Furthermore, if the workload requires more performance, the GPU can crank up its speed to 2560 MHz. Okay, so the performance is top-notch. But that’s not the only impressive feature of the Taichi RX 7900 XT. I was blown away by how beautiful the GPU looks. If the above RX 7900 XT is a bit high-end for you, and you would like something more budget-friendly without compromising on performance all that much, then I would recommend the XFX Speedster MERC 319 RX 6750 XT Black. The name is quite big, but the GPU is nothing short of performance, either. It strikes a great balance of price-to-performance ratio, and you can expect solid 1440p gaming from it.
Let’s begin with the performance numbers. The RX 6750 XT comes with 2560 streaming processors, and the Speedster MERC 319 Black Edition I am talking about has a game clock and boost clock frequency of 2554 MHz and 2623 MHz, respectively. Of course, the RX 6750 XT also comes with some advanced features, including FSR, to boost performance in high-resolution games even more. I played games at 1440p on the MERC 319 RX 6750 XT Black paired with an i5-13600K, and the combo handled AAA titles pretty well.
In fact, when we compared the RX 6750 XT with the RX 6700 XT, the former showed ~8% better FPS in 1080p and around 4.1% better FPS in 1440p. Not only that, but the RX 6750 XT was also more thermally efficient than the RX 6700 XT at lower resolutions.
Speaking of thermal efficiency, XFX has used a sophisticated cooler for the MERC 319 RX 6750 XT. XFX has not only achieved phenomenal airflow, but they did it while maintaining beautiful aesthetics. For an RX 6750 XT, the size of this variant is quite massive, and that’s mostly due to the extensive cooling solution. The card uses three fans to cool down its huge heatsink. Taking a peek inside the cooling system reveals that XFX has used 5x 6mm copper heatpipes to facilitate quick and efficient heat transfer.
Of course, all the important components, including the VRM/MOSFETs, memory, and GPU chips, are sandwiched between thermal pads from both sides of the PCB. Given how reliable the cooling system of the MERC 319 RX 6750 XT is, it comes as no surprise that I had no thermal concerns in my tests. I played @ 1440p resolution for hours, and the card was nowhere near thermal throttling. Furthermore, its noise output was also barely audible, thanks to the Zero RPM Mode integration, which stops the fans from spinning when the GPU isn’t under intensive load.
Coming towards the looks, the XFX Speedster MERC 319 RX 6750 XT Black is one of the most mean-looking and beautiful graphics cards I have ever tested. The GPU looks simple, just a plain black aesthetic, and the branding on the backplate and LED light at the top, all of it combined, give the GPU a very unique aesthetic. However, if you are a fan of flashy RGB, then this variant is not for you.

When we competed the RTX 3060 Ti against Intel’s ARC A770, the NVIDIA GPU was better with an average of around 15% more FPS.
Speaking of the compact cooling system, the ZOTAC has used a 2-fan design with the RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge OC. The heat transfer is facilitated with the help of 4 heatpipes, which is decent for a GPU of this size. The heatpipes, thermal pads, and the massive heatsink help keep the GPU chip, VRAM, and VRM’s temperatures lowered. The GPU does not have high power consumption. In fact, ZOTAC recommends a 650W PSU to go along with it since its rated power consumption is 200W.
Therefore, for smooth and stable power delivery, a 6-phase VRM design is used. You might think that the VRM is weak, but that’s not the case at all. In my testing, the graphics card maintained its performance without breaking a sweat. The only negative part about this GPU is its small form-factor design, which hurts its overall performance.
Speaking of looks, the graphics card is actually quite visually appealing. You can get it in two colors, white and black. I personally like the white color because it shows the curves and edges more prominently. Anyways, the GPU does not come with any RGB. However, there is a white LED light at the top that lights up the ZOTAC Gaming logo. The overall looks are good, and the compact design of the GPU makes it a really good option for small-form-factor builds.

If you have moved past 1080p gaming and are now at 1440p, then you need to go for the ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4070 OC to pair with your i5-13600K. For 1440p gaming, you need a solid graphics card that offers great performance. Furthermore, 1440p is still CPU-intensive to some extent, and so the i5-13600K does a great job of nailing this resolution.

