A rating for Bully on modern consoles and PC has suddenly shown up.
The game is already playable on these consoles, suggesting that Rockstar is working on a new version.
The rating does not mention the Nintendo Switch, pointing to a potential Bully remake from the studio.
Rockstar’s Bully has long been one of its most beloved IPs. While it has remained ignored for more than a decade, fans continue to discuss a potential sequel. Many also hope to see Rockstar joining the trend of remakes.
This could open the doors to remakes of beloved classics like GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption, and Bully. While the developer’s plans are anybody’s guess, a small hint has just popped up. Following a new rating, Bully may be getting a remake.
Why it matters: Rockstar has found success with re-releases like Red Dead Redemption. However, the team has yet to delve into the business of producing fully-fledged remakes.
Bully Has Just Been Rated In Taiwan | Image via Gematsu
The Taiwan Rating Committee has just rated Rockstar’s classic title for last and current-generation consoles, in addition to PC.
What’s interesting here is that Bully is already available on all these consoles through emulation or proper backward compatibility. Similarly, a PC version already exists, making this rating more interesting.
Since the title has been rated for every modern platform but the Nintendo Switch, this may an indication of remake. On the other hand, Rockstar could simply opt for a remaster.
However, in this instance, it would not make much sense for the studio to skip a Nintendo Switch release. Last year’s Red Dead Redemption remaster also arrived on the hybrid console, so the same could easily be done for Bully.
Bully Is Nearly Two Decades Old
Whatever the case may be, a new version of Bully certainly appears to be in the works.
It can be said that Bully never got the attention it deserved. Rockstar is unlikely to make a sequel anytime soon either, so a highly polished re-release could be a nice compromise for fans who long to see this IP returning.
For now, the studio is fully focused on GTA 6. However, with GTA 6 coming next year and this new rating showing up, perhaps the team has plans for Bully somewhere down the line.

Black Myth: Wukong was always expected to be one of Steam’s biggest releases this year.
Its free benchmark tool already showed interest from thousands of gamers, and another sign has now showed up.
The title has made a new record and led to Steam’s highest bandwidth usage for a pre-load.
Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong is right around the corner. Thanks to solid reviews and an extensive marketing campaign, the title is on track to becoming one of 2024’s biggest releases.
While this comes as no surprise, it seems Black Myth: Wukong has already broken a major record. As fans prepare for the release, they have set a new record with this action RPG’s pre-loads.
Why it matters: This is the first major AAA release from Game Science. If this record is any indication, the action RPG is about to make a huge name for itself very soon.
Black Myth: Wukong Has Led To An Incredible Surge In Steam’s Bandwidth Usage
Black Myth: Wukong is releasing on August 20, and the Steam pre-load is now available. Since this title takes up a whopping 100+ GB, many users have already begun to install the action RPG to prepare for launch day.
According to reports, these pre-loads have caused a huge bandwidth spike on Steam. In fact, this spike is the highest ever on the platform, beating CDPR’s historical launch with Cyberpunk 2077.
Despite its many failures, Cyberpunk 2077 recorded more than a million concurrent users in 2020. Ahead of its release, Steam reported 51Tbps of peak bandwidth usage. However, this figure is currently at 68Tbps.
This is mainly due to a large number of Chinese gamers. It’s no secret that Black Myth: Wukong will be highly popular in this market, and Steam reports that most of the bandwidth usage is coming from Asia.
Cyberpunk 2077 Had The Highest Bandwidth Usage Until Recently
At this rate, Black Myth: Wukong could turn out to be another major Steam release in 2024. Games like Palworld and Helldivers 2 have already shown incredible figures this year, but it seems they were far from the only ones.
As fans look forward to the August 20 release, they can anticipate 40 hours of grand bosses, jaw-dropping visuals, and an engaging narrative based on the Chinese novel, Journey to The West. These are just a few reasons to anticipate Black Myth: Wukong.

