The Witcher Season 4 Will Kill Off More Key Characters Than the Books

Story Highlight
  • The upcoming The Witcher season 4 will reportedly be deadly for key characters.
  • It will feature more deaths of primary characters than in the books, marking a shift.
  • Earlier, the show was criticized for deviating too much from the source material.

The Witcher TV show from Netflix has always been a mixed bag. Its first season brought in record viewership, with fans praising Henry Cavill for his portrayal of Geralt. However, in season 4, not only was Henry removed, but another thing could prove controversial.

A new report has emerged a month before the season premiere, revealing that The Witcher season 4 will kill off more key characters than the books. This is another deviation from the source material for which the show is always criticized.

Why it matters: The upcoming season has been under scrutiny for replacing Henry Cavill with Liam Hemsworth, and now, even more changes from the books will likely spark a more mixed reaction towards the show.

The Witcher season 4 will feature more key deaths compared to the books

According to a report by Redanian Intelligence, The Witcher season 4 is going to be rather deadly. It will kill off characters that survive in the books. The following parts of this article contain spoilers, so beware of that

Based on the books, there are already numerous deaths; however, there will also be some other major ones. For starters, Yennifer will recruit a team of Vesemir, Lambert, and Coen to take on Vilgafortz, but Vesemir will die confronting him.

The Witcher
The show is often criticized for changing too much stuff from the books

In addition, two scoreceresses of the Lodge, Kiera Metz and Margrita, will also bite the dust despite surviving the events of the books. So, these are some major deviations from books, as these characters play bigger roles later on.

Henry Cavill was removed from The Witcher because he wanted to keep things close to the source material. This was also what fans wanted, as the latter seasons changed too much, but it seems the writers are adamant about changing more stuff.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Gets Multiplayer PvP Mod with 30 Player Support And Limited Co-op

Story Highlight
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong now has a multiplayer PvP mod with 30-player support and a limited co-op experience.
  • The mod lets players only take on the Fourth Chorus boss together so far, as it is early in development.
  • The mod only works with the Steam version and will get more features over time.

Despite staggering success, Hollow Knight: Silksong has found itself in a string of controversies after launch. The sequel was reviewed negatively en masse due to its difficulty. That’s where modders made the experience better for the struggling players.

Now, a modder has fulfilled another major request of the fans by whipping up a multiplayer PvP mod with 30-player support. Created by XvX, the mod also boasts a limited co-op mode, letting players fight the fourth Chorus boss for testing purposes.

Why it matters: Hollow Knight: Silksong getting a multiplayer mod a few weeks after launch shows that the community demands an official co-op and PvP experience. The mod will also get more features with time.

The video showcases multiple hornets flooding the gameplay. The Fourth Chorus battle is extremely chaotic but satisfying, with players synchronously attacking the boss until it’s taken down. However, the current version is more of a test than a proper mod.

Everyone except the host needs to activate the boss first, and no player should have already defeated it; only then can the host activate it. It’s also essential that the host doesn’t die because the boss becomes uncontrollable.

The mod only works with the Steam version of the game. The file needs to be unzipped to the root directory, and the host can click on the ‘create room’ option and then ‘invite players’ in the game after everyone agrees to join.

Hollow Knight Silksong Steam
Hollow Knight: Silksong has been well-received on Steam and other platforms.

The co-op feature is expected to come to the rest of the game bosses in the future, with the synchronized damage system likely also being added for smaller enemies along the way.

The fans are also asking for a way to differentiate one player from another, which can be done via a skin system or simply by making other players have lower opacity. It can be downloaded from the Nexus Mods site.

Do you think Hollow Knight: Silksong will eventually get official co-op and multiplayer modes in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Samsung To Reportedly Increase The Prices of DRAM And NAND Memory By Up To 30%

Story Highlight
  • Samsung is increasing the price of its DRAM and NAND Flash memory chips.
  • The price hike is a result of high demand from AI and data centers, as well as supply issues.
  • DRAM memory, used in mobile devices and laptops, will increase by 15% to 30%.

