I replayed the original Spyro games after many years, and they are still as iconic as ever.
They were some of the best platformer games of the late 90s and early 2000s that I grew up playing.
A new entry in the franchise has been long rumored but has yet to surface officially.
The era of classical games, when the industry was just solid creativity and away from political pushes and agendas, was a golden period for gaming. I am talking about the late 90s and early 2000s when innovation in gaming was at its peak.
Spyro The Dragon was one of my favorite game franchises. Launched in 1998 for the original PlayStation, Spyro is among the best platformers I’ve ever played. Playing the recently released Astro Bot sent a surge of nostalgia to me taking me back to Spyro.
There is something about Astro Bot that is very reminiscent of the classic platformer games that we used to have on the classic consoles. Although Spyro has had a bunch of games in the franchise, there were just 3 mainline entries.
Why it matters: Spyro The Dragon was THE game for me when I was growing up. It had almost everything for a perfect game: remarkable characters, decent storylines, and very fun gameplay.
Spyro games were just endless fun with iconic and fun characters
One of The Best Original PlayStation Games
There are a lot of elements that made Spyro so great. For starters, it was simply fun. And for that time, the visuals were really good considering how colorful and vibrant the world looked, especially in Spyro 3: Year of The Dragon.
Then comes the gameplay, which at times was so difficult for the young me back then. The overall gameplay was fun and easy to learn, but it was really difficult to master. There were so many elements, including charge, flight, glide, and many more.
The boss battles that we got at the end of Spyro 3 after collecting the required number of dragon eggs were scary. You had to dodge, there were several different environmental things to use, and then the long life bar of the bosses all contributed to great combat.
Spyro boasts a colorful, and full-of-life environment
Furthermore, there is the fact that how nicely the level designs were done. None of the games were too long to the point where it gets annoying. Plus, each world you travel to has something different to offer, making it even more interesting.
The soundscore was also so perfect. It contributed a lot to the overall experience. Just moving around randomly collecting the gems and exploring the world with those bright soundtracks was simply awesome.
Memorable And Masterfully Designed Characters
Spyro is one of the most memorable characters in the entire gaming industry, even over 20 years later. The young dragon also felt like the mascot for the first generation of PlayStation, making him so iconic.
Sparx The Dragonfly was always by your side and served as your life counter as well. Then there were the regular companions that you also played as at times. Hunter was one of my favorites, and so was Sheila the Kangaroo.
The Hunter parts had some cool elements. I especially enjoyed the skating rinks in Spyro 3, where you had to kill the lizards who had infested the areas. Other notable characters include Moneybags, Sgt. Bird, Bianca, and more.
Spyro had some very well-designed characters
One of the best parts about the characters was how well they were designed. Of course, the visuals at that time were far from what they are now. But, we can certainly appreciate the time spent on detailing all the characters so well.
Also, if you wish to play the game with a more modern touch, you can always play the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, which is available on all major platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.
A New Spyro Game Is Long Due
The timeline we have for a new Spyro game is quite weird. There have been multiple rumours on and off that a new Spyro title, reportedly the next mainline game, is in development. Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement.
It was recently revealed that Crash Bandicoot 5 was canceled, which was supposed to be a crossover between Spyro and Crash. This scares me for the future of Spyro as well. Since we haven’t heard anything officially, the sequel might’ve been internally canceled.
However, considering how iconic the franchise is and how loved Spyro is, it would be a mistake to end the franchise like this. So, I would love to see a Spyro 4 in the future with all the elements that made it so great, but of course, with the modern touch.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is known for creating atmospheric and challenging games, notably within the Soulsborne genre.
Hideo Kojima is known for creating story-focused, cinematic games like the Metal Gear Solid series and Death Stranding.
While both creators have changed their genres, Kojima’s ambition to expand gaming as an art form arguably makes him the stronger auteur.
Hidetaka Miyazaki and Hideo Kojima often come up in lively discussions about the greats of video game auteurship. Both have changed the way games are made, but who is the better creator?
Miyazaki is celebrated for his incredible atmosphere and challenging game design, while Kojima is known for leading the way in storytelling and cinematic experiences in games.
Each has developed a unique artistic identity that resonates deeply with players, but their approaches to game design couldn’t be more different.
Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games, especially in the Soulsborne series, have influenced a whole new genre of gaming, inspiring many titles that try to capture the challenging yet satisfying experiences of Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
In contrast, Hideo Kojima, famous for the Metal Gear Solid series, sees video games as a mix of movies and interactive experiences. His games focus on complex stories, exploring themes like war, politics, and human nature in a way that goes beyond typical game narratives.
Why it matters: Although Miyazaki and Kojima have different styles, looking at their careers helps us understand their influence on the gaming industry.
Miyazaki: The King of Atmosphere and Challenge
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Hidetaka Miyazaki, the Soulsborne genre creator, has changed how players engage with video games. His titles, including Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, are known for their tough difficulty, detailed world-building, and mysterious storytelling.
By not providing clear narrative direction, he encourages players to explore and interpret the game on their own. The dark atmospheres he creates have become iconic, inspiring many games to try and mimic the Soulslike format, but few manage to capture what truly makes Miyazaki’s work special.
His expertise in combining challenge and reward makes every victory feel satisfying, which players and reviewers often praise. Miyazaki’s games create a strong sense of immersion through environmental storytelling, minimal dialogue, and lore hidden in items and locations, making players piece together the story like a puzzle.
While this approach may be tough for casual gamers, it has built a loyal fanbase that enjoys the depth of his worlds.
His masterpiece, Elden Ring, took the Soulsborne formula to new heights by introducing an open world while keeping the challenging combat and dark atmosphere. Elden Ring won the Game of the Year award in 2022, further establishing Miyazaki as one of the most influential game designers today.
If Miyazaki is the king of atmosphere and challenge, Hideo Kojima is the master of storytelling and cinematic design. Best known for the Metal Gear Solid series and Death Stranding, Kojima approaches video games like a film director.
His games feature complex plots, deep themes, and moments that break the fourth wall, expanding what a video game can express.
Hideo Kojima’s storytelling is often praised for its depth. The Metal Gear Solid series is famous for its narratives that tackle issues like war, technology, and humanity. He also blurs the line between player and character, using unique gameplay mechanics to enhance his stories.
One of his greatest strengths as a creator is his ability to mix social commentary and philosophical ideas into his games while still keeping them entertaining.
Even after parting ways with Konami, Kojima continued to push the envelope with Death Stranding. His upcoming game, Death Stranding 2, is poised to be more thought-provoking than the first one.
Who is the Better Auteur?
Miyazaki vs Kojima is a battle between cryptic lore and meta storytelling, where only one will checkmate the other.
To decide who is the better auteur, we need to look at what each director offers. Miyazaki is great at building atmospheric worlds and difficult gameplay. His games demand patience and skill, giving players a rewarding experience that’s hard to beat.
On the other hand, Kojima is a great storyteller who often uses video games to explore complex ideas. His cinematic style has set him apart in the industry, with many viewing him more as a filmmaker than a typical game designer.
However, being an auteur isn’t just about making great games; it’s about expanding what games can do. Miyazaki has definitely shaped a genre and inspired many Soulslike games.
In contrast, Kojima’s impact reaches across various genres and has changed how we view storytelling in games. The Metal Gear Solid series was key in merging cinema with gaming, a trend that’s now more common in big-budget titles like Alan Wake 2.
Kojima’s willingness to try new ideas and take creative risks, even if they don’t always please everyone (like with Death Stranding), shows his desire to push video games beyond just entertainment.
On the other hand, while Miyazaki excels in his own style, he tends to stick to what he knows, focusing on refining his methods rather than reinventing them.
Both auteurs are absolute geniuses, but for me, it’s Hideo Kojima who edges out as the more significant figure in the gaming world. His talent for innovation, taking risks, and expanding video game storytelling gives him an advantage over Miyazaki, whose work, while consistent, is a bit more limited in scope.

Dragon Age: Veilguard had a lot of anticipation and hype before it was revealed to the world.
However, the hype died down as it failed to even reach the top 30 most wishlisted games on Steam a month before its release.
The game isn’t even in the top 100 best-selling titles on Steam, which indicates poor pre-orders.
The reason for that is fans started to think that the game was going ‘woke.’ Due to some recent reveals, the fandom seems to be even more concerned, which is why some reports are highlighting that its pre-orders are poor.
Also, just a month before release, it failed to even reach the top 30 most wishlisted games on Steam, which is concerning.