Stellar Blade sold 1 million units and became a financial success for Shift Up.
It contributed to 40% of the team’s revenue last quarter, leading to record figures of $48 million in revenue.
The team also made $33.1 million in operating profit, while the net profit rose by 5%.
Stellar Blade is now a certified hit for Shift Up. As the studio’s first release, the title has achieved an impressive Metacritic score, sold more than a million units, and introduced this Korean studio to a global fandom.
Needless to say, such fanfare has led to impressive financial success for the studio. Following a major surge in share prices, the team has confirmed record revenue for Q2 2024.
Why it matters: These impressive records will allow Shift Up to produce even bigger and better games moving forward. The team will use these funds to ensure it can meet Stellar Blade’s high bar.
Stellar Blade’s Combat Is Great | Image By Tech4Gamers
The studio’s latest earnings release confirms a 65.4% growth in revenue year-on-year. Shift Up earned $48 million during the quarter, marking a new high for the team.
Elsewhere, Stellar Blade’s success drove impressive operating profit for the developer. The report confirms $33.1 million in operating profit, an increase of 49% year-on-year. Net profit also went up by 5%.
It is important to note that Shift Up already had a successful gaming business in the mobile industry. The team was doing well thanks to Goddess of Victory: Nikke’s success, and nearly 60% of its revenue last quarter still came from this game.
However, the fact that Stellar Blade alone led to new records speaks volumes about its success. According to the report, the latest release brought in $19 million of the total revenue.
It is also important to note that Shift Up skipped the PC audience, so the team achieved these profits from PS5 sales alone.
The team is now focusing efforts on continuing this success. A PC port is being planned, and more content has been hinted at. Following the commercial success, a sequel to Stellar Blade is also expected.
Apart from Shift Up, the team behind Lies of P saw similar success recently. Both studios have had a significant impact on the Korean gaming industry, encouraging more studios to try their hand at AAA game productions.

Black Myth: Wukong has been surrounded by controversy since its reviews went live.
A leaked document reveals various restrictions the team placed on content creators and reviewers.
Topics like feminist propaganda and politics are among the banned subjects the developers have mentioned in the document.
Black Myth: Wukong is the most anticipated release of this year, as it’s currently the best-selling and most wish-listed title on Steam. Reviews for the action RPG have also been released, suggesting that the title is a solid GOTY contender.
Despite all of this, Black Myth: Wukong has been facing its fair share of controversy. According to reports, a streaming agreement has been leaked, which revealed that outlets couldn’t talk about sensitive topics, including feminist propaganda.
Why it matters: It was previously revealed that Game Science refused to work with Sweet Baby Inc. This led to criticism, but it seems the team has doubled down on its approach.
This is not the first time Game Science has faced controversy.
A recently leaked screenshot suggests that Game Science banned discussion of certain topics when handing out review codes.
The leaked documents reveal that Game Science gave a list of things to do and avoid. Although the first section asked everyone to simply enjoy the game, the developer has given five topics to avoid in content based on Black Myth: Wukong.
Some of them are quite standard and basic, including instructions to respect other content creators and avoid offensive language. However, Game Science also told content creators not to discuss anything regarding politics or feminist propaganda.
Do NOT include politics, violence, nudity, feminist propaganda, fetishization, and other content that instigates negative discourse.

What’s interesting is that a major review still criticized Black Myth: Wukong for lacking diversity. This review has been at the center of the controversy, creating a wave of criticism for the author.
Black Myth: Wukong Arrives In Two Days.
This is not the first time Game Science has taken such a stance either. As mentioned earlier, the studio has been vocal about its intentions to avoid working with Sweet Baby Inc.
Previously, one of the lead developers also stated that men and women play different games because of biological conditions.
Anyhow, audiences are excited to see how Black Myth: Wukong performs at release. Despite the controversies, many are still excited by Game Science’s upcoming action RPG.

Black Myth: Wukong received less impressive scores in the West than in China.
The Chinese fandom is angry over reviews since some have pointed to inclusivity and diversity as a negative.
Steam forums are being flooded with posts from angry Chinese fans.
Game Science, the developer behind Black Myth: Wukong, has managed to steadily build excitement over four years. The game’s development has taken a long time, so fans have had high expectations.
Black Myth: Wukong always looked impressive and received great reviews at launch. While a score of 82/100 on Metacritic is solid, some reviewers gave the game a low score for very bizarre reasons. The Chinese fandom is angry over such reviews.
Why it matters: The success of Black Myth: Wukong will not only affect Game Science but increase the morale of all Chinese developers. Needless to say, positive reviews are very important for the team.
Chinese Players Are Angry Over Western Reviews
One of the reviewers specifically mentioned in the cons that the game is lacking in inclusivity and diversity, which doesn’t make much sense for a story based on a novel that is nearly hundreds of years old.
Chinese gamers have taken their anger to the Steam community discussions. The forum is now filled with angry fans. Not only that, but many other fans are furious over other reviews.
Fxxk you stupid excuses for bad reviews.
-Chinese Fan
The reviewer who commented on diversity and gave it a low score has become a topic of controversy now. The author is being highly criticized and threatened by many people on social media.
Elsewhere, Chinese fans are upset about the discrepancy in IGN’s review scores. The outlet’s Chinese review scored Black Myth: Wukong 10/10. However, IGN officially gave the game an 8/10. Many fans have specifically pointed to this review as an example of an unfair score.
Black Myth: Wukong’s Main Story Can Be Completed In Around 40 Hours
The Chinese fans seem upset since Black Myth: Wukong was a huge deal for their entire gaming industry. Following this release, other studios from China will likely show greater interest in AAA gaming.
As Black Myth: Wukong approaches its August 20 release, there is a lot of excitement for this action RPG. Perhaps this controversy has done more good than bad for the title, giving it extra attention that the action RPG may not have received otherwise.