According to information from a Korean news outlet, News Daily, Samsung Electronics plans to increase the prices of DRAM and NAND Flash memory chips. This means that DRAM memory, the storage devices, and the devices that use these will also get a price hike.

Samsung played this move right after SanDisk increased its prices for NAND memory. As a result of rising demand from AI and data centres, as well as supply restrictions, the entire industry is changing. Given that SanDisk has now been joined by Samsung Electronics, one of the world’s largest memory chip producers, other businesses will likely follow this.

This means that hardware and gadgets that require this memory will become more expensive. Western Digital has also increased the price of HDDs.

Samsung LPDDR5X 85 Gbps

Samsung Electronics will increase the prices based on the type of memory. The most affected memory is DRAM, which is use to make memory modules. This will result in a price increase of 15 to 30%. The most significant price rise will directly affect LPDDR4X, LPDDR5, and LPDDR5X memory.

This will have an impact on mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, handheld consoles, laptops, and mini-PCs with soldered memory. However, it will have a reduced impact on DDR4 and DDR5 memory used in desktop PCs or servers.

Regarding storage, NAND Flash memory chips, used in SSDs and mobile devices, are expected to receive a price increase of between 5% and 10%. The price increase may last till the end of next year. Other memory industry companies will also announce a price increase following SanDisk and Samsung.

Samsung memory LPDDR6

SanDisk raised the price of NAND Flash memory by 10% for both distribution and consumer products. The price hike was immediate, taking effect on September 5th. The cause remains the same: rising demand due to AI, data centres, and supply restrictions.

GTA 6: Take-Two Eyes Staggering 20 Million Sales Within 24 Hours of Release

Story Highlight
  • New report suggests that Take-Two is projecting 18-20 million sales for GTA 6 in the first 24 hours of launch.
  • This estimation is based on wishlists on the Xbox Store and PSN.
  • Another analyst previously predicted 85 million sales for the game in just 60 days.

With Rockstar finally settling on a solid release date for GTA 6, we’re just 7 months away from getting our hands on the game. Being the most-awaited release in history, fans and publishers both have some serious expectations for the game.

To put a little perspective on the publisher’s anticipations for the game, an insider has shared an internal sales forecast for the game. According to him, Take-Two projects 18-20 million sales for GTA 6 just on the day of its launch.

Why it matters: 20 million copies sold is a feat not easily achieved, and even the most successful AAA games take years to reach this level.

gta 6 20 million sales 24 hours
Take-Two’s Has Bold Expectations For GTA 6 || Source: X

According to insider Millie A, this sales forecast projection is wishlist data from PSN and the Microsoft Store alongside retail pre-orders.

Now, for a game like GTA 6, selling this many copies is not an unrealistic goal. For comparison, GTA 5 sold a bit over 11 million copies on its launch day, and that was more than a decade ago.

Since then, gaming has soared significantly in popularity, and combined with the hype for this entry, a 20 million sales goal might be achievable

gta 6 lucia
GTA 6 Most Likely Won’t Have A PC Version At Launch

Previously, another analyst shared their two cents on the sale projections, which came down to a whopping 85 million sales in just 60 days. The revenue estimate is $7.6 billion, with the game priced at $80, contrary to rumors of a $100 price.

With only 7 months left until launch, Rockstar could ramp up marketing for the game any time soon. We’ve yet to see any official footage of the game so far, which has raised doubts that the game might get delayed, but Strauss Zelnick is pretty confident in its planned release, and as far as tradition goes, Rockstar has never missed a confirmed release date.

What are your thoughts on this projection? Do you think GTA 6 is capable enough to sell 20 million copies within just 24 hours? Let us know in the comments below, or at the official Tech4Gamers Forums.

How Gaming Tech is Revolutionizing the Modern Student Experience

Story Highlight
  • The perception of video games in education has changed from being a distraction to being a primary learning tool.
  • Educational games help students develop essential skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and persistence.
  • Gaming mechanics like missions, rewards, and team challenges are integrated into classrooms to make learning more fun.

Back in my school days, learning was a pretty routine affair; long hours in class, heavy books to carry, copying notes, and waiting for the bell to ring. Most of the time, it felt more like a chore than something exciting.

