Hideo Kojima confirms he was approached multiple times to bring Death Stranding to the big screen.
The director refused these offers since he did not want a cinematic experience that was all about explosions and action.
He is now working on a different type of project with A24.
Hideo Kojima’s latest series is gearing up for a grand return next year. Death Stranding 2 marks the first current-gen entry for the franchise, bringing it to life with new technology and hardware.
At the same, the series is being expanded through ports of the original game and a recently announced film adaptation. The latter is being worked on by A24, but Hideo Kojima has recently revealed that he also received offers for an adaptation in the past.
Why it matters: The director’s games have always had many film-like qualities. Therefore, the director knew exactly what he wanted for this adaptation.
The Cinematic Project Currently Does Not Have A Release Date
Speaking to Famitsu, the famous game director revealed that he collaborated with A24 since his goal was never to make a big-budget blockbuster film.
Hideo Kojima wanted to head in a different direction. He confirmed that other studios wanted to make a typical action film with plenty of explosions and big moments, but this would go against the type of experience that Death Stranding is known for.
While the director did not say much about A24’s current approach, fans can expect something as unique as the game itself. It is also important to note that Hideo Kojima is not the director of this adaptation.
Instead, he will guide the producer on this film’s plot and other important details.
I want to make a slightly different kind of film with A24.
-Hideo Kojima
For the unaware, A24 is the same company behind films like Everything Everywhere All At Once and Uncut Gems. The company has already made a name for itself thanks to recent hits.
According to Hideo Kojima, A24 is unique, and nobody has taken a similar approach to cinema. This is exactly why he entrusted this company with the Death Stranding adaptation.
The adaptation currently has no release date, but it is expected to be one piece of a bigger puzzle. This first release could lead to a series of other productions as part of the larger Death Stranding cinematic universe.

Ubisoft recently revealed that Star Wars Outlaws failed to meet the sales expectations.
Due to that, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was delayed to offer fans an even better experience.
However, the CEO has blamed gamers by saying they have extraordinary expectations for video games.
You might be hearing a lot about Ubisoft lately, and that isn’t going to stop anytime soon. The company right now is a complete mess, and due to that, there is an internal investigation going on.
Why it matters: It was pretty much a given that Star Wars Outlaws wouldn’t sell despite being a major game.
The Recent Star Wars Game Failed To Meet Sales And Fans’ Expectations
Ubisoft recently commented that the sales of its recent Star Wars game were below expectations, which has caused turmoil for the gaming giant. However, instead of taking responsibility for the damages, the CEO seems to have blamed the fandom.
Speaking on an investor call recently Yves Guillemot said that delivering a solid quality isn’t enough for the gamers anymore. He thinks that gamers have extraordinary expectations that are hard to meet now.
In today’s challenging market and with gamers expecting extraordinary experiences, delivering solid quality is no longer enough.
-Yves Guillemot
He seems to be blaming the fandom for Star Wars Outlaw’s failure. Many criticized the game even before launch, and those hints were enough to determine that it wasn’t going to sell well.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Was Delayed Due To The Poor Launch of Star Wars Outlaws
Also, Ubisoft delayed Assassin’s Creed Shadows to polish it further as it wanted to meet the gamer’s extraordinary expectations. The CEO did say that they must strive for excellence in all aspects of their work.
So, it seems like there will be improvements done on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game.
However, the game’s main controversy still revolves around Yasuke, and 3 months is just not enough time to completely replace the protagonist unless a miracle happens.
Even though it might seem like Guillemot is blaming gamers for its recent game’s soft sales, he has a point that many have unrealistic expectations nowadays, which is almost impossible to meet.