Xbox is working with Marvel to relicense Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
It seems that the company wants to capitalize on the movie’s success by relisting and selling these titles.
These two games could open the floodgates, leading to license restorations for even more of Activision’s Marvel games.
After the immense success of Deadpool and Wolverine, everyone has their attention on the IP. While a solid Deadpool game already exists, it can’t be bought in stores or digitally anymore.
However, Xbox reportedly wants to capitalize on this success by relicensing the Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance ports.
Why it matters: Both Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance were published by Activision, which is now a part of Microsoft. However, that was before the acquisition, and Marvel is the one that holds the rights for those games and characters.
Speaking during the Xbox Era Podcast, Nick Baker stated that he heard Microsoft is working on relicensing the games. While they are quite old, Deadpool was released for the Xbox One and can be played on the current generation.
However, since Activision lost the rights several years ago, none of its Marvel games are currently available for purchase. Xbox seems to be attempting to deal with this problem.
They (Microsoft) are looking to get Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance relicensed to bring those two games back for PC and Series Consoles.
– Nick Baker
It is also important to note that this may be the beginning of something bigger. Similar rumors in the past have suggested that Xbox is interested in bringing back Activision’s older titles that are stuck in licensing limbo.
Perhaps these two games could lead to license restorations for the likes of X-Men Origins Wolverine and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, both of which are considered great superhero titles.
Deadpool was a massively underrated game.
We even saw the prices of the Deadpool game surge to over $140 because of the licensing problem. The movie, of course, has gone on to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, making over $1 billion.
Still, things may not be as simple as they seem. Insomniac is currently developing Marvel’s Wolverine, which could make the licensing a bit complicated. It may be tricky to strike a deal since Marvel is currently working with Sony.
Despite potential hurdles, however, the idea is certainly interesting. Activision’s older games certainly deserve more attention, and we would love to see them be relisted on modern digital stores.

