Assassin’s Creed Fans Want The Series Heading To Cold War Era Next

Story Highlights
  • Fans want the Assassin’s Creed franchise to visit the Cold War in the future.
  • The Cold War era lasted from 1947 to 1991, so it’s a fairly recent historical event.
  • Currently, the next game will take the franchise to feudal Japan with Shadows.

Ever since the dawn of the franchise, Assassin’s Creed has had various historical settings spanning multiple eras. These include Ancient Egypt, the Third Crusade, Ancient Greece, and even the Viking era with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

However, fans want the next game in the franchise to be set in the Cold War era, as that has plenty of untapped potential.

Why it matters: Most Assassin’s Creed games have fairly historical settings dating back hundreds of years. However, a Cold War setting would take the players to recent events and could be very interesting.

Assassin's Creed
Assassin’s Creed games have visited different locations across multiple eras.

In a Reddit post, fans discussed what sort of setting most people want for Assassin’s Creed. For a long time, such posts were filled with cries for a Japanese entry Interestingly, many comments now indicate interest in an entry based on the Cold War era.

Such a game would see Ubisoft expand the franchise to the United States and the Soviet Union. The war lasted from 1947 to 1991, which presents a lot of time for multiple events to take place until the fall of the Soviet Union.

However, the Cold War may be improbable for Assassin’s Creed because it’s too close to a modern setting. The earliest setting this franchise visited with any mainline game was with Syndicate, which was set in 1868 in London at the onset of the Second Industrial Revolution.

Assassin's Creed Shadows
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will take the franchise to feudal Japan.

Fans also discussed other potential locations, including Poland and Lithuania vs. the Teutonic Order from the 14th to 15th century, World War 2, and others.

Nonetheless, Assassin’s Creed is going to the highly requested era of feudal Japan with Shadows. The next in line is Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which will be set in the Witch Hunt era, although the actual setting is yet unknown.

AMD Almost Acquired Nvidia But CEO Jensen Huang Saved The Day

Story Highlight
  • AMD almost bought Nvidia at one point.
  • The deal eventually fell apart, and the former ended up buying ATI Technologies.
  • Had the two merged, the GPU market would have been led by a single company.

Nvidia has surpassed Microsoft and Apple to become the most valuable company in the world. It is now unstoppable, and success is raining upon it. Despite all this, there was a time in the past when Nvidia was still facing hardships.

A former AMD engineer revealed that when Nvidia was an upstart, AMD was going to buy it. However, this did not happen, as the deal fell apart because Jensen Huang wanted to be the CEO of the merged company, and they decided to acquire ATI Technologies.

Why it matters: Nvidia is the market leader in artificial intelligence and PC gaming. Its contributions to the growth of these markets are undeniable, putting it head and shoulders above AMD.

The graph shows how Nvidia and AMD have changed between 2002 and 2016. At the end of 2002, Nvidia had a 65% market share, while ATI’s share was slightly less than 30% (ATI wasn’t acquired by AMD until 2006).

But in 2004, things turned around, with the Radeon X800 defeating Nvidia’s GeForce 6 to seize the lion’s share of sales. The company started to restore its advantage once AMD acquired ATI and the Radeon HD was released; although the difference was not that great in 2010, they were split 55/45.

In the middle to late 2000s, Hemant Mohapatra worked as an engineer with AMD, creating CPUs, GPUs, and APUs. He talks about how AMD had a great chance to negotiate a merger with Nvidia and take over the graphics card market entirely.

AMD vs NVIDIA GPU Market Share
AMD And Nvidia GPU Market Share via 3DCenter

However, this never happened, and instead, the company chose to purchase ATI, which at the time was Nvidia’s competitor and was starting to lose ground to it.

In today’s era, AMD can’t even come close to Nvidia in gaming GPU sales, as Nvidia has a market share of about 85% worldwide. The latter is more successful in the CPU market.

The graph above shows that AMD was always ahead of Nvidia in market capitalization until 2015. However, things changed after that because Nvidia advanced in artificial intelligence the most. If AMD had acquired Nvidia, things would have been completely different.