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is set for a 2024 release, featuring a total cache of 104MB, positioning it as a top choice for gamers.
AMD is pivoting its strategy to better target the gaming community, especially following the underwhelming launch of the Ryzen 9000 series.
AMD has entered a marketing agreement to promote the Ryzen 7 9800X3D alongside COD: Black Ops 6.
The “Ultimate Processor for Elite Gaming” and “designed for increased frequencies” are the titles given to the upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor from AMD.
New information about the upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU was recently leaked in a video from leaker Moore’s Law is Dead. The documents he saw appear to name this chip as a “2024 product.
Why it matters: The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is significant because its focus on enhanced gaming performance allowing AMD to better compete in the gaming market.
Image Via: Moore’s Law is Dead
It is worth noting that the information regarding the launch of Ryzen 9 9900X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D processors was not mentioned. As a result, we anticipate the more expensive 9900X3D and 9950X3D will be revealed at CES 2025.
Regarding the 9800X3D, it is described as “designed for increased frequencies” and has 104MB of total cache, which is consistent with earlier reports. According to MLID, AMD will also market the 9800X3D as the best X3D processor for gamers.
Furthermore, AMD is also expected to have signed a marketing agreement referencing the Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with COD: Black Ops 6, along with the reference to the “RX 7000” graphics as “the perfect bundle” with Zen 5 X3D chips.
After the less-than-successful launch of the Ryzen 9000 series based on Zen 5, the Red team is now fully focused on targeting the gaming community. As a result, AMD is planning to launch its X3D options sooner rather than later.
The launch of the new Zen 5 based X3D chips will also help lower the price of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor. Which is currently being sold at a higher margin due to increased demand among gamers.

Ubisoft has pushed back the woke narrative, saying the company makes games for everyone.
The French gaming giant also admitted its mistakes with Star Wars Outlaws.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has also been delayed in polishing the game further.
Following that, the studio’s stock price has been consistently falling, and the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows has only made it worse. With everything going downhill, the company recently called an investor meeting and updated its financial targets for this fiscal year.
But, the most interesting tidbit from this conference call was Ubisoft saying that it doesn’t aim to push any specific agenda in video games.
Why It Matters: Many believe that the reason for Ubisoft’s downfall is “going woke,” and seeing the company address such a dense narrative showcases how desperately it wants Assassin’s Creed Shadows to be a success following the failure of Outlaws.
Ubisoft Has Said It Isn’t Trying To Push Any Agenda With Assassin’s Creed Shadows
During the meeting, Ubisoft rather efficiently acknowledged that it has been making games that are “woke.” In what seems like a neutral statement, the developer assured fans that it is an entertainment-first company and doesn’t want to push any specific narrative besides creating enjoyable games.
our goal is not to push any specific agenda. We remain committed to creating games…that everyone can enjoy.
-Ubisoft
The company’s stock is currently at an all-time 10-year low, and its saving grace for 2024, Star Wars: Outlaws, isn’t selling too hot right now. This whole not pushing a specific agenda thing is most likely due to the controversies surrounding Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Without much evidence of Yasuke’s portrayal as a samurai, Ubisoft pushed his role into the game so the fandom is unlikely to buy whatever the CEO is trying to say.
For now, the developer has delayed the title, but it is unlikely to erase Yasuke’s role completely.
Star Wars Outlaws’ Failure Has Put Ubisoft In A Tough Spot
With rumors about the company being sold in the air and its potential savior getting delayed till next year, no one knows what the future holds for Ubisoft. Will Assassin’s Creed Shadows be a mega-hit when it launches on February 14, 2025? Only time can tell.