Every now and then, we’d get a fun project, but overall, school felt strict and far removed from the things that actually interested us outside the classroom.

Now, things couldn’t be more different. Technology has completely changed the way students learn, in ways I never imagined back then. What surprises me most is how much of this change comes from video games: the same ones teachers used to say would ruin us.

From virtual reality labs to challenges that feel like quests, gaming has become a powerful part of modern education.

The Evolution of Educational Gaming Technologies

Quest Pro VR Headset
Quest Pro VR Headset.

When I was younger, video games were seen as nothing more than distractions. Teachers often said they made us lazy. But that idea has completely changed.

Now, games are being used as fundamental tools for learning. I’ve seen teachers use apps like Kahoot! to make quizzes feel like exciting competitions, and I’ve watched students explore virtual labs, trying experiments that wouldn’t be possible in a regular classroom.

When I had to tackle big research projects, it often felt really overwhelming. I noticed a lot of students turning to online dissertation writing services for extra help. At the same time, many of us were using little “gaming tricks” to get through our schoolwork, like making study sessions into challenges or rewarding ourselves for finishing tasks.

It made me see how our brains link things in surprising ways, something scientists are still trying to figure out.

Even Minecraft: Education Edition has become huge, with over 115 million students and teachers using it. And it makes sense.

The same kids who spend hours building worlds at home are now using those skills to learn math, science, and even history.

Classroom Integration: Gaming Tech in Academic Settings

The real impact isn’t just in the technology, but in how it changes the classroom experience. I’ve seen bored students light up when lessons are turned into missions or challenges.

Instead of competing with TikTok or Instagram, teachers are connecting with students in ways they already enjoy. Reward systems that track progress, like virtual gold stars but cooler, really motivate students.

Group projects become fun with team challenges, and story-driven lessons keep students engaged instead of making them memorize random facts. Instant feedback lets kids learn from mistakes right away, without waiting for graded papers.

Beyond Entertainment: Skills Development Through Gaming

Learning Through VR
The future of educational gaming involves more personalized learning through technologies like VR and AR.

What excites me most is the kind of skills gaming brings out that old-school learning often failed to. I’ve seen students practice problem-solving, teamwork, and persistence without even realizing it.

A 2022 study found that students in game-based classes were 23% better at problem-solving skills compared to those in traditional classrooms. That tracks with what I’ve noticed: when kids are “in the zone” – what gamers call a flow state – they’re so focused on the task that learning stops feeling like a chore.

And honestly, that’s something I wish I had back in my own school days. Instead of grinding through homework to get it done, students now get hooked on the process itself.

Social Connection and Community Building

Another thing I’ve noticed is that gaming doesn’t stop when the school day ends. Students create Discord groups to share tips, post YouTube tutorials that mix gaming with schoolwork, and keep working together long after class is over.

During the pandemic, when everything moved online, this became a real lifesaver. Multiplayer educational platforms let students learn together, even from miles apart. For kids in rural areas or with limited resources, that connection made a big difference.

It reminds me of gaming communities outside school, where experienced players help newcomers. In education, the same idea applies, where students learn to support each other instead of just competing for grades.

The Challenges We Can’t Ignore

Minecraft Education Edition
Minecraft Education Edition.

Of course, it’s not all smooth sailing. Not every student has access to fast internet or up-to-date devices. A 2023 report showed that around 15% of U.S. students still don’t have reliable internet at home, and that gap makes a big difference.

There’s also the worry about too much screen time, unhealthy competition, or the toxic side of gaming culture bleeding into education. And while some students thrive with these tools, accurately grading their progress can be tricky.

Tests don’t always capture what a student gains from gaming-based learning. Then there’s the teacher side of it. I’ve met educators who feel totally lost when handed a VR headset or an app like Minecraft.

Without proper training, even the best tools sit unused.

Looking Ahead

The future feels wide open. As VR and AR continue to evolve, I can envision students walking through ancient Rome, exploring the interior of a cell, or even engaging in conversations with historical figures brought to life by technology.