Cyberpunk 2077 Set To Receive Incredibly Ambitious Multiplayer Mod

Story Highlight
  • CDPR has earned a lot of respect from everyone after Cyberpunk 2077’s comeback.
  • However, fans were a little disappointed due to the cancellation of the multiplayer DLC.
  • While CDPR may have moved on, modders are now working on fulfilling this ambition.

Cyberpunk 2077 became famous in the industry due to its disastrous launch. However, the studio attracted a lot of positive press by turning things around. It has many positive reviews now and is arguably one of the best games in the industry.

Fans even claimed that it would have won Game of The Year if it had been released like this in 2020. CDPR also intended to flesh out the experience further with multiplayer, but this mode was cancelled to prioritize fixing the base content.

Many fans were disappointed, but there is good news for them now. Modders have taken matters into their own hand and are now making a multiplayer mod for the game.

Why it matters: Cyberpunk 2077 had the potential to rival GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer due to the similar open-world settings across these games.

JuiceHead has shared a 9-minute video on YouTube about the mod known as CyberMP. The video explains the mod, highlighting the current challenges this team is facing, the latest updates, and co-op gameplay.

According to the video, this mod unlocks the chaotic fun of open-world co-op that one would expect. Players can find open-world racing, death matches, and free roam, and the best part is that the mod works quite well.

It should be noted that the mod is still in the pre-alpha stage, so fans shouldn’t expect it to arrive anytime soon. There is still a lot of work to be done on the mod right now, so a release is likely quite far away.

However, this project has plenty of people excited about the premise of Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer. Unfortunately, the modders confirmed that quests won’t be available in co-op.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty
Cyberpunk 2077 Exceeded Everyone’s Expectations With The Phantom Liberty DLC

Modders have been working on the project since last year and have made significant progress despite the challenges of such an ambitious mod.

CDPR is now done with the game and is focusing on The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 sequels. Therefore, many fans are glad to see modders taking things into their own hands and delivering what seems to be a solid concept already.

GTA 6 Marketing Campaign To Ramp Up In Late 2024

Story Highlight
  • Fans have used past Rockstar marketing trends to develop a timeline for GTA 6 marketing.
  • They estimate a new trailer by the end of 2024, with screenshots arriving before that.
  • The first half of 2025 should be busy due to new information, trailers, and screenshots.

GTA 6 has not reappeared after its first trailer in seven months. In typical Rockstar fashion, the studio has remained tight-lipped about its next game, leaving fans to come up with potential answers.

With Rockstar’s marketing expected to kick off sooner or later, fans have theorized potential dates based on the team’s history. According to previous trends, GTA 6 will soon receive many new details.

Why it matters: The first trailer already broke various records and became one of YouTube’s most-watched videos. In the coming months, the excitement will be felt in each new marketing piece from the studio.

GTA 6
GTA 6 Predicted Marketing Timeline via Twitter

The image above predicts Rockstar’s plans for GTA 6. If the pattern holds, fans may soon receive another look at the game through screenshots, followed by the official second trailer.

Once this trailer arrives, Rockstar’s marketing should begin to ramp up. GTA 6 will be less than a full year away by late 2024, so the team will reduce the gap between new trailers, screenshots, and blog posts.

The timeline predicts plenty of activity for the first half of 2025, with Rockstar seemingly revealing the release date, official cover art, and the third trailer. As said earlier, this information is based on past trends.

Therefore, fans have estimated this timeline using Rockstar’s GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 marketing plans. Both games launched in the Fall and were first shown off close to the end of 2011 and 2016, respectively.

GTA 6 is on track to launch in Fall 2025. The game is shaping up to be the industry’s biggest release in more than a decade, marking an exciting time for everyone involved.

GTA has always appealed to the masses, and its upcoming entry should be no different. While there’s certainly a long time until Fall 2025, Rockstar’s upcoming marketing should make the wait a bit less painful.

Bloodborne Player Count Saw Major 57% Uplift Thanks To Elden Ring DLC

Story Highlight
  • Bloodborne saw a massive 57% spike in player counts in June, thanks to Shadow of the Erdtree.
  • Following the DLC’s release, player counts continued to rise, making the game PlayStation’s 65th most-played title.
  • It outpaced every other FromSoftware release and went through the biggest resurgence.

Bloodborne’s current popularity speaks for itself. Following recent events like the game’s 9th anniversary and PlayStation’s disappointing State of Play, fans demanded the PlayStation address the lack of attention for this particular PS4 exclusive.