The God of War: Ragnarok PC port has some bugs that make the PS5 version look better than PC.
The visual fidelity at 4K native resolution on PS5 is better than that on a PC with RTX 4090.
This is due to some bugs and an issue with the Tessellation that leads to worse graphics in certain areas.
God of War: Ragnarok is the latest PlayStation port on PC. This is an excellent port that performs great on most modern GPUs. However, a couple of bugs make the PS5 version of the game look better than a PC using the RTX 4090.
Why it matters: The visual fidelity at 4K native for the PS5 is the same as that of an RTX 4090 PC. But, some missing effects, work, details, and bugs with the Tessellation are leading to less impressive visuals in certain areas of the game.
Digital Foundry has released a new comparison video comparing the PC port to the PS5 version. The PS5’s quality mode is basically 4K at Ultra settings on a PC. So, in theory, the quality should be very similar, but unfortunately, it isn’t.
While the PC version looks great in most areas, in certain places, it has Tessellation bugs, making the quality look significantly worse than the PS5’s quality mode. For context, there is a dream sequence in the game where you go through a forest. The area has a lot more detail on the PS5 compared to the PC.
God of War Ragnarok PC port suffers from a lack of visual features on PC and multiple bugs
Furthermore, there are issues with some specific areas, too. In the realm travel area, the PC version faces some stutters due to bugs. Also, the animations of the portal that lets you travel through the realm look jittery on PC.
This is rather strange as PC ports usually offer much better quality than the PS5. The first God of War game, too, looked a lot better on the PC.
The bugs can be ironed out with software updates, but the smoothness it offers is next to none. For most recommended GPUs, you are going to have a very smooth experience. DF has even claimed it is one of the smoothest PC ports they’ve seen so far.

PlayStation is hiring more employees for its inclusivity push, with the latest job ad being for a DE&I specialist.
The gaming giant wants to embed diversity and inclusivity into its first-party studios.
It will also continue to work with third parties amid this focus.
The subject of inclusivity and diversity is a controversial one in the gaming industry. With the likes of Sweet Baby becoming quite prevalent and major publishers going all-in on DE&I (diversity, equity, and inclusivity), many fans have spoken out against this focus.
The likes of Square Enix have even stepped away from this push recently, but it seems PlayStation is not following suit. As per a new job listing, the gaming giant is actually looking to increase its focus on DE&I.
Why it matters: A game like Concord was criticized for its character designs. The bland characters drew criticism from nearly everyone, with many believing that they ended up as bland due to Firewalk needlessly catering to everyone.
PlayStation Is Hiring A DE&I Specialist For Its First-Party Teams
According to a new job listing, PlayStation intends to facilitate additional diversity and inclusivity. This role is specifically for first-party teams, so fans should expect these elements to be more prevalent in games from internal studios moving forward.
It is also important to note that the new employee will report directly to the DE&I Manager at PlayStation Studios. Looking at the responsibilities, it’s clear that the gaming giant wants inclusivity to become a core part of the company.
Embed DE&I in talent processes for PSS (PlayStation Studios).
The new employee will also be responsible for partnering with global DE&I and social justice teams as part of these efforts. This may lead to closer relationships between PlayStation and companies like Sweet Baby Inc.
The Gaming Giant’s First-Party Teams Already Work Closely With Sweet Baby Inc.
What’s interesting is that PlayStation’s games already have plenty of inclusivity. The likes of God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, and more were released after consultation with Sweet Baby Inc.
Going by the job listing, these instances will only become more common for the gaming giant.
With the biggest forces in the industry investing heavily in DE&I, other gaming companies might have no choice but to follow suit.
A studio like Game Science has already been criticized for a supposed lack of diversity in Black Myth: Wukong, setting a dangerous precedent for those who choose to go against the norm. Anyhow, it will be interesting to see how this focus shapes the industry moving forward.

