- Crimson Desert is estimated to have generated $427 million in revenue after launch.
- This milestone puts the game ahead of titles like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
- EA Sports FC 27 leads the 2026 charts so far, with over $700 million in revenue already.
Following a rocky start, Crimson Desert has proven to be a major hit for Pearl Abyss. The open-world title previously joined 2026’s top 3 games by revenue, and although it has slipped to the 4th spot now, the RPG remains as impressive as ever.
In fact, a new analysis reveals that it has generated close to $500 million in revenue.
Why it matters: Many doubted Crimson Desert ahead of its release due to the sheer anticipation the game created. The RPG has now proven all doubters wrong.

According to Alinea Analytics, the game has generated around $427 million so far. It is said that the game beat major releases, like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and NBA 2K27, to reach this milestone.
This is nothing short of phenomenal for a brand new IP that launched to so much doubt. Of course, the game has managed to perform so well due to Pearl Abyss’ ability to constantly address player feedback.
The team has rapidly updated the RPG since its release, and although Crimson Desert might not match up to FC 27’s incredible $714 million revenue, the title has firmly established itself as one of 2026’s biggest releases.

Of course, by the end of 2026, GTA 6 should dominate these charts. Expected to easily generate over $1 billion in revenue, the game will leave everything else in the dust later this year.
Still, Crimson Desert remains impressive, especially for a new IP in today’s competitive landscape.