Why it matters: Recently, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been attracting a lot of controversy, and that is likely to hurt its sales despite the high anticipation.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Currently At 31st on The List of Most Wishlisted Games on Steam | Source: SteamDb
As you can see in the image above, it isn’t even in the top 30 list. Many other games with way less marketing are above on the list, which shows that the fandom isn’t really excited about this title anymore. Games that don’t even have a release date are even higher than this title.
For reference, Deadlock and Hollow Knight: Silksong are in second and third place, respectively, while Monster Hunter Wilds takes first place due to its massive fandom. The Veilguard still looks promising, as the recent previews have been really positive.
One of the previews even called it a GOTY contender despite all the criticism it has been facing. The other previews also highlight positive aspects of the game. However, despite that, it fails to reach the top 100 best-selling video games on Steam.
Despite So Much Criticism, The Veilguard Has Shown Promise
It is currently ranked a disappointing 118th among Steam best-sellers, just a month before its release. EA recently revealed that the demand for the game is pretty high, but these statistics say otherwise.
That said, there is still a month left before Dragon Age: The Veilguard is released, so hopefully, it will be ranked better than it is right now. The game is set to release on 31st October.

Sony is damaging the PlayStation legacy with misguided moves like the underwhelming PS5 Pro, viewed as a cash grab.
The Horizon Zero Dawn remaster is basically Sony’s desperate attempt to sell the PS5 Pro, which is already showing weak pre-order sales.
With gamers turning away from the PS5 Pro and a weak lineup of exclusive titles, Sony risks lagging behind competitors like Xbox, which is already planning for the next generation.
Sony is ruining the entire legacy of PlayStation consoles with these recent decisions. The PS5 Pro is officially one of the worst consoles ever and is basically a scam from Sony. Following the console’s announcement, the recent State of Play showcased a trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn’s remaster.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster feels pointless and, once again, follows Sony’s trend of remakes and remasters over sequels. I’m more than displeased with minimal upgrades and a quiet price hike for a 7-year-old game.
This leads me to believe Sony is just making blatant attempts to sell the PS5 Pro by pushing out remasters for games that aren’t old.
Why It Matters: Sony once valued the PlayStation brand and its customers, but that’s no longer the case. Useless remasters prove that Sony is just chasing money instead of a good customer experience, and it’s something they’ve done in the past with The Last Of Us Part 2 Remaster.
The PS5 Pro Has No Needs Nor Is It Worth The Upgrade
PlayStation 5 Pro Renders Alan Wake 2 At 864P Despite The Upgrade
While the PS4 Pro was a massive upgrade, making 4k gaming possible, the PS5 Pro is nowhere near that, and we’ve covered enough articles on why we think that the console is inherently bad.
Going back to the topic of Horizon Zero Dawn, the game is practically identical to the original one with one major difference: Aloy’s updated face, which is a downgrade. To be fair, the PS5 Pro doesn’t have much hardware power to offer to make a noticeable difference.
The only reason the console exists is because of GTA 6, which would still run the game at 30FPS, which is disappointing but, once again, not surprising. Outside of that, they currently don’t have any announced titles for which they will market the PS5 Pro.
Ironically, over 80% of gamers have refused to buy the PS5 Pro for GTA 6. Sure enough, a $700 gaming PC would run GTA 6 better.
Pre-orders for the console are also suffering, and not even scalpers are touching it, showing just how uninterested people are. I don’t see what Sony will do next to get people to buy the PS5 Pro; perhaps a God of War Remaster with an updated face for Kratos? Who knows?
Sony Doesn’t Have A Big Enough First-Party Catalog
PlayStation First-Party Games
Even if I ignore everything wrong with the PS5 Pro, Sony has nothing to showcase the console’s upgrade. Their first-party catalog lacks so much with the current generation compared to the last one.
Maybe it’s because they keep pushing out useless remasters and remakes instead of developing new games that are proven to take more time, as confirmed by the developers themselves.
Even going into the future, I can name Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yotei as titles that will truly showcase the PS5 Pro’s power, which won’t make a huge difference. Aside from that, Sony is just switching its attention towards live-service games, which sucks.
Instead of developing the PS5 Pro, Sony should’ve diverted its resources and attention towards building a first-party catalog or focusing on the next-gen consoles because I fear Xbox may leave it behind.