The next big step, I think, is personalization. Games that adjust to each student’s pace and learning style could finally solve the age-old problem of one-size-fits-all education.

We’re still in the early stages, but the sky is the limit. The students growing up with this technology will one day be the teachers who refine it, and that cycle of improvement might make school something kids actually look forward to.

What strikes me most is how gaming technology changes the way school feels. It’s no longer just pushing through endless worksheets. Instead, it’s about curiosity, teamwork, and even moments of excitement.

I’m not saying it fixes everything, as there are still challenges with access, training, and finding the right balance, but I’ve seen enough to know this isn’t just a passing trend.

Silent Hill f Review Roundup – A Brutal And Beautiful Silent Hill Title

Story Highlight
  • Silent Hill f reviews are out, and the game has secured an average score of 86 on Metacritic.
  • Reviewers are calling it the franchise’s best, praising its fresh take on survival horror.
  • While most praise it, some critics view the combat system as a weak point.

Silent Hill f is a fresh, upcoming title in the franchise that has been generating a lot of hype since its first reveal. While the rumored Soulslike elements initially drew some criticism from fans, the developers have confirmed that the game does not actually include those mechanics.

The anticipation is at an all-time high, and now the reviews are in. The game has earned a solid score of 86 on Metacritic, which is impressive for a new entry in the series after such a long hiatus.

Why it matters: Silent Hill f’s approach to horror is being praised across the board and is set to take the franchise’s signature fear to the next level.

Silent Hill f Reviews
Silent Hill f Has Received An Average Score of 86 on Metacritic.

The game currently holds an average score of 86 on Metacritic, based on 58 reviews. While more reviews are expected to roll in, the average score is unlikely to change significantly.

The following are some of the review scores:

  • Game Rant – 10/10
  • Dexerto – 10/10
  • Inverse – 10/10
  • Gamepressure – 9.5/10
  • Digital Trends – 9/10
  • GameSpot – 9/10

Hinako’s journey in Silent Hill f is brutal, beautiful, and brilliant. As someone that has been playing survival-horror games for decades, Silent Hill f is exactly what I want from a modern-day entry in the genre.

-Reviewer

The game has received widespread praise from reviewers and is shaping up to be a must-play for survival horror fans. It’s being seen as a step forward for the franchise, a significant achievement in itself.

Silent Hill f elevates the horror experience by introducing intense psychological twists and refined survival elements that push the genre to new heights.

Everyone seems to agree that this new spin on the franchise has worked quite well, but not all reviewers are on board with the combat. In fact, the game has received lower scores from some outlets primarily due to issues with its combat system. For some, it may have felt too difficult or unbalanced.

This Mic Is Unbelievebly Good For Its Price…

Story Highlights
  • With an MSRP of $49, you’re getting nice cancellation, premium clarity sound, and an extremely appealing RGB glow.
  • The position of the input cables at the backside of the mic is pretty awkward, and the cable looks bad if you’re recording yourself.
  • The mic’s shape design is similar to the Razer Seiren V2 Pro, with the exception being that its bottom half has RGB.

When we talk about gaming mics, two things come to mind: good sound and RGB. But that comes at a price point of over $98 for the most part. But what if I tell you that you can get the same for half the price? Well, that’s the Syntech GlowMic for you.

Box Contents (Image By Tech4Gamers)

Forget About ‘Gaming Mics’, Get This Instead

The mic is shaped much like the Razer Seiren V2 Pro, with the same capsule design, but the difference is that the Syntech GlowMic features a bottom half with a beautiful section that includes RGB lighting.

Initial Impressions

You get an attachable metallic pop filter, which looks pretty sleek. It also attaches in a clever way. Instead of having a clip like you do with a standard mic, here you get two metal hooks that fit inside the holes on the mic, where it fits nicely.

On the front of the mic, you get a solid knob without any functionality to press to mute it, which I like having in a mic. But that functionality is present at the top of the mic, where you can press to mute.

Cardoid Pattern
Metallic Pop Filter (Image By Tech4Gamers)

Not only can you hold that same button to activate the noise cancellation, but the blue light will turn green to indicate that this mode has been activated. Speaking of a light, there’s a huge RGB section at the bottom of the mic.