Valve’s Deadlock still has over 100K players, even in the Alpha playtest.
The game’s recent patch notes reveal that it has added a really innovative anti-cheat detection system.
As soon as a cheater is detected, the opponents will get to choose between banning them or turning them into a frog, which is hilarious.
Valve is single-handedly carrying the PC gaming, and that is not a stretch. This company has provided fans with great games and the best launcher to ever exist, Steam. That said, recently, it started working on a Hero Shooter game, Deadlock.
As expected, the game was flooded by thousands of players even during the playtest. It is still in the Alpha playtest and has over 118k players online. Players are having a blast in-game, especially due to the feature that lets them turn cheaters into frogs by voting.
Why it matters: In multiplayer games, the main issue that still arises revolves around the cheaters. Valve has taken a really good approach to deal with them this time.
Deadlock Recent Patch Notes Adds A Really Funny An Iconic Feature To Punish Hackers
The official patch notes revealed that you can now turn cheaters into frogs, which is a really cool and innovative feature. Valve has added an anti-cheat detection system but with a twist. Whenever a user is detected cheating, opponents will be given the courtesy of banning the cheater or turning them into a frog.
the opponents will be given a choice between banning the user immediately and ending the match or turning the cheater into a frog for the rest of the game.
-Patch Notes
Do note that if you ban the cheater it will immediately end the match; however, if you turn them into a frog then you can troll them until the match ends. Many users are sharing such encounters on social media platforms and it seems like they are having fun.
The Game Has Already Attracted Thousands of Players In Alpha Playtest
Fans are now claiming that Valve should also add this option in the CS2, but instead of the frog, there should be something else. The idea of turning a cheater into a frog instead of banning them is hilarious.
This feature is arguably going to become insanely famous among the fans and is likely to attract even more players to this game. Deadlock isn’t completely out, as Valve has yet to even announce its release date.
Given how popular it has become already, the game’s success is set in stone now. We hope to see more innovative and funny features in this game.

PlayStation 5 Pro hasn’t met with great reception following its official announcement.
However, Digital Foundry tech experts believe the PlayStation 5 Pro launch will be good for everyone in the long run.
It will significantly benefit the PlayStation 6 backward compatibility like the last gen did for the current base model.
After months of rumours and leaks, the PlayStation 5 Pro was finally announced recently. The console is said to be 45% faster than the base model and will be available in November for $700, making it the most expensive PlayStation console.
Ever since its announcement, fans have been furious about the upcoming console. Recent leaks have suggested that it still won’t be able to run many games at 60 FPS.
While many fans believe that upgrading is pointless, tech experts believe that the release of the PS5 Pro would greatly benefit PlayStation 6’s backward compatibility.
Why it matters: A similar has been done in the past with the launch of the PlayStation 4 Pro. So, a similar trend could be seen again.
Just recently, DF Clips released a new video from their podcast, discussing the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro.
The tech experts at the Digital Foundry have discussed how the launch of PlayStation 5 Pro is good for everyone in the long run. It has been stated that the PlayStation 6 will benefit greatly from the launch of PS5 Pro.
when PlayStation 6 rolls up you know those games could have patches retroactively active that unlock to 60 frames per second
-DF Tech Experts
The current base model benefited greatly from the launch of PlayStation 4 Pro, which ran previous-gen games much better on the base model. Not only did it run them better, but it also enhanced them.
Tech experts have also stated that games that run 30 FPS on the PlayStation 5 Pro would still look better than the base model, and those games will likely be patched to 60 FPS in the next generation.
PS5 Pro Coming In The First Week of November
Games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone, which struggled to run smoother on PlayStation 4 Pro and had shaky experiences, offered much smoother experiences on the current-gen base model. Therefore, something similar could be done with the PlayStation 6.
While not much is known about the PlayStation 6 yet, it is likely in development. A recent report has suggested that AMD has secured a deal with Sony to design the SOC for the device. Although the console is years away, it’s likely targeting a 2028 release date.