Microsoft was intelligent enough not to prolong this current generation and shift its focus towards the next-generation consoles, which will be released two years earlier than normal, giving them a headstart against PlayStation.

Superhero team-up games have struggled, with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Marvel’s Avengers failing due to poor execution and live-service models.
Guardians of the Galaxy succeeded by focusing on traditional gameplay and strong narrative.
A single-player approach with strategic character teamwork made the game thrive where others failed.
Everyone likes it when their favourite superheroes come together for a single purpose. Whether it’s the Avengers or the Justice League, these team-ups have found incredible success in all mediums, excluding gaming.
Despite being ambitious projects, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and Marvel’s Avengers failed terribly because of their poor execution. Is there too much going on with these team-up superheroes to be successful in a video game?
This claim is entirely false; however, Guardians of the Galaxy, another Marvel team-up, proves that Superhero team-up games can succeed in the video game realm, considering they aren’t overly complicated and focused more on traditional gameplay and storytelling.
Why It Matters: It’s hard for even a normal superhero-based game to succeed in a video game outside of the comics. Considering their larger scale, this makes team-up superhero games even tougher to be successful.
Where SSKTJL And Marvel’s Avengers Lacked
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Couldn’t Even Redeem Itself With Season Passes
It’s no surprise that comic book video gamessuffer from a lack of creativity, and it’s surprising because every source material is out there. I’m not a developer, but even I can tell that their main job is to pick the best one, and everything comes into place after all.
If there’s one thing that Marvel’s Avengers and SSKTJL have in common, it’s that they were both utterly disappointing and commercial failures. More than that, both were based on a live-service model, the latter of which did not need to be.
Being a live-service model itself is pretty much a gamble. The lack of content can cause a game to die before it even has a chance to succeed. Spending $70 for a base AAA game and all these microtransactions can be overwhelming, doubled by the fact that these games were also underwhelming in almost every other department.
Moreover, these games are supposed to be much larger, especially when they deal with some of the biggest icons in fiction. All characters, whether in Marvel’s Avengers or SSKTJL, lacked depth in their characters, mostly during combat.
SSKTJL is even worse, and playing it made me feel better about Marvel’s Avengers. Every character is just a reskin, and the game plays out almost exactly the same since it is more of a looter shooter.
Nothing about these games made me feel like I was playing as a superhero. Even while playing the Arkham series as Batman, a human dressed in a bat costume, I felt much more powerful than Thor from Marvel’s Avengers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Masters: What SSKTJL and Marvel’s Avengers Couldn’t
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Is One Of The Best Superhero Games
I don’t see how developers justify playing safe with a game and not innovating much when they base it on a live service model and load it with many microtransaction elements.
These games aren’t even good enough to justify all of this bloat and the higher price tag that AAA games have nowadays. Eidos Montreal’s Guardians of the Galaxy does what other team-up superhero games failed to do. It picks up the best source material from comics and inspiration from Gunn’s movies.
The game is also strictly single-player, aiming to deliver a great narrative and build the story within its confined wall rather than having too much going on. The developers avoided their past mistakes with Marvel’s Avengers, which involved too much going on at once and an inability to focus on a single thing.
This is why Star-Lord is the only playable character out of the Guardians. As Star-Lord, players rely on teamwork to beat the game and can command each team member with unique abilities that complement each other.
Being a team leader, Star-Lord’s decisions impact the game’s branching storyline and the team’s performance immensely. As a result, each member’s powers truly shine, and players feel as if they’re part of a team.
Superhero games aren’t going away anytime soon, and we’ll probably get a Justice League or Avengers game soon enough. Developers should really take inspiration from Eidos Montreal’s execution of the game and how they made each character, whether an NPC, important to the main storyline while not missing out on much of them.

PS5 Pro sales in both the UK and the US seem to be suffering due to the high price tag.
The Pro console costs $700 for digital only, making it a poor value for money.
The PS5 Pro is still available to pre-order on PlayStation Direct, which is unusual for a new release.
PlayStation 5 Pro has been a topic of controversy ever since it was announced. The massive $700 price for an incremental upgrade hasn’t sat well with the fans. This shows from sales as the PS5 Pro still hasn’t managed to sell out in either the UK or the US.
Why it matters: Consoles are supposed to deliver the best value for gaming. However, owing to the PS5 Pro’s high price it isn’t the best value for money.