Cinebench has made a name for itself with its different iterations over the years. It is used to test the single-core and multicore performance of a processor. The benchmarking tool has been around since 2000 and is still coming out with a new version every year.
Whether it is about testing CPUs or benchmarking GPUs, we have been using Cinebench for well over a decade for our reviews and guides. Anyone can download it by going over Maxon’s official website and choosing the one compatible with their OS.
User Interface and Usability
One of the likable things about Cinebench is its simplified user interface that has nothing complex on screen because all that sort of work gets done in the background. Moreover, you will find score data of several CPUs after launching it, which is certainly of great use because it helps you understand where your CPU stands in the competition.
Cinebench R23 (Image credits: Tech4Gamers)
If you are thinking of starting to use Cinebench and you’re not familiar with such tools. Worry not, as the user interface is uncomplicated and won’t overwhelm you, enabling you to adequately benchmark your selected CPU. So, yeah, even for newbies, Cinebench is snappy to use.
Core Features
Speaking of features, Cinebench has four things to offer its users.
CPU Benchmark
Now, this is an obvious one: the tool lets users test their processor’s strength in both single-core and multicore rendering tests. Cinebench puts a highly detailed 3D scene with complex geometry, high-quality lighting, textures, and reflections against the CPU and makes it render the full scene in chunks within a default timer of 10 minutes.
Cinebench R23 Multicore Render Test (Image credit: Tech4Gamers)
Similarly, to evaluate the results, Cinebench has criteria in which Cinebench notes down the rendering speed of the CPU as how quickly it rendered the scene, as well as the thermal performance, whether the CPU did thermal throttling or not. Then Cinebench gives a score based on those things and places it in the list of other already tested CPUs for you to judge.
GPU Benchmark
Cinebench also offers graphics card benchmarks; however, it was limited to testing only the OpenGL side of things. It wasn’t ideal as the dedicated graphics card benchmarking tool, but was good enough to have an idea regarding the GPU’s capabilities. Do note, though, that it has changed with the 2024 iteration of Cinebench, as Maxon has integrated the Redshift render engine for the graphics card’s rendering performance.
Cinebench 2024 GPU Render Test (Image credit: Tech4Gamers)
With that upgrade in the render engine, now Cinebench tests the GPU the same way as it does with the CPU. This is by making the graphics card render a 3D scene featuring a lot of stuff going on that you will either see in a game or during high-quality animated content creation. Such an approach and complex 3D scene push the hardware to its limits for the set time duration of 10 minutes or more.
Support For Multiple Platforms
What else we get with Cinebench is the multi-platform support, whether x86 and Arm64-based Windows machines or macOS-based MacBooks featuring Apple Silicon. It works across all platforms; it gives us the freedom to test a variety of devices.
Cost of The Tool
Another excellent point about Cinebench is that it’s a completely free benchmarking tool and requires no registration or payment process to use it. This further adds to its reasons for popularity and makes it more accessible to a wider audience.
Benchmarking Tools
We get to use two distinct benchmarking tools within Cinebench, the first one to test the CPU performance, and the second is reserved for graphics cards.
Moreover, the latest iterations of Cinebench, including R23 and R24, do not test the CPU within a minute or two. These new versions of Cinebench run benchmarks for a good 10 minutes to thoroughly test the processor’s performance by taxing all the cores and threads available. This applies to both single-core and multicore performance tests. It has been of great use, as now we can publish more accurate performance scores than before, and so can you.
Pros and Cons
Like everything has some unappealing things on its side, Cinebench also isn’t spared and has a number of Pros and Cons to offer.
What’s Good
What’s Bad
Free with no sign-up needed.
Very basic, lacks customization options.
Supports multiple platforms for better device comparisons.
Doesn’t support older or less powerful CPUs.
10-minute test maximizes CPU performance for reliable results.
Simple, user-friendly interface.
Improved GPU test in R23 & R24 using Redshift.
Comparison with Competitors
When comparing it with other benchmarking tools such as 3DMark, Geekbench, AIDA64, UNIGINE Benchmark, and UserBenchmark. It differs by a significant margin as it primarily focuses on CPU performance tests, while the 3DMark and UNIGINE take care of graphics cards, AIDA64 benchmarks the full system, and GeekBench for CPU and GPU.
Use Cases
This is one of the use cases for us where we were testing multiple CPUs against the Ryzen 7 7800X3D to see where they stand in terms of RAW CPU performance. We used Cinebench as one of our tools to conclude whether the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has the horsepower to run the latest and most demanding titles or not. Similarly, we also use Cinebench to benchmark our graphics cards.
Cinebench R23 Score (Image credit: Tech4Gamers)
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
As it is an application, it’s prone to develop issues for some reason, which is why we suggest you follow these troubleshooting steps to fight back against those issues.
System Freeze & Crashes: While performing tests using Cinebench, sometimes the system crashes or freezes mid-test. In such a situation, the culprit could be your CPU or RAM being unstable or the CPU running too hot. Check CPU temperatures during testing and perform a Prime95 test for RAM & CPU stability confirmation.
Cinebench Stops Responding: If, during a test or even after opening Cinebench, it stops responding all of a sudden, then make sure that you have all the requisite software installed and your PC’s operating system is up-to-date. If nothing works, try reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows.
Results Do Not Save: If test results refuse to save, then it’s either a bug or the tool lacks permission to save stuff on the drive. Run it as administrator and allow the software to save results locally.
Glossary of Terms
OpenGL: It’s a cross-language API that assists the GPU in rendering graphics, both 2D & 3D.
Single-core Performance: It represents the power of a single core of the processor; some tasks can’t be divided among multiple cores, so a single core has to do it.
Benchmarking Tool: Benchmarking tools exist for various components, and they help you evaluate the performance of those components against the competition.
Thermal Throttle: Thermal throttling is a safety feature so when the CPU/GPU exceeds their safe temperature limits, they automatically throttle down their clock speed to deal with higher temps.
Apple Silicon: Apple Silicon means those computing chips that Apple has made specifically for their products.
Prime95: This is another benchmarking tool that is mostly used for verifying CPU and RAM stability.
Rendering: When an image is being generated from a model or something else, it is called rendering.
API: The necessary protocols and tools needed to make software is called an API. OpenGL is an example of an Application Programming Interface or API.