Insane RGB Glow

This design is like a hollow glass capsule where the RGB glows so seamlessly, hence the name is GlowMic. I find the RGB extremely appealing, and you can change the modes by pressing a button present at the back of the mic.

You can also cycle through various lighting modes, including a gradient colour effect with breathing, flowing, and other cool variants. When muted, the entire RGB turned to a stagnant red colour, so you know your teammates can’t hear you.

Static Solid Color Image By Tech4Gamers)

Incredible Sound Quality

Speaking of the sound itself, you get a very clear sound without much noise. The noise cancellation on this mic is exceptional, a feature often found in more expensive gaming microphones.

Since it’s a condenser mic, the further you go, the more noise it picks up from the background. But with its noise cancellation feature, you can really hear the noise drop down to almost silence just when you activate it

Another thing I like about this mic is that it doesn’t have the weird static background noise that you’d otherwise hear from other affordable mics, like the Fifine K688

Unbelievable Price Point

Now comes the best part about this mic: the insane price point. Believe it or not, but the Syntech GlowMic has an MSRP of $49. With the features it offers, its value is easily beyond $100.

Think about it, how many more “premium” gaming mics can you find in this price range that have this type of sound quality?  Absolutely none. Most of them start from around $100. There is another affordable mic that we tested, which is Comica EJoy D10 PRO, which has clarity, noise cancellation feature, and bass mode, but it still costs around $78.

What I Dislike About It

The placement of the RGB button and the input cable is awkward. To plug it, you need to put it behind, and if you’re recording a video where your audience can see the mic, they’ll also see the cables sticking out, which doesn’t look neat.

3.5mm Headphone Jack, Touch RGB Light Adjustment Button & Type-C Port
Syntech GlowMic’s Backside (Image By Tech4Gamers)

The same issue is with the RGB button, which is placed behind the mic, so if you wanna shuffle through the lighting modes or colours, you have to stick your hand far behind it to access that button, which isn’t convenient.

If they could make the button at the bottom of the mic, then it would be very feasible, but I’m being very nitpicky here, and these things may not bother most of the people who use this mic.

Verdict

All in all, you now know how insane the value the Syntech GlowMic provides without compromising on any of the premium features. Needless to say, it’s more than a steal, and you should grab it as soon as you can.

Do Laptop Coolers Actually Work? & Are They Actually Worth It?

Story Highlights
  • Laptops tend to get heated as heat gets trapped in the vents, and while raising them is one solution, it isn’t effective in the long run.
  • Cheaper laptop coolers drop the temperature by around 5°C-6°C, whereas the premium ones can drop temperatures up to 16°C.
  • It is worth investing in a premium laptop cooler if you frequently use your laptop for intensive workloads.

Laptops often heat up more than they should, especially when under a heavy workload. This is when laptop coolers come in, but the question is: Do they work? If yes, then how good are they? Let’s answer these questions so you don’t burn your laps.

Laptop Cooling Pads

Laptop’s Common Heat Issues

Before answering these questions, let’s uncover what actually goes on inside the laptop when it gets hot. See, when you run an intensive workload, the fans start blasting, and it feels like you’re touching a burning cooking pot.

How Does A Laptop Get Heated

Under heavy workload, such as a heavy game or a CPU-intensive video render, the heat pipes heat a liquid inside the laptop, forming hot vapors that are transferred outward with the help of a fan. And since laptops are compact, these heat pipes and fans are designed to be extremely small, which limits their ability to dissipate heat

Additionally, the trapped heat raises the CPU temperature, which causes thermal throttling. This is when the CPU starts lowering its performance by reducing clock speeds, so it doesn’t overheat. It is one of the reasons why gaming laptops aren’t worth it

Solutions

While lifting the laptop slightly also helps dissipate heat, it isn’t the long-term solution. This is where laptop coolers come in. These coolers provide external cooling from the base of the laptop, where some even align with the laptop’s internal vent layout to push air where it’s most needed. While that’s good on paper, let’s see how good they are in reality.