Meanwhile, news of a playable build through emulation led to buzz throughout the fandom. If this wasn’t enough, it seems players recently returned to Yharnam, with Bloodborne going through a major resurgence.

Why it matters: Even though this first-party title is among the few that never got a next-gen upgrade, many are still willing to play it. This underscores excellent game design that transcends technical limitations.

Bloodborne
Bloodborne First Came Out In 2015

As reported by TrueTrophies, the lead-up to Shadow of the Erdtree led to a positive development for Bloodborne.

Data from over 3 million PlayStation accounts suggests that this game saw 57% more activity in June as FromSoftware fans flocked to Yharnam in anticipation of Elden Ring’s DLC.

However, the successful run didn’t stop there. While Shadow of the Erdtree enjoyed mass positivity from critics and fans, Bloodborne’s player count continued to rise and showed an 11.61% increase in total players.

It also ranked as PlayStation’s 65th most-played game during the last week of June after Shadow of the Erdtree arrived. Interestingly, no other FromSoftware game apart from Dark Souls 3 saw similar results after the Elden Ring DLC launched.

In the case of Dark Souls 3, player counts went up 5.9% that week, making it PlayStation’s 121st most-played title.

Bloodborne FromSoftware PS5 PS4
Bloodborne’s Gameplay Helped Improve The Entire Souls-like Genre

While PlayStation hardly needs any more proof at this point, this instance shows why Bloodborne remains a special FromSoftware release. Many games have come and gone since it first debuted, but few have rivaled the qualities of this particular title.

FromSoftware, like many fans, is open to the idea of a Bloodborne PC port in the hopes of bringing this gothic masterclass to new players. Meanwhile, leaks point to a remake that could potentially arrive by the next generation.

PlayStation continues to ignore the subject amid the rumors, expectations, and speculation. Instead, the gaming giant is focusing on a select few IPs, like Horizon and God of War.

GTA 6 Trailer Debuted 7 Months Ago But Rockstar Still Radio Silent

Story Highlight
  • Rockstar unveiled the very first GTA 6 trailer in December last year.
  • It’s been seven months since then, but fans are still waiting for new information.
  • Many speculate that the team is aiming to launch the second trailer in December again.

GTA 6 remains the most anticipated release in the gaming industry at the moment. Following last year’s reveal trailer, the game is confirmed for a Fall 2025 release. However, nearly one year before this date, the team has yet to share new information.

Moreover, it’s been seven months since the team showed GTA 6 for the first time. Since then, Rockstar has kept fans in the dark, leading to speculations and discussions about the next showcase.

Why it matters: The GTA 6 trailer broke many records upon its launch, becoming the most-viewed non-music video on YouTube just 24 hours after its launch.

Fans on social media have noted that GTA 6 was first shown off seven months ago, on December 5, 2023. It’s certainly odd to reflect on this fact since time seems to have gone by in a flash. However, everyone seems more focused on Rockstar’s marketing plans.

Fans believe the game will show up again in December this year. This would mark one full year since the first trailer.

You’re not going to hear anymore news until December 2024! That’s a fact! By this year, they’ll drop trailer #2.

-Seanlxgue

The second trailer should be an exciting reveal from Rockstar. While a new look at GTA 6 sounds good enough already, a new trailer should be the beginning of more extensive marketing.

Perhaps pre-orders for the game will go live alongside this reveal. Nonetheless, fans have remarked how quickly time has flown by. However, some also noted that it hasn’t been fast enough to bring them close to GTA 6’s release.

GTA-6-Image
GTA 6 Is Going To Break Many Records Next Year

It is important to note that Rockstar’s API changes suggest something is already in the works, which could mean a second trailer is closer than anticipated. Whatever the case may be, fans are more than happy to wait one year for more GTA 6 footage after 10 years of constant anticipation.

In typical Rockstar fashion, the studio will likely make an announcement once the trailer is nearly ready. This new look will also be another record-breaker since GTA 6 is still the subject of mass anticipation.

The game is bound to become 2025’s biggest release. According to Xbox, many publishers are even afraid of competing with the game, so it will be interesting to see how the industry reacts to GTA 6.

KINGPIN Is Back And I Am All Up For It!