Insomniac Games aims to achieve the full potential of the PS5 Pro with their upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine.
All their existing and future games will utilize a new Performance Pro mode, unlocking 4K at 60 FPS with ray-tracing.
The company is working on ways to leverage the PS5 Pro to its fullest for existing and future titles.
Insomniac announced Marvel’s Wolverine back in 2021. Despite a couple of minute details, the company has been rather quiet about the game ever since. However, they’ve finally revealed another detail and claimed that Marvel’s Wolverine will push PS5 Pro to its limits.
Why it matters: Insomniac has been taking the PS5 Pro very seriously ever since its announcement. All their recent launches and future ones will be enhanced for the Pro console and utilize all its potential.
Insomniac aims to push PS5 Pro to its limits with Marvel’s Wolverine
In a PlayStation Blog post where developers share how they’ve enhanced their games for PS5 Pro, Insomniac went into detail about their existing and upcoming titles, especially Marvel’s Wolverine.
Insomniac has released four games for the PS5 so far: Marvel’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2, and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. All these games will have a new Performance Pro mode designed especially for the PS5 Pro.
The mode combines the already present fidelity mode, which targets a 4K resolution, and performance mode, which targets 60 FPS, with ray-tracing.
All existing and future Insomniac games will use Performance Pro mode on PS5 Pro
We’re excited to spend even more time finding new ways we can leverage PS5 Pro on games like Marvel’s Wolverine.
In addition, the statement claims that Insomniac is spending a lot of time finding ways to leverage the PS5 Pro for the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine. This hints that the game will also utilize the Performance Pro mode, which targets 4K at 60 FPS with RT.
Early testing has proved that while PS5 Pro is significantly more powerful than the base version, the performance isn’t too distant. However, the Pro has PSSR upscaling at its sleeve, which could be a huge contribution to the performance leap.
Nonetheless, Insomniac has been brilliant with their games on the base PS5 as well. All their games have had dedicated performance and fidelity modes. But the smoother FPS with even higher fidelity would just be the cherry on top.

Space Marine 2 is the most-played Warhammer title on Steam.
The reason for its success is that it captures the essence of old-school gaming beautifully.
Regardless of such success, in just 18 days, the game has lost over 70% of its player base.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is one of the biggest releases this year. While there have been problems this year, there were some great releases. With Space Marine 2 being the most-played Warhammer title on Steam and dominating the sales charts, it seems like the hype around it is dying.
This game provides a great co-op experience, but despite that, the hype is dying as in just 18 days, it has lost over 70% of the player base on Steam.
Why it matters: It is normal for a single-player game to lose its player base quickly, but games featuring co-op can preserve their player base.
Space Marine 2 Player Count Seems To Have Dropped A Lot In Less Than A Month | Source: SteamDB
This game, after launch, quickly sold over 2 million copies, which is insane considering no previous title in the franchise had such anticipation and hype behind it. Featuring great combat and story, this Warhammer title attracted many new payers to the title who are eager to learn about the ‘Warhammer Lore.’
That said, it is a little sad to see this game losing over 70% of its player base in less than a month. It even features co-op, but without more story content, it might not have been worth playing for many players. At the time of writing, there are only a few over 38K players playing this game.
That said, the developer has already confirmed plans for the DLC and even a sequel. So, fans should look forward to more quality content.
A DLC Can Spike The Player Charts of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Once Again
Space Marine 2 is a throwback to the simple gaming era, and that is exactly why it is so good. Even the CEO claimed to have achieved the old-school gaming, and it seemed to have succeeded in doing so.
We hope the game’s future content manages to attract even bigger fandom and excite them for future Warhammer titles. As of now, there’s no confirmation about when new content will be released, but given the success, an update would not be too far away.

What We Recommend
RTX 4070 Ti: In our testing, the RTX 4070 Ti absolutely demolished the RTX 3070 Ti, with improvements in performance, power consumption, and temperatures. However, the price of this card sticks out as a huge sore spot if we were to recommend it.
RTX 3070 Ti: Though it lost in all of our comparison points, the RTX 3070 Ti has its merits. It has good performance, better than an RTX 2080 while having a more modest price tag, which is something you can get a better deal on if you buy this card used.
Having talked about the RTX 4070 Ti vs RTX 3070 Ti in detail, we would recommend the RTX 4070 Ti is better suited for premium builds, whereas the RTX 3070 Ti is more of a budget card.
