Intel B560 was a budget chipset for Intel’s 10th and 11th generation processor, also called Rocket Lake. In contrast, Intel B660 is a budget line chipset for Intel’s 12th-generation Alder Lake CPUs. Intel B560 supports the LGA1200 socket, whereas the B660 supports the LGA1700 socket. Both chipsets only support Memory Overclocking, not CPU OC. Intel B560 supports PCIe 3.0 only in chipset compatibility, whereas Intel B660 supports PCIe 3.0 and PCIe 4.0. Intel B660 also has 14 PCIe Lanes compared to Intel B560 having 12 Lanes.
The B560 chipset supports DDR4 memory. On the other hand, the B660 chipset supports DDR4 and DDR5 memory. Intel B560 has support for six SATA 3.0/6Gb/s ports, whereas B660 has support for four SATA 3.0/6Gb/s ports. Also, B560 doesn’t have support for RAID compared to the B660.