Story Highlight
  • Legendary overclocker Vince “Kingpin” Lucido is making a comeback by teaming up with PNY.
  • The Kingpin-PNY collaboration aims to bring cutting-edge, high-performance graphics cards, including the most awaited release of Kingpin’s new card with NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series by the end of 2024.
  • Overclocking enthusiasts can expect new and more advanced cooling technologies just like back in the days of EVGA-Kingpin.

For all the extreme overclocking lovers out there, yes, you heard it right: KINGPIN is back. When I first heard the news that Kingpin was making a comeback, my excitement was through the roof. For those of us who have followed the world of high-performance computing and overclocking, Kingpin is more than just a name. It’s a symbol of pushing hardware to its absolute limits.

The legendary overclocker, Vince Lucido, aka Kingpin, is back, and this time in collaboration with PNY. This news signifies a great shift in the overclocking world, and I couldn’t be more excited.

A Legend’s Departure: The EVGA Era

Let’s rewind a bit. Kingpin and EVGA were together for years. Their partnership resulted in some of the most high-end graphics cards in the market. The EVGA Kingpin edition cards, namely EVGA RTX 2080TI Kingpin, EVGA RTX 3090TI Kingpin and other cards, are known for their superior cooling solutions and overclocking potential. They have also set numerous world records over the years.

However, when EVGA announced that it wouldn’t be making any overclocked GPUs anymore, the collaboration between Kingpin and EVGA ended. This left a big hole in the world of extreme overclocking. It felt like the end of an era, and many, including myself, wondered what would come next.

The Return of the King: KINGPIN’s Collaboration with PNY

Just when it seemed like the golden days were behind us, the announcement came that Kingpin was back, and this time, he was teaming up with PNY. Kingpin himself announced this while talking to Gamers Nexus on their YouTube channel. This news feels like a breath of fresh air for most of us.

PNY is a well-respected name in the graphics card industry and is known for its robust and reliable products. It is now going on an adventure in the overclocking world with Kingpin, and to be fair, who would not want to collaborate with the legend? We all wait to see whether this collaboration will bring us a new generation of high-end graphics cards or not.

To make your day even better, I would like to share that Kingpin’s new card will come out with the launch of NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series as stated by the legend himself. RTX 50 will most probably come out by the end of 2024.

Why PNY?

The question that might be circulating in your mind right now is why KINGPIN chose PNY. Why not ASUS, MSI or any other organization that is also renowned for their extremely overclocked GPUs? The answer to this question is very simple and Kingpin himself said that he did not opt for ASUS or MSI as they already have too many cooks in the kitchen.

What Does This Mean To Extreme Overclocking Lovers

The overclocking community is always striving for improvement and high performance. With Kingpin’s knowledge and PNY’s engineering capabilities, we can expect high-quality products designed for enthusiasts who demand the best of the best.

Why I Am Excited About KINGPIN’s Return

One of the reasons I’ve always loved Kingpin’s items is his devotion to working on minor details and superior design. These are more than just graphics cards; they’re works of art made for people who aim for high performance. I have enjoyed EVGA GTX 1080TI Kingpin for many years now, and it offers me a guaranteed 2025 MHz+ Overclock for the smoothest gameplay.

In addition, the cooling solutions, the power delivery systems, and the overall build quality of Kingpin are second to none. With PNY’s backing, I’m expecting nothing less than top-tier hardware.

As we know hardware heats up when it is overclocked, so efficient cooling is essential. Kingpin’s previous collaborations have always featured advanced cooling solutions, from elaborate air coolers to liquid cooling systems. I am eagerly waiting to see what type of advanced cooling technologies will come out of this new partnership with PNY.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next?

As we wait for the first products from the KINGPIN-PNY collaboration, I am full of excitement and hope. The possibilities are infinite, and I cannot wait to see how this partnership will shape the future of extreme overclocking. Will we see new world records? New benchmarks? Innovative cooling and power solutions? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain “The return of Kingpin is going to be a game-changer”.

AI PCs Are Exciting, But You Don’t Really Need Them

Story Highlight
  • Existing PCs with decent CPUs and GPUs can handle most AI tasks efficiently, making AI PCs unnecessary for most users.
  • The majority of the AI services rely on internet connectivity instead of hardware, which further reduces the need for an AI PC for you.
  • AI PCs are currently a luxury, so I advise you to wait for the maturity of this technology.