Laptop Coolers For The Rescue

Laptop coolers do work, but it is worth noting that not all coolers perform the same. The more premium they are, the more features they’re packed with, and they’re also on the more expensive side.

3DMark Test Laptop Coolers

To compare, let’s look at one of Amazon’s best-selling $25 coolers and compare it with two other coolers, each of which is better than the other. The results are surprising in the performance mode and testing on 3DMark TimeSpy.

The cheapest option shaved off around 2°C for CPU and GPU temperatures. The Havit HV-F2056 was slightly better. The premium Llano cooling pad running at 300 RPM showed an 8°C drop in temperature.

Ramping up the speed of the Llano cooler to the max gives you the best performance since it can cool down the CPU by a whopping 14°C and the GPU by 12°C. Now, let’s see their performance in games.

Note: (The $5 cooler is now around $25 on Amazon, and you can check the updated prices on your own as well.)

Cyberpunk 2077 Benchmarks

In Cyberpunk 2077, there wasn’t much change on the other two cooling pads, and the difference only started to pick up when the Llano cooler was at 300 RPM. Here it was around 9°C, and with the maximum RPM, the temperature dropped to around 16°C.

This shows that laptop coolers aren’t just a gimmick because they actually work. But what if we ramp it up with another premium cooler, which is from Razer? It would be interesting to see how well Llano performs comparatively.

While testing 3DMark Timespy, Razer’s cooling pad was slightly better than Llano’s, as it shaved around 6°C more than Llano’s. Needless to say, the more you’re willing to invest in a cooler, the better thermals you’re going to get.

Razer Vs Llano Coolers
Razer Vs Llano Cooler (Image Credits – YT/Matthew Moniz)

Another feature that the Razer and Llano coolers have is the dust protection. These premium coolers are designed in a way that the laptop sits on a structure with foam borders to avoid getting dust in the vents.

Now comes the big part: the noise levels. The cheaper ones have no issue when it comes to the noise levels, and most stay within a bearable level, but that comes with a cost of not performing as well.

In contrast, the premium coolers perform great and do their job perfectly, but they tend to get very loud. The Razer one is also on par with the Llano cooler when it comes to the noise levels.

Verdict

Now, you know that laptop coolers work, and the more you invest in a premium one, the more worthwhile it is if you’re an avid user, as it’ll be a more substantial investment. Sadly, you can’t optimise more than that, unlike on a gaming PC, where you would simply swap your stock cooler with a quieter and more affordable one.

Wooting 60HE Vs It’s Exact Clone: But Is It Worth It?

Story Highlights
  • Mad60 is the exact copy of the Wooting 60HE+, with the same size and shape, so that its module even fits perfectly in Wooting’s mount.
  • It has less dense foams but better stabilisers, so it sounds slightly better than Wooting 60HE.
  • It has Hall effect switches and all the features such as adjustable actuation, Dynamic Key Stroke, Mod tap, toggle switch, and even SOCD.

When it comes to one of the best keyboards for gaming, Wooting 60HE (formerly HE, now HE+) comes to mind. But the way it’s priced, it is not affordable by any means. But what if there were a budget alternative? Well, there is one. I’m talking about none other than Madlion’s Mad60.

Wooting 60 HE+ (Image Credits – Tech4Gamers)

Mad60: Wooting In 1/4 The Price?

Right out of the box, you’ll see how these two are extremely similar to each other. Madlions has not only managed to make the shape and size of the keyboard similar to Wooting’s, but also the feet placement and even the groove on the top are the same.

Appearance

If you think it was unintentional, then you’re mistaken because this was designed as a copy of the legendary 60HE+. And we know it because if you swap its module with Wooting’s, it fits perfectly in place.

Differences In Strap

It also features straps on the keyboard, much like Wooting’s, and even has the same model number placement. Additionally, the details behind the keyboard are located in the same spot and enclosed in the same shape.

Wooting 60HE Vs Mad60HE
Similar Backside And Strap (Image Credits – YT/Squashy Boy)

Despite the similarities in design, there are still a few notable aspects that set both keyboards apart. Firstly, the strap on the Wooting 60HE+ is very durable, and you can feel the high quality of the material when you touch it.