According to the developer behind HAAK, porting their game on Xbox consoles was a huge nightmare.
They tried to follow the procedure for Microsoft Partner Center, but it was full of bugs.
This has led them to abandon the Xbox port altogether, but the PS5 version is still in the works.
There have been several instances in recent years where games get ported to Xbox later than PlayStation. Black Myth: Wukong is the latest example, but these delays have been attributed to the optimization problems that come with the less powerful Xbox Series S.
However, another problem has come to light recently. Blingame, the indie developer behind an upcoming Metroidvania game, HAAK, has highlighted what a ‘nightmare’ porting games to Xbox can be.
Why it matters: There seem to be various obstacles and bugs with the procedure you have to follow to port your games on Xbox. This is quite astonishing for a massive platform like Xbox.
HAAK developer’s statement on abandoning the Xbox port.
The HAAK developers were recently asked about the state of Xbox and PlayStation ports of their game on X. The studio revealed that the PlayStation port is going smoothly, but they’ve given up on the Xbox version because of the bugs in the Microsoft Partner Center.
What seemed like a simple procedure turned into a nightmare due to many bugs in Microsoft Partner Center.
-Blingame
The studio encountered several bugs during the registration process. Furthermore, when they tried to reach out using Microsoft Support, they ran into bugs again, preventing them from initiating an inquiry.
The team then reached out to Xbox, but it seems the problem is related to Microsoft and beyond Xbox’s responsibility. Much to everyone’s surprise, the studio had been trying to resolve the issue for 14 months, but it has not been successful.
This could escalate into a bigger problem for the Xbox consoles
If everything had gone smoothly, they would have prepared the port in just two weeks. This whole scenario is quite baffling and doesn’t give Microsoft a good look. It is only natural to assume that other studios run into similar issues.
If this remains the case for the future, Microsoft could see more problems later down the line. While the gaming giant likely offers better support for AAA studios, we wouldn’t be shocked to learn that some of them ran into similar hurdles.

After many delays, mainly due to the ongoing circumstances in Ukraine, Stalker 2 is set to release on November 20. As fans continue to anticipate this release date, they have picked the title as one of the most-anticipated releases of late 2024.

Stalker 2 is being developed on Unreal Engine 5
Geoff Keighley recently posted on X, asking people about their most-anticipated games coming later this year. Among others, Stalker 2 was one of the most recurrent names, showcasing how excited fans are for the sequel.
This isn’t the first time Stalker 2’s name has emerged in the list of games people look forward to the most. Data has suggested that it is the most-anticipated Game Pass title in 2024. Elsewhere, Steam’s wishlists tell a similar story.
The studio shared new footage of the game very recently. This deep dive focused on multiple elements, highlighting the visuals, gameplay mechanics, and more. Fans have also reacted positively to the latest presentation.
Overall, Stalker 2 is looking great, and the latest previews have been very positive. There are some other notable names in Geoff Keighley’s Twitter post as well.
These include the upcoming Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Dragon Age: Veilguard, and Star Wars Outlaws. However, fans seem to be more particularly excited about Stalker 2 since this release has been a long time coming.
GSC Game World has faced some of the worst development conditions recently. The team is based in Ukraine, creating difficult circumstances and leading to multiple delays.

Black Myth: Wukong is finally coming in three days.
The reviews are now available, suggesting that it will offer around 40 hours of main story content.
It has also been noted that it will offer 90 hours of content if players go for 100% completion.
Black Myth: Wukong’s launch is closer than ever, as the game is finally coming out in three days. Just yesterday, Game Science lifted its review embargo, leading to a solid Metacritic average for its debut title.
Ahead of the release, fans are still curious to learn more about Black Myth: Wukong. The team had yet to confirm how long Sun Wukong’s journey would last. Fortunately, the reviews seem to confirm that it lasts at least 40 hours.
Why it matters: The developer had previously commented that the team aimed for at least 15 hours of gameplay. Many found this length to be a bit too short and wondered whether the action RPG would justify its price.
Black Myth: Wukong Is A Solid Contender For GOTY
As shared on Reddit, a reviewer from Bilibili revealed new information that hadn’t been shared by other journalists.
While the main story can be completed in 35-40 hours, Black Myth: Wukong is said to offer several more hours of gameplay for those looking to play the whole game. Adding the side content, players can expect about 70 hours of gameplay.
Moreover, 100% completion is said to take as long as 90 hours. Therefore, it seems Game Science underestimated the length of its upcoming action RPG, and completionists will certainly get their money’s worth.
Black Myth: Wukong Is Expected To Be An Explosive Release On PC
Black Myth: Wukong became the best-selling title on Steam two weeks before its launch, so there is clearly a lot of excitement for this release. Fans will likely be glad to know that this title will offer a much more extensive experience than initially expected, increasing the buzz further.
According to reviews, Game Science offers a mostly linear experience, but there are still many secrets to be found. Some have yet to be discovered, so fans may have to wait for the community to get its hands on the game before 100% of the content is decrypted and made sense of.