PS5 Pro is still available to pre-order on PlayStation Direct
Usually, when a new Sony console launches, sales are so high that it sells out quickly. But that doesn’t seem to be the case for the PS5 Pro, as it can still be pre-ordered on the PlayStation Direct site.
What makes the situation even more strange is that scalpers aren’t even going after the PS5 Pro. When the base version launched, it retailed for scalped prices for a very long time. However, part of the reason was the ongoing pandemic as well.
PS5 Pro has been under fire for inflated price tag
But, overall, the PS5 Pro doesn’t seem to be attracting too much of an audience. This makes sense too, considering it isn’t a huge upgrade over the regular one. It does have a beefed-up GPU, but testing has proved that performance isn’t too different from the earlier model.
So, the PS5 Pro makes more sense for people who are new to the console. The upgrade path isn’t too suitable as you’d be getting a mostly similar console for a lot more price. Granted the 2TB SSD on the Pro is a nice upgrade.
If this continues and the sales don’t pick off, this could be a worrying sign for Sony. But it would be better for the consumers as this means we can expect nice discounts and availability of the Pro console around the holiday period.

Despite paying over $2500 for a booth at TGS, only four people in Japan were playing Dustborn on Steam.
The game’s booth at TGS was mostly empty.
The minimal interest in Dustborn represents a notable financial loss for Red Thread Games or the Norwegian government.
Dustborn, the story-driven action-adventure game for the “modern audience”, failed to attract any audience at all at the 2024 Tokyo Game Show. Even after spending around $2500 for a booth at the event, the game only attracted four players on Steam in Japan soon after.
Why it matters: Despite heavy promotion and substantial investment from the Norwegian government, the game has failed to resonate with its intended audience.
Dustborn might be a bigger video game flop than Concord.
Even with a big event like this attracting over 243,000 attendees, Dustborn’s performance was disappointing, to put it mildly. A tweet from StutteringCraig on the SideScroller Podcast revealed that only four people in Japan were playing the game on Steam after its appearance at TGS.
A photo of the Dustborn’s booth shows three empty seats meant for attendees to try the game, but no one seems interested. This image represents Dustborn’s overall reception—an uninspired project that hasn’t caught the attention of gamers.
While Red Thread Games promotes Dustborn as a “revolutionary” narrative-driven action-adventure, the lack of interest at such a major gaming event tells a different story.
The game’s failure to attract even a few players goes on to show a growing gap between the developers and the gaming community.
For clarity, 385,000 Japanese Yen translates to roughly $2700.
As of writing, only 17 players are active in the game, which is surprisingly low given the budget that was allocated for the development. With a peak of just 83 players at one time, it’s apparent that Dustborn hasn’t met the hype created by its marketing.
There have even been times when the number of players dropped to zero. For a game that received strong promotion and public funding, these numbers paint a dire picture.
It raises the question: how long will Red Thread Games keep investing in a project that the gaming community has largely ignored?
With a booth cost of over $2500, this outcome represents a notable financial loss. However, it’s still unknown whether the Norwegian taxpayer money also funded this booth.

This year, Xbox held an amazing showcase, and we have been hearing good things about it.
However, it seems that internally, things aren’t as good; a reliable insider reveals that the gaming giant is a complete mess right now.
He said that its priorities aren’t straight and second guesses many things, which is why it is a complete disaster.
The gaming giant also seems to be releasing its next-gen console in 2026, so if GTA 6 were to be delayed, it would hugely benefit from that. That said, despite that, an insider has claimed that Xbox is such a mess right now due to various reasons.
Why it matters: Xbox right now is focusing more on its subscription service, but it isn’t totally abandoning the console market.
Jason Schreier discussed many different topics during the live streaming of the Spawncast on YouTube. When discussing Xbox’s presence during TGS, he said the gaming giant is a complete mess right now, and its priorities aren’t straight.
Xbox is such a mess right now, I feel like their plan is changing every single year. They’re just a disaster over there, it’s really sad.
-Jason Scheier
Scheier is one of the most reliable insiders right now, and fans believe him to the fullest. So, his remarks hold a lot of value. He thinks that the tech giant changes plans every single as right now, it is talking about teasing a handheld over and over again.
