Seasoned Devs Will Continue Working On Star Wars Outlaws!

Story Highlight
  • Star Wars Outlaws is currently in a polishing state due to bugs and many other issues.
  • The game’s director will be moving on to The Division 3 in just a month or so.
  • There is not much information currently available about the next game in the Division series except that it is in development.

Star Wars Outlaws was recently released, but it turned out to be a disappointment for both the fans and the developer. While it didn’t meet the fans’ expectations, it also didn’t meet Ubisoft’s sales expectations

The gaming giant is now focusing on polishing this game and releasing some updates so fans can have a better experience. This game will also be released on Steam on 21 November.

So, the developers are now focusing on polishing the game, but its director has revealed that in just a month or so, he will be shifting his focus to The Division 3

Why it matters: After Star Wars Outlaws, Massive Entertainment was supposed to focus on the next title in the Division series, but it now has to polish the game to perfection.

The next Division Game In The Franchise Is In Development Right Now.

In a recent interview with Game File, Julian Gerighty, the co-director of both previous instalments in The Division series, has revealed that he will continue his role as executive producer in a month or so.

In the interview, Gerighty talked about what the team is going to fix, and it seems like the developers will be working on the title for quite some time. However, he doesn’t intend to keep working on this title as in a month or so, he aims to shift his focus to The Division 3.

The Division is a massive series and has a lot of potential. The last mainline title in the series was released in 2019 so it has been a long time since the fandom has been waiting for a new one.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much known about the game except that it is in development. Due to Star Wars Outlaws, the studio might not have been giving this game its full focus, and even now, it might not be able to.

Gerighty also said in the interview that in his stead, a “very seasoned Massive people” will continue to work on the recent Star Wars title. So, we will likely get more information regarding the upcoming Division game soon.
