For all the extreme overclocking lovers out there, yes, you heard it right: KINGPIN is back. When I first heard the news that Kingpin was making a comeback, my excitement was through the roof. For those of us who have followed the world of high-performance computing and overclocking, Kingpin is more than just a name. It’s a symbol of pushing hardware to its absolute limits.

The legendary overclocker, Vince Lucido, aka Kingpin, is back, and this time in collaboration with PNY. This news signifies a great shift in the overclocking world, and I couldn’t be more excited.

A Legend’s Departure: The EVGA Era

Let’s rewind a bit. Kingpin and EVGA were together for years. Their partnership resulted in some of the most high-end graphics cards in the market. The EVGA Kingpin edition cards, namely EVGA RTX 2080TI Kingpin, EVGA RTX 3090TI Kingpin and other cards, are known for their superior cooling solutions and overclocking potential. They have also set numerous world records over the years.

However, when EVGA announced that it wouldn’t be making any overclocked GPUs anymore, the collaboration between Kingpin and EVGA ended. This left a big hole in the world of extreme overclocking. It felt like the end of an era, and many, including myself, wondered what would come next.

The Return of the King: KINGPIN’s Collaboration with PNY

Just when it seemed like the golden days were behind us, the announcement came that Kingpin was back, and this time, he was teaming up with PNY. Kingpin himself announced this while talking to Gamers Nexus on their YouTube channel. This news feels like a breath of fresh air for most of us.

PNY is a well-respected name in the graphics card industry and is known for its robust and reliable products. It is now going on an adventure in the overclocking world with Kingpin, and to be fair, who would not want to collaborate with the legend? We all wait to see whether this collaboration will bring us a new generation of high-end graphics cards or not.

To make your day even better, I would like to share that Kingpin’s new card will come out with the launch of NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series as stated by the legend himself. RTX 50 will most probably come out by the end of 2024.

Why PNY?

The question that might be circulating in your mind right now is why KINGPIN chose PNY. Why not ASUS, MSI or any other organization that is also renowned for their extremely overclocked GPUs? The answer to this question is very simple and Kingpin himself said that he did not opt for ASUS or MSI as they already have too many cooks in the kitchen.

What Does This Mean To Extreme Overclocking Lovers

The overclocking community is always striving for improvement and high performance. With Kingpin’s knowledge and PNY’s engineering capabilities, we can expect high-quality products designed for enthusiasts who demand the best of the best.

Why I Am Excited About KINGPIN’s Return

One of the reasons I’ve always loved Kingpin’s items is his devotion to working on minor details and superior design. These are more than just graphics cards; they’re works of art made for people who aim for high performance. I have enjoyed EVGA GTX 1080TI Kingpin for many years now, and it offers me a guaranteed 2025 MHz+ Overclock for the smoothest gameplay.

In addition, the cooling solutions, the power delivery systems, and the overall build quality of Kingpin are second to none. With PNY’s backing, I’m expecting nothing less than top-tier hardware.

As we know hardware heats up when it is overclocked, so efficient cooling is essential. Kingpin’s previous collaborations have always featured advanced cooling solutions, from elaborate air coolers to liquid cooling systems. I am eagerly waiting to see what type of advanced cooling technologies will come out of this new partnership with PNY.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next?

As we wait for the first products from the KINGPIN-PNY collaboration, I am full of excitement and hope. The possibilities are infinite, and I cannot wait to see how this partnership will shape the future of extreme overclocking. Will we see new world records? New benchmarks? Innovative cooling and power solutions? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain “The return of Kingpin is going to be a game-changer”.
