The single-slot design makes it one of the smallest GeForce RTX 3090 cards currently available. The card itself is built extremely well with almost no design flaws. In addition, the aluminum backplate does a great job of protecting the back of the PCB.

While water cooling is incredibly effective and does a great job in keeping the temperatures low, the big price hike for a small performance gain might not be for everyone.

The MSI GeForce RTX 3090 GAMING X Trio 24G features MSI’s TORX fan 4.0 design, with a total of three 90mm fans; it features boost clock speeds ranging from 1785 MHz to 1810 MHz which is a fair upgrade from the founder’s edition.
Unlike the founder’s edition, which uses a 12-pin power connector to deliver all of the power, MSI has gone with three 8-PIN power connectors that look much cleaner than the 12-pin power connectors used in the founder’s edition.
It uses a 14-phase power design for its VRMs with a different configuration than the founder’s edition boards. Additionally, A three-phase design is used for the memory voltage.
For anyone concerned about the RGB, the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio comes with a lot of it. With a strip present at the edge of the backplate along with an MSI logo that also lights up.