But the strap on the Mad60 is flimsy, made with a lanyard material that feels downright cheap, if I’m being honest. However, that’s all about the design differences; let’s now examine what’s hiding underneath this keyboard and whether it surpasses Wooting in any way.

PCB & Foams

Taking the keys off this tray-mounted keyboard, you get a dampening foam pad at the bottom, and there’s a sheet in between the PCB and the top plate. Visually, there isn’t much difference from the Wooting setup, but the quality of what it’s being used for makes all the difference.

For instance, the foam used in the Mad60 is extremely light, and there is very little density to it. In comparison, the foam in Wooting 60HE+ is Poron foam between the PCB and its plate and EPDM for the bottom, which is a very dense synthetic rubber.

Mad60 Foams
Foams Used In Mad60 (Image Credits – YT/Squashy Boy)

Better Stabilizers

Despite the poor quality of the foams, the stabilisers on the Mad60 are surprisingly good. They are slightly lubed, and there’s even a little dampening pad behind the space bar as well.

All of these make the Mad60 sound slightly better than the Wooting 60HE+, but the sound aspect is completely objective. What’s impressive is the way it sounds and doesn’t rattle; it doesn’t feel like a cheaper keyboard.

Switches & Software

Now, let’s talk about what matters the most: the switches. Firstly, there is a bit of rattle on the switches of the Wooting, which is present on the Mad60. While the Wooting 60HE+ uses Lekker switches, the Mad60 uses unbranded Magnetics Axis Pro switches.

Mad60 Switches
Magnetics Axis Pro switches [2nd One] (Image Credits – Madlions)
These are Hall-effect switches, but their trigger levels can be adjusted to increments as small as 0.08mm. Surprisingly, all the standard Hall-effect features work in this affordable keyboard, including adjustable and rapid triggers, as well as additional sensitivity.

The Mad60 also features all the advanced capabilities of a premium Hall effect keyboard, including Dynamic Key Stroke, Mod Tap, Toggle Switch, and even SOCD – all of which you can access from its software.

Pricing

You get all of these premium features for only around $45, which is absurd, especially when compared to the Wooting 60HE+, which comes with a price tag of around $175. But you might be wondering how Madlions managed to do this at such a low price.

Wooting 60HE+ Price (Image Credits – Tech4Gamers)

What’s The Catch?

Well, when you buy premium products from known brands, you get support from the brand with a warranty and consistency in their software. With brands like Madlions, you’re almost making a gamble.

Firstly, you get only a 30-day warranty if you order directly from the website. It could be different if you do it from other online retailers. Secondly, the software is inconsistent.

Many people have reported that some features haven’t worked for them, while others have reinstalled the driver multiple times, and the features have started to work, which highlights the inconsistency and unreliability of this brand.

Finally, it is a replica company, which means that it may or may not land in hot water because of ripping off Wooting. If this brand disappears or the software is taken down, the keyboard is essentially abandoned, as it relies on the software for adjustments.

Mad60 Software
Mad60 Software (Image Credits – Madlions)

Verdict

If you were to ignore the issues mentioned above, it still remains a remarkable option to consider, especially because it features everything the Wooting is designed for. And you get all of it at such a low price, which is quite a bargain to say the least.

Many people have loved the Mad60 and are still rocking it. Now, Wooting has released their 60HE v2, so I believe Madlions will also have their version of it, and the masses might love it as well.

A New Mafia Game Is Already In Development, Confirms VA

Story Highlight
  • Voice actor from Mafia: The Old Country confirms new game in development.
  • Isabella Torris’s knowledge about the project hints it could be sequel to Old Country.
  • Neither Hangar 13 nor 2K has confirmed the news as of yet.

It’s been only a bit over a month since Mafia: The Old Country released, and Hangar 13 already seems to have its eyes on the future. The title managed to prove good for the studio as it became August’s most profitable game.

Now, a Mafia voice actor has confirmed that a new installment in the franchise is already underway. While there are no more details on what it’s going to be, this indicates we can expect another game in the future.