The Nintendo Switch 2 seems to have been delayed from its early 2025 launch target.
The console is still expected to arrive before H2 2025.
An analyst states that it could be priced as high as $499, but the console will be weaker than the PS4 Pro.
After Nintendo Switch’s successful reign, it is finally time for the company to move on because the successor is on its way. The release date of Nintendo Switch 2 is always a debate because rumors have been unable to nail an exact window.
Previously thought to be released in early April, the console is now said to target a release window in H1 2025. An analyst has also predicted a much higher-than-expected price for the hardware.
Why it matters: Nintendo has always released affordable consoles since its hardware is never as competent as that of other gaming giants.
Nintendo Switch 2 Won’t Be More Powerful Than The PS4 Pro
Hideaki Yasuda from Toyo Securities predicts that the console will be released in the first half of 2025. He states that Nintendo is likely to launch its latest hardware between April and June.
The analyst also points to a price tag as high as $499. It’s worth noting that the original Nintendo Switch launched for $300. A cheaper version, the Nintendo Switch Lite, was later released for $200.
Therefore, a $499 launch price would be a steep hike for the successor. According to the analyst, the console is unlikely to outperform the PS4 Pro either, making the $499 price tag a bit of a surprise.
For reference, the PS5 launched starting at $400. Therefore, Nintendo may have a hard time justifying its price tag. Perhaps the gaming giant will compensate for the excessive price with exclusive games, but it will be up to the fans to decide if this will be enough.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to rely on Nvidia hardware. This could also be one reason for the price since Nvidia has become infamous for charging customers a premium for its graphics cards. Perhaps Nvidia did the same for this console.
Nonetheless, Nintendo should share official information about the hardware soon. Perhaps the gaming giant has an ace up its sleeve to justify the $499 price tag.

The director and producer of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 have recently created excitement for the title.
According to the director, it will be among the most loved and most popular games in history.
The producers think this JPRG will be exactly what fans want, as they have implemented feedback from the first two releases.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released in 2020 and received a pretty positive reception. Following this success, Square Enix launched yet another successful remake with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
This JRPG is currently the frontrunner for Game of The Year 2024, but Square Enix has even more ambitious plans for the finale. With a potential switch to Unreal Engine 5, the team is confident part 3 will be one of the industry’s biggest games.
Why it matters: The original Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most beloved games of all time. Square Enix hopes to recapture this success with the remakes.
Director Naoki Hamaguchi discussed the future of the trilogy during the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Summoning A Masterpiece presentation. His comment on the last part sparked joy among the fandom.
I am absolutely confident that the third game in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series will be one of the most loved, most popular games in the whole history of video games.
-Naoki Hamaguchi
The director was joined by Yoshinori Kitase, who has high expectations for this release.
He hopes that fans have high expectations for the JPRG too since the team is working hard on a worthwhile conclusion. Also, he reveals that the studio aims to produce an even biggerworld with the third entry.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Didn’t Sell Too Well Due To The PS5 Exclusivity
According to Yoshinori Kitase, the team has implemented the feedback from the first two games, and the upcoming part will be exactly what fans want. Hagamuchi, the director, then said that the team would exceed fan expectations.
Both the developer and the producer have contributed to further increasing the hype. They have both made claims that very few can make.
Final Fantasy 7 already has a rich legacy, so it’s encouraging to see Square Enix so hopeful about its grand send-off. Perhaps the team will even consider launching this title on multiple platforms.
With Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming out this year, the team still has a few more years to make these decisions. This year’s release seems to have suffered due to exclusivity, so Square Enix may not want to repeat such a deal again.
