledged that fans are no longer willing to accept post-launch fixes for a poor release.
It intends to ensure that all future releases meet a certain quality bar from day one.
Patches and post-launch updates are crucial to the modern gaming industry. Many AAA titles are often released half-baked today, with developers promising fixes post-launch after making millions of dollars from day-one sales.
However, it’s also true that players now have higher expectations than before. A developer has even admitted to fans losing trust in developers’ ability to fix games with post-launch updates.
Why it matters: AAA releases now cost $70, giving studios no excuse to put out half-baked titles that fail to justify their MSRP.
Cities Skyline 2 Became Quite Controversial Last Year
Publisher Paradox Interactive released Cities Skyline 2 last year, which came with its fair share of technical problems. The studio admitted that this never should have happened and could have been avoided with player testing.
To avoid repeating the same mistake, Paradox Interactive delayed Prison Architect 2 indefinitely. Initially slated to launch in September 2024, the title currently suffers from performance issues and needs more polish.
Elaborating on this decision, Paraod Interactive’s deputy CEO admitted that the decision was made to meet player expectations. Mattias Lilja highlighted that player expectations are higher than ever, and they have limited budgets to work with.
This means that fans want the absolute best quality to get their money’s worth. The deputy CEO also discussed the trend of fixing games after release, stating that fans are no longer willing to put up with this practice.
Fans are less accepting that you will fix things over time.

Based on Mattias Lilja’s statement, many recent games come to mind, but Star Wars Outlaws is one of the more prominent examples.
Ubisoft’s Latest AAA Release Was Bogged Down By Technical Problems
Following criticism over bugs and glitches, the team promised to address the major problems through post-launch updates. However, the damage has already been done, and Ubisoft has taken big hits to its market value in the aftermath.
Similarly, games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivors are still being updated one year later, suggesting that the developers could have done a much better job with enough polish ahead of the official release.
As such, it’s easy to see why fans no longer trust post-launch fixes. Here’s hoping this trend encourages studios to release games in more polished states moving forward.
What are your thoughts on such updates? Do you mind waiting for fixes after buying a full-priced release? Share your thoughts in the comments, or join the discussion on the official Tech4Gamers Forums.

Rockstar Games has officially announced the long-awaited Red Dead Redemption PC port.
However, the reveal has received mixed reactions from fans, mainly due to its $50 price tag.
Some fans even stated they would prefer to wait for a sale rather than purchase it at launch.
Rockstar Games recently confirmed the long-rumored Red Dead Redemption PC port, set to release on October 29. However, the announcement has sparked a mixed reaction from fans, primarily due to its steep $50 price tag.
Many fans have taken to platforms like Reddit to express their disappointment, arguing that $50 is too high for a game that’s 14 years old. Some have even stated that they would prefer to wait for a sale rather than purchase the game at launch.
Why it matters: Even though $50 is not a full price for modern-day games, it is still considered a lot for a title that is more than 14 years old.
Given the fans’ reaction to the price point, it will be interesting to see how the Red Dead Redemption PC port performs at launch if the $50 price remains unchanged.
That said, the $50 price tag shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who followed its release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch last year, as both versions were similarly priced.
Considering that Take-Two, Rockstar Games’ parent company, previously defended the $50 price as reasonable for a 14-year-old title, it’s unlikely that the price will drop before launch.
Rockstar could argue that the game isn’t as old as it seems, especially with the graphical enhancements made for the PS4 and Switch versions, which were considered remasters.
Fans Are Angry Over The $50 Price Tag.
Thanks to modern PCs’ superior capabilities, the PC version is expected to surpass the PS4 and Switch versions. Rockstar has already promised various improvements and new features for the PC release.
Interestingly, Red Dead Redemption PC has higher system requirements than RDR2, raising concerns given the significant technical differences between the two games. Despite the mixed reactions, there’s still plenty of excitement surrounding its long-awaited arrival on the platform.
Whether the $50 price tag is justified remains a debate that is best left to developers and fans. A more definitive assessment will likely emerge once the game launches on October 29, which isn’t too far off.