AI PCs are making headlines, and there has been a lot of buzz about them recently. Every leading computer company, from laptop manufacturers to those producing the best gaming PCs and desktops, is keen to claim they offer an AI PC. Despite the buzz and intriguing prospects offered by these PCs, I’m here to explain why you don’t really need to buy an AI PC just yet.

First, let’s clarify what an AI PC is. Essentially, AI PCs are computers designed to support artificial intelligence capabilities, indulging specialized hardware like Neural Processing Units (NPUs) to accelerate machine learning tasks. These PCs aim to enhance performance in areas like voice recognition, real-time language translation, and predictive computing.

Existing Hardware Is Sufficient For Consumer-Level AI Tasks

AI PCs are designed to support specialized hardware like Neural Processing Units (NPUs) to accelerate machine learning tasks. While this sounds impressive, most AI tools available today can run efficiently on an average PC.

Intel NPU (Intel)

Let’s take the example of voice assistants and predictive typing. Your current PC, equipped with a decent CPU and perhaps a mid-range GPU, can handle these tasks smoothly. Software like Google Assistant, Alexa, Cortana, and Siri already perform very well without the need for specialized AI hardware. Upgrading to an AI PC for these tasks would be an unnecessary expense, in my opinion.

A Regular PC Can Easily Run Cloud-Based AI Services

Most AI services we use daily rely heavily on internet connectivity rather than local processing power. Applications like virtual assistants, online language translators, and AI-driven search engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, Waldo, Copilot, Brave, etc perform computations on remote servers and send results back to your device.

This cloud-based approach also goes to show that you don’t really need an AI PC as you can run these tasks on your regular PC having good internet connectivity. As someone who uses their computer for both work and play every day, what can truly convince me to buy an AI PC are features that open up new possibilities we’ve never seen before.

For instance, on-device AI assistants made for different tasks—whether for writers, designers, or developers—can generate nearly complete drafts based on your instructions, leaving you to only finalize your work. Something like this would stimulate me to buy them, but for now, it’s still a waiting game.

Practical Needs: Assess Your Requirements

For everyday tasks, traditional PCs perform exceptionally well. Investing in an AI PC for them is overkill and doesn’t provide any noticeable improvement in your computing experience.

Yes’ if you’re in a niche field that requires heavy AI processing like machine learning research or high-level AI development, then buying an AI PC might make sense. However, there are few users and few far between. For the majority of us, traditional PCs with powerful CPUs and GPUs are more than enough.

Wait for Maturity

Technology advances rapidly, and AI is no exception. Reports about a future Windows 12 upgrade suggest that Microsoft is planning to include more advanced AI capabilities into the operating system. This could include an improved Copilot for common tasks or an AI Explorer that learns your workflows and suggests relevant fields accordingly.

In order to fulfill this ambition, Windows 12 might require a dedicated NPU to handle the AI tasks locally and more efficiently. And what will this mean? Yes, you guessed it right: AI PCs will become more common, and surely, more and more people will be willing to buy them.

Windows 12 Concept (Image via Addy Visuals)

Make The Smart Move

AI PCs are truly amazing and might as well take over the computing industry in the future. But for now, the high cost and benefits don’t justify the incremental improvements and advantages that they offer.

So what should you do now? Well, I would suggest hold off for now and let the technology mature. Let the PCs become more affordable before you jump into buying them. For now, stick to your regular PCs as you can very easily perform the majority of your tasks on them.

Snapdragon X Series To Offer Up To 10 SoCs

We already know how the reviews of the Snapdragon X Elite were disappointing. But now we get to know there are 10 SoCs in the  line-up. These are divided in to two groups of 5x Snapdragon X Elite and 5x Snapdragon X Plus.

If you look at the Qualcomm Adreno graphic files, you will find that 10 SoCs are listed there not five. However, the thing is that we only know the specification of five models. All the Snapdragon X Elite offer the same 12-core CPU configuration, compared to the 10 cores of the Snapdragon The only difference is linked to the frequencies of the CPU cores and the performance of the GPU.

Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Plus

So far, the ASUS Vivebook S15’s Snapdragon X Elite XE78100 performance evaluations have been available to the us. As far as we are aware, the Samsung Book4 Edge is the only laptop that has been revealed to have the top-tier SoC, the Snapdragon X Elite X1E80100.

As you are aware, the Snapdragon X Elite (XE78100) has already been the subject of initial reviews. The initial testing has not been encouraging. It is now necessary to acknowledge that the software is green.

When it comes down to it, they do provide extremely good performance for the energy consumption they generate when compared to their competitors with x86 architecture, even though they are unable to outperform the finest solutions from AMD or Intel.

The final optimizations for the Snapdragon SoCs will be available in few months. So lets hope that they turn out to be some noticeable improvements in performance.

Splinter Cell Remake Taking Inspiration From Metal Gear Solid For Stealth

Story Highlights
  • Splinter Cell’s stealth gameplay was heavily inspired by Metal Gear Solid.
  • The team still highly regards such gameplay elements, and the remake is expected to borrow from the same fundamentals.
  • The Splinter Cell director believes that Metal Gear Solid established a perfect set of rules.

Splinter Cell is one of Ubisoft’s most popular IPs. The first game released in 2002 heavily emphasized stealth gameplay, and the team is currently working on modernizing these elements with a new remake.

According to the game director, many of those elements were inspired directly by Metal Gear Solid.

Why it matters: This is not the first time Metal Gear Solid has been credited with revolutionizing stealth gameplay. The franchise has inspired various IPs, making it unique.

Splinter Cell Remake Has Been In The Works For A While

In an interview with GamesRadar, Splinter Cell director Francois Coulon revealed that Metal Gear Solid showed the team how to create stealth mechanics. The game had consistent rules, which played a role in making the experience so great.

It is a complete and consistent set of rules that set the way for any stealth game.

– Francois Coulon

He explained that any single element missing from the experience would make it seem dull or ridiculous. However, Metal Gear Solid executed everything perfectly, making it a balanced offering that worked so well.

Splinter Cell directly borrowed from these elements multiple decades ago. Years later, both Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell are getting remakes. Since Splinter Cell already took inspiration from Metal Gear Solid, fans can expect the same inspiration to carry through.

Ubisoft is said to be working on a faithful remake, though it will make changes to the story.

Splinter Cell Remake Is Likely To Use The Same Fundamentals From Metal Gear Solid

Furthermore, the game will use ray-traced reflections for the stealth gameplay to innovate the genre further.

Previous reports also pointed out that the development is heading toward completion. Ubisoft Toronto is now assisting with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, but the team has yet to share gameplay from any of these projects.

Ubisoft Tells XDefiant Fans To “Move On” If They’re Unsatisfied With The Game

Story Highlight
  • XDefiant became a massive title at launch, but players have various concerns about its current state.
  • Many fans have claimed that the game is full of bugs, and the producer has recently responded to these concerns.
  • According to Mark Rubin, players are free to move on if they can’t deal with XDefiant’s bugs.

Ubisoft has disappointed its fans multiple times during the past few years. Perhaps Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the only recent game from the studio with a good reception.

The team also found major success with XDefiant. Following incredible promise ahead of its release, the first-person shooter reached 8 million players in its first week. However, it still has many problems, including various bugs, that need to be ironed out.

Players are complaining about the bugs, but the producer has asked them to move on from the game if they are bothered by these problems.

Why it matters: This statement has been seen as Ubisoft not paying enough attention to its fandom, creating controversy in the community.

XDefiant Producer Reply
XDefiant Producer’s Reply To The User On Twitter

Mark Rubin has talked about the whole situation on Twitter and has let the public know about the challenges this team is currently facing. On Twitter, a user said the game feels rushed due to many bugs

Rubin’s response made sense for the most part, but the last statement quickly became controversial.

If you like what we are trying to do, stick around. But if the game isn’t for you, that’s ok. You can move on.

-Mark Rubin

Rubin explains that XDefiant hasn’t been on the market for two decades, so the team is still coming to terms with many elements. He also explained that the Snowdrop Engine isn’t the best fit for a first-person shooter since it has been used in MMO-like games in the past.

The producer compared XDefiant to Call of Duty and Apex Legends, claiming that they were built on engines designed for first-person shooters. Still, this doesn’t justify the team being unable to deal with the bugs.