Why it matters? The Mafia franchise has always been a mixed bag, but it still has a solid fan base. Also, considering the last game was also decent, fans would be delighted to know another is on the way.

Carina Conti, the voice actress who played Isabella Torris in The Old Country, appeared on a live stream with Bubbly Nuggets and was asked about any new Mafia projects. She said Hangar 13 did greenlight another Mafia game.

While there are no details on the project, it could maybe be set in the same time or could even be a continuation of Old Country, assuming Conti will be involved in it, but this is just speculation on our part.

Hangar 13 is already working on a new Mafia game

Without spoiling the game much, Mafia: The Old Country did have elements of ending on a cliffhanger, so we won’t be surprised if the next game is a sequel to it. Nonetheless, if the game is indeed planned, we might hear about it soon.

Horizon Zero Dawn Seemingly The Next PlayStation Port Coming To Xbox

Story Highlight
  • A new link suggests PlayStation is planning to release Horizon Zero Dawn on Xbox.
  • A similar trend was observed for Helldivers 2, and it eventually came out for the rivals.
  • If this is indeed true, it seems both companies are adopting a solid multiplatform strategy.

Ever since Helldivers 2 launched on Xbox, speculations about more PlayStation titles being ported to Team Green have been surfacing all over the internet. While Sony denied the rumors, it seems it does have plans for more ports anyway.

On your browser, if you currently search for Horizon Zero Dawn Xbox, you can see a link to the game for Xbox. However, if you click on it, it takes you to the German Xbox page, but there, it says that the requested page is not available.

Why it matters: PlayStation showed intent to release games on other platforms, but that was primarily for its live service titles like Helldivers 2; however, it seems that something changed in its policy.

Horizon Zero Dawn link for Xbox spotted, indicating an announcement coming soon

We spotted a dedicated link to Horizon Zero Dawn for Xbox, and it doesn’t seem like a coincidence at all. Before Helldivers 2 eventually came to Xbox, it saw a similar thing, indicating a solid cause that Horizon could be the next in line.

If it is indeed the case, we might see an announcement soon. This would also mark a huge shift in Sony’s policies, which have been very rigid in the past. But now, as console wars don’t really exist, multiplatform is the way to go.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Bombed On Steam
Horizon Zero Dawn could soon be arriving on Xbox

Xbox has also been actively releasing its flagship titles like Indiana Jones for the PS5, and it looks like Sony is about to do the same. Nonetheless, we will soon find out if the link becomes a reality or if it was just a mistake.

Konami Asks Fans Which Metal Gear Solid Remakes Should Come Next In New Survey

Story Highlights
  • Konami’s latest survey points to future Metal Gear Solid remakes.
  • The gaming giant is allowing fans to pick which game they would like to see remade.
  • The same survey also mentions Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2, which should remaster Metal Gear Solid 4.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake marked the long-anticipated comeback for Konami’s beloved franchise recently. Konami has already sold millions of copies, and despite facing a few criticisms, the publisher is on track to release more Metal Gear Solid titles in the future.

Fans, in particular, are excited about the prospect of future remakes. Konami has already expressed interest in re-releasing other Metal Gear Solid titles, and the publisher’s latest survey asks fans to choose which game gets to be next in line.

Why it matters: Konami has found immediate success with both its latest remakes. The studio will now look toward continuing this momentum moving forward.

Future Metal Gear Solid Remakes Are Almost Guaranteed

Konami’s latest survey explicitly mentions all games from the franchise as prospects for future remakes. This is a clear sign that more remakes are coming, and fans will be glad to know that the publisher is taking fan feedback so seriously.

Among these titles, Metal Gear Solid 4 is likely to be next in line. Konami is expected to re-release this particular title as part of the next Master Collection Volume, also mentioned in the survey, so fans will soon get to play the PS3-exclusive entry of the franchise.

Interestingly, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is not mentioned in the survey. This is likely due to PlatinumGames’ involvement in the project, which would require collaboration with the studio for a remake.

Anyhow, this survey all but confirms more remakes for the Metal Gear Solid IP.
