The MSI MAG B850M Mortar WiFi is an excellent mATX option to run the latest AMD Ryzen 9000 chips, offering a decent design plus excellent I/O and performance at a fair price. 5G LAN, WiFi 7, 20G USB, and dual PCIe Gen 5 M.2 slots are some of its highlights, and we can't get enough of the EZ-DIY features either.

The ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero is one of the most premium ($700) offerings for AMD's most premium chipset. It offers a fresh, all-black design highlighted by the large Polymo Lighting II array, excellent VRMs, five M.2 slots, and 20 USB ports. Dual LAN ports are also on offer, but we would've preferred a singular 10G port.

The ASRock Phantom Gaming X870E Nova WiFi is a remarkable motherboard for all Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series CPUs. It has an impressive 20+2+1-phase VRM design with 110A Dr.MOS SPS. The motherboard has a total of five M.2 slots, with the top one being Gen5. There is also an exceptionally extensive selection of USB ports, including USB4 and much more. As expected, the X870E Nova WiFi packs a solid punch when it comes to both synthetic and gaming benchmarks, and also has very optimal VRM thermals, making it a good choice for overclocking.

The ASRock B850M Steel Legend WiFi is a solid MicroATX motherboard for $179, offering good features like PCIe Gen5, WiFi 7, and plenty of USB ports. It supports AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 CPUs and performs well in gaming. While its VRM cooling isn’t great for heavy overclocking, it’s a great pick for budget-friendly, compact builds, especially if you like its sleek white design.