However, he isn’t sure if it will do so. That is because a year ago, the giant was talking about how Indiana Jones would never come to PlayStation. So, his main point is that Xbox changes its mind every month, which is concerning.
Right Now, Xbox’s Main Focus is to Increase The Number of Game Pass Users
Such a massive company shouldn’t be second-guessing its actions. He also said that it is a disaster right now, which can really sum up the whole situation. As of now, it is unlikely that Microsoft will make any changes regarding the handheld as Xbox seems to be really involved in it.

AMD’s next-generation 3D V-Cache Ryzen 7 9800x3D is going to launch next month. The rumors come from Ciphell Forums, which tell us that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D 3D V-Cache CPU will launch in late October or early November. The other high-performance CPUs, like the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and the Ryzen 9 9900X3D, will launch early next year.
When it was introduced some time ago, the Ryzen 7000X3D was unrivaled in terms of gaming. It was unmatched by both the AMD Ryzen 7000 and the finest Intel processors; the same was true when the AMD 5000X3D was introduced years earlier.
Because of this, even though the AMD 9000 didn’t quite take off, the AMD 9000X3D will be able to correct AMD’s errors and please PC gamers once more.
We now have new details regarding the matter, despite rumors a month ago that they would be postponed until CES 2025. The leaks indicate that at least one of the CPUs will launch this year, and the other two models are expected to launch in 2025.
Should everything proceed as planned, the 8-core machines with X3D will be the greatest for gaming, with the remaining models providing very good performance but catering to individuals who also want to use them for work. As AMD has done for multiple generations, the Ryzen 9900X3D and Ryzen 9950X3D will also continue to offer 12 and 16 cores, respectively.
Another fact about the Ryzen 9800x3D is that it will not be overclocked. So, its performance will not increase, but that should not be a problem as it already performs much better than most CPUs.

Horizon Online is reportedly the next big release from Guerrilla Games.
The team is unlikely to release Horizon 3 anytime soon due to the focus on GAAS (games as a service).
PlayStation needs this online spin-off to be a major hit after recent failures like Concord.
Among these is Horizon Online, a live-service project built on the foundations of this IP’s core gameplay. A new report outlines that this is Guerrilla Games’ next major release.
Why it matters: PlayStation’s current live-service focus has not yielded results as great as the company had wanted. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the biggest IPs make the switch to live service.
This information comes from the very reliable Jason Schrier, who states that Horizon Online is almost certainly set to be the team’s next big release.
He clarified that the sequel to Horizon Forbidden West is not coming next, which makes sense considering the timeline of PlayStation’s plans. The current live-service roadmap was established during Jim Ryan’s era ahead of the PS5’s release.
As such, Guerrilla Games has already spent multiple years on the project. On the other hand, Horizon 3 is currently in pre-production, and Jason Schreier estimates that it won’t be arriving for several more years.
Looking at recent AAA release schedules, it might not be far-fetched to expect Horizon 3 as a PS6 launch title a few years later.
Horizon Online is their next product, not the third single-player game.
-Jason Schreier
Given the long gap between the next two releases, this online project has much riding on it.
The popular journalist also reiterated that PlayStation’s live-service push was no joke. For better or for worse, this focus is now manifesting into back-to-back releases that carry their own set of risks.
Horizon Forbidden West Is Nearly Three Years Old Already
Previous leaks have shown that Horizon Online will come with a very different art style. The game could be banking on the popularity of titles like Fortnite, using a similar aesthetic to appeal to a wider audience.
However, games like Concord ended up failing due to their reliance on outdated trends. Therefore, Guerrilla Games must ensure it does not follow suit too closely and adapts to the modern gaming industry.

Death Stranding 2 is still targeting a 2025 release window.
According to the director, this game will be more bizarre than its predecessor.
Fans should expect more action, mysteries, and the classic Hideo Kojima-style plot points as part of this bizarre nature.
Death Stranding 2 has already received plenty of details this year. The game is said to be more violent, have a unique photo mode, and more. However, fans are still curious to learn more.
Additional information about the upcoming entry was also presented at the Tokyo Game Show 2025. According to the presentation, this game will be even more bizarre than its predecessor.
Why it matters: Metal Gear Solid is already famous for its outlandish nature. Whether it be the subtle themes, comedic elements, or the gameplay itself, Hideo Kojima’s work always stands out.