Even Nintendo recently emphasized the importance of launching games in a polished state.

XDefiant Long Term Support
XDefiant Has Seen Huge Success Despite Being Filled With Bugs

It is also important to note that last year’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora ran on the same engine despite being a first-person shooter. It did not suffer from similar issues, so it’s quite shocking to see the producer telling upset players to move on simply.

Nonetheless, asking fans fed up with these bugs to move on isn’t a solution. The team’s frustration over this situation is understandable, but Rubin’s approach was not the best here.

How Shuffle Time Can Shape Persona 6 Gameplay

Story Highlights
  • The return of Shuffle Time will undoubtedly enhance gameplay mechanics.
  • Shuffle Time introduces an element of risk and reward to players after each battle.
  • Players may become more motivated to explore dungeons knowing there is a reward at the end.
  • The return of the mechanic will impact persona progression and will speed up the game’s progress.

People worldwide are waiting for the release of Persona 6, the new installment of the Persona RPG series. Despite there being limited information about the game, enthusiasts believe that it will resemble Persona 5 in many ways. Gamers are speculating about various aspects of the gameplay and mechanics of the game.

Return of Shuffle Time

One major topic of discussion is the revival of the Shuffle Time mechanic. This mechanic was found in the earlier games of the Persona series that influenced the overall gameplay big time. Players are excited and anticipate the return of this mechanic as in their words “it made the game more fun and exciting”.

Understanding Shuffle Time: A Recap from Previous Titles

In Persona 3 Shuffle time existed as a main method to reward the player after every battle. Players had to keep track of the card they wanted while avoiding the bad cards or summoning Persona’s infamous Reaper Boss.

The mechanic when activated allows players to draw a certain amount of cards that can then give them rewards and even a new Persona. The mechanic did however have its risks in the form of cards that may slow down progress. The feature typically manifests after completing dungeon battles.

The decision of a player in selecting a card becomes pivotal in this way as it determines the bonuses or losses after each battle. This adds an element of strategy building and anticipation to the post-battle phase, as seen in earlier persona games such as Persona 5.

Shuffle Time’s Potential Impact on Persona 6’s Dynamics

The inclusion of Shuffle Time in Persona 6 has the potential to influence the gameplay significantly. The mechanism forces players to make meaningful decisions after each battle.

The randomness of the presented cards creates unpredictability in the game where the selected card might either make or break the player’s progress. Players need to be aware of the risks and the rewards involved in each shuffle time. If used correctly players can capitalize on this and make speedy progress.

Persona 5

Furthermore, the mechanic could also catalyze to promotion of exploration and experimentation by players within Persona 6’s dungeons. This can lead to greater amounts of play time for people and can cause more attention driven towards the game’s dungeons.

This also adds to the game’s replay value, as no two gameplay will be the same. Dude, with randomized cards in each playthrough of the gamer, the progress will be different.

Persona Progression: Customization and Rewards

Persona 5

As the game progresses, players can gather new personas and bonuses through the Shuffle Time mechanic. This allows them to craft a team of their liking that reflects their gameplay preferences.

This allowed players to manage their offense, defense, and support. This also adds a sense of ownership through customization and invests the players to shape their team’s abilities and strengths.

Merging Confidants and Shuffle Time

In Persona 5, confidants played a major role in shaping relationships with various characters. This granted new abilities and enhanced the social interactions of the players. Let’s imagine if Persona 6 merged confidants with shuffle time.

If this were to happen, the bonds formed with characters would largely influence the gameplay. For example, the game may let players pick an extra card or return one. It could also slow down the shuffling so it’s easier to get the desired card. This could heighten the impact of the player’s social choices in the game, blending narrative depth with a tactical advantage.

Shuffle Time’s Contribution to Persona 6’s Story

Beyond its immediate gameplay implications, Shuffle Time can greatly impact Persona 6’s narrative and themes. By including the mechanic, developers can better their world-building and storytelling by using different methods. There is no doubt that Shuffle Time in Persona 6 will make the game stand out and create depth and player engagement.

It is quite obvious that Persona 6 is gonna be a great addition to the Persona series. If let flourish it will undoubtedly create a great atmosphere to indulge the player. The mix and matching of previous mechanics will take the game to great heights selling millions of copies.