There is no doubt that the RTX 4000 series graphics cards, in general, are very huge in size. However, one benefit that comes with it is great cooling, and the TUF Gaming RTX 4070 OC is no different. The GPU comes with one of the best cooling systems I have ever tested. It not only performs well but also has a minimal noise output. Furthermore, given the sheer performance, the power consumption is also actually efficient, necessitating a 650W PSU. Given its 200W TDP, ASUS has stayed with the 1x 8-pin connector instead of going after the controversial 12VHPWR.
Going over the power requirements, the ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4070 OC uses a phenomenal 10+2 VRM structure, with 10 phases for the GPU and 2 for the memory. All 12 phases are rated for 50A each. The VRM structure is quite bulletproof, and you can expect stable and reliable operations all day long.
To cool down such a beast, ASUS has used a triple-fan setup that blows cool air to the massive heatsink. The heatsink uses 6 heatpipes for heat transfer from the GPU, VRM, and memory chips. To maintain a noise-free experience, the three axial-tech fans will stop spinning as soon as the temperature climbs below 50°C.
As for aesthetics, you get an RGB light at the top, which lights up the TUF Gaming logo along with a strip. The overall look is very aggressive and gives off a gamer-ish vibe. The only downside of the exterior is the massive size that takes up 3 slots. Also, if we move towards connectivity, the lack of DisplayPort 2.0 support is also disappointing.

Lastly, we have the PNY RTX 4080 XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X, the name is surely a mouthful, but the same can easily be said for its performance as well. PNY isn’t as well-known as other competitors like ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte, but when I tested their RTX 4080 variant, I was blown away by how well they have gotten several key features. That’s why I have listed their RTX 4080 XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X as the Best 4K GPU For i5-13600K.
The RTX 4080, in general, can easily handle 4K gaming without any troubles. NVIDIA built the RTX 4090 to actually be their real 4K GPU, but the RTX 4080 can run your favorite AAA titles at 4K without breaking a sweat, either. The graphics card comes with a whopping 9728 CUDA cores, and the PNY variant I am talking about has a base and boost clock speed of 2205 MHz and 2550 MHz, respectively.
Of course, with the help of DLSS 3.0, backed by 304 4th-gen Tensor cores, the GPU can give you exceptional 4K framerates. However, you can even turn off DLSS 3.0 and enjoy 4K native gameplay with it as well. In all of my tests, the PNY RTX 4080 XRL8 paired with the i5-13600K gave me no issues at 4K resolutions. I had an immersive and fun gaming experience. The RTX 4080, in general, is a superb card in terms of performance. When we compared it against the previous gen’s flagship, the RTX 3090, we found that the RTX 3090 is behind the RTX 4080 in all gaming benchmarks.
Taking apart the PNY RTX 4080 XRL8, I found that the GPU is using a 14+3 phase design, with 14 phases for GPU and 3 for memory. Each phase is rated for 50A. The VRM structure is adequate and well-built, and it should be, considering the power requirements of this beast. Under intensive workload, the GPU consumes north of 300W easily, so you need a solid 700W or above PSU to go along with it.
Given the high power requirements, you can expect the PNY RTX 4080 XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X to have an extensive cooling solution. Well, PNY did not disappoint; in fact, it actually blew me away with the cooling performance. The card uses eight heatpipes to transfer heat from the copper baseplate on the GPU to the massive heatsink. There are three fans that help dissipate the heat efficiently. All core components, like the GPU chip, memory, and VRM/MOSFETs, are cooled by the heatsink.
It’s not just the sheer performance of the cooling system that impresses me; it is also how quiet it is. First off, the GPU has great thermals, and it stays far from thermal throttling even under high workloads. But, when compared to premium offerings from all competitors like MSI, ASUS, and Gigabyte, the PNY variant stays the quietest. It is truly amazing how well-built the cooling system is.
Focusing on the looks, the PNY RTX 4080 XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X is one of the most aggressive and beautiful graphics cards I have ever laid my eyes on. There is an X-shaped RGB lighting that meets at the center fan, and the overall edges, angles, and feel of the shroud are simply gorgeous. I would give it a solid 10/10 just for the looks alone.