The PS5 Pro has conquered Amazon’s best-sellers in the video games category.
Despite its $700 price, the console is selling much better than the Xbox competition.
Sony’s upcoming hardware has reached the top spots on Amazon in multiple regions.
The PS5 Pro caused plenty of controversy after Sony confirmed its $700 price tag. Shipping without a disc drive and a stand, the hardware marks a new era for console pricing, leading to curiosity about the market’s reception at release.
As Sony gears up for the release on November 7, the PS5 Pro has begun to gain momentum through pre-orders. With less than one month left before release, the console has even outsold Xbox’s offerings on Amazon.
Why it matters: Going by the pre-orders, it seems the vast majority of consumers don’t mind the $700 MSRP.
Looking at Amazon, the PS5 Pro is currently at the third spot in the video game best-sellers category. Bested only by the $10 gift cards from PlayStation and Xbox, this console seems to be headed toward a huge release.
It’s also interesting to note that this is the only piece of hardware in the top 10 best-sellers of the category. Following closely is the standard PS5 in the 12th position, while an Xbox console is nowhere to be seen in the top 50.
According to reports, the PS5 Pro’s position on Amazon is similar in other regions. The console is also no longer available to buy directly from PlayStation since pre-orders have picked up the pace this week.
The PS5 Pro Promises 45% Rasterization Improvements
All things considered, Sony’s new hardware seems to be finding plenty of success early on. Even with a somewhat lackluster launch lineup, the console is in high demand, and things will only get better next year.
In fact, it could be argued that the console will truly come into its own with next-gen titles like GTA 6, Death Stranding 2, and Ghost of Yotei in 2025.

WB Games is reportedly working on a Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition with additional content.
The edition will add 10-15 hours of more content with new stories, side quests, and activities.
It will act as a purchasable DLC for existing owners and will be available as a standalone edition as well.
Hogwarts Legacy was one of the most successful games of last year. It sold over 24 million copies, earning huge revenue for Warner Bros. and Avalanche Software. While we haven’t gotten an official DLC for the game, something even better is coming.
Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition is reportedly in development and will be sold as a separate DLC for existing users and as a standalone edition for those looking to buy the game.
Why it matters: Fans were disappointed that Hogwarts Legacy didn’t get much post-release content, as it has been over a year since its launch. This will undoubtedly reignite the hype for the game and delight the long-awaited fans.
Hogwarts Legacy was one of the best-selling games of 2023
A reliable industry insider has revealed the Definitive Edition will add around 10-15 hours of additional content. These will include new story content, side quests, activities, and outfits. It will act as an official DLC to the existing owners of the game.
There are a bunch of things most fans would love to see with the new content. Some side characters didn’t get much exploration time. Hufflepuff quests were especially very dormant, so with almost 15 hours of extra content, we could see all this happening.
The definitive edition will add almost 15 hours of new content
While there is no official confirmation from the developer, the sources have suggested that the planned release is set for 2025 at a cost ranging from $20-$30 to help boost the WB’s stock values, which have been tumbling since the disastrous Suicide Squad launch.
Hogwarts Legacy was very well received when it launched in February 2023. Ever since then, the game has launched on older-gen consoles and the Nintendo Switch and sold really well on all platforms.

A new California law forces digital storefronts to admit that they are not selling the actual game to the consumers but are just selling the license.
While the law will not take place until next year, Steam has already taken the first steps.
Now, if you buy anything from Steam, it will show you that you are buying a license for the game.
However, buying the game on this launcher means that you are buying the digital copy as there are physical copies. Many fans were concerned that this meant they didn’t own the game.
That concern has now become a reality, as when you buy a game on Steam, it shows you that you are not actually buying the game but buying a license.
Why it matters: The digital era is upon us, and it is terrifying to think that the publisher can remove the title without too much notice.
Thanks To The New California Law, Steam Now Shows Consumers That They Don’t Own The Product They Are Purchasing
Not long ago, a new California law was enforced that forces digital storefronts to admit that they are just selling the license, not the actual game.
The law clearly stated that it would ban any digital storefront that uses the words “buy” or “purchase” and does not inform the customer that they aren’t getting unrestricted access to the item they are buying.
I thank the Governor for signing AB 2426, ensuring the false and deceptive advertising from sellers of digital media incorrectly telling consumers they own their purchases becomes a thing of the past.
-Jacqui Irwin
So now, due to this law, Steam was also forced to show this message, which has generated a wave of concerns among the fandom. What’s even more outrageous is that this law will not come into effect until next year, but it seems like Gabe Newell wants to get over this and become the harbinger of bad news.
At first, fans were just arguing that they don’t own the digital games, and now the digital storefronts will make sure to let them know that this is indeed a reality. License deals are not really strong all the time, as they can expire, and that is why many games have been pulled from the digital storefronts.
However, hopefully, we won’t see such scenarios in the future. What do you think about this new California Law? Do you think it is unreasonable? Let us know in the comment section below or join the discussion on Tech4Gamers’ official forums.
