The Syntech RGB Glowmic has a distinctive pill-shaped design making it unique in its own way. Therefore, this microphone is an exciting product that integrates captivating lighting effects with satisfactory-grade audio output. The design of this product takes inspiration from the amazing splendor of the gaming environment, namely the auroras and rainbows. It successfully combines traditional aspects with the sleek and modern aesthetics of gamer vibes.

The objective is to fully submerge customers in the world of content creation, creating compelling and unique content. One issue that I have regarding the design is that I would suggest relocating the control scheme from its current position between the two wires, which is somewhat more difficult to reach, to the bottom where it will always be conveniently accessible. On the bright side, the microphone has been fitted with an additional layer of sponge that absorbs shocks at its base.

It guarantees the microphone’s stability and reduces vibrations while in use. Therefore, the Sytech GlowMic’s versatility and reliability make it an excellent product for capturing high-quality audio in diverse recording situations. Moreover, the Sytech GlowMic stands out due to its compatibility feature, which consists of a 5/8″ thread size on the microphone and a 5/8″ to 3/8″ adapter. This enables effortless compatibility with the majority of standard boom arms currently available in the market.

The Syntech RGB GlowMic not only has remarkable audio and lighting features but is also very user-friendly. Featuring a plug-and-play approach this microphone delivers straightforward setup and use, which makes it ideal for enthusiasts about content production across all experience levels. The Syntech RGB GlowMic USB Condenser Microphone is an excellent choice, appealing not just to content producers but also to streamers and podcast hosts.

There are nearly no limits related to this microphone since it offers satisfactory-grade audio recording capabilities and is an essential component of any recording setup. Moreover, the Syntech RGB GlowMic presents compatibility with a wide variety of devices, covering PCs, Macs, and gaming platforms, giving it a flexible choice for content creators who work across several platforms. Whether you are recording in your own studio or when travelling, this microphone provides complete flexibility.

Control Scheme

Located in the topmost part, there is a capacitive button that serves two roles. The 2-in-1 button has the ability to ease the usage process both during live streaming and gaming. First, a single touch will mute the microphone, and holding it down for three seconds will activate the noise suppression feature.

On the other side, the Syntech GlowMic’s back has your inputs and outputs, including a USB-C connector for connecting to your preferred device and a 3.5mm headphone jack for real-time audio monitoring with zero-latency feedback. Whether you decide to keep working or take a break, the RGB Lights and LED glow red or blue to show your current microphone state. In addition, the RGB GlowMic’s gain knob allows you to tweak the sensitivity and loudness to suit the desired live recording setting.

While using the microphone, my little complaint is that the USB-C connector and headphone jack are in the wrong places. Slightly off-center, they occupy roughly two-thirds of the microphone’s upper half. The lower half of the microphone is occupied by the RGB lighting, making only the higher spot left. It could have been a better idea if they had located these ports toward the microphone’s center or the bottom.

WARNING: Be mindful of the microphone’s sensitivity to handling noise and ambient sounds, especially in quiet recording environments. To minimize unwanted noise, ensure the microphone is securely mounted on a stable surface and avoid bumping or tapping it during use.

RGB Lighting

Generally speaking, RGB microphones are in great demand among live streamers and gamers because of their impressive spectral range and variable sound intensities. Notably, the integrated RGB lighting feature is the main feature focused by the manufacturer and what really distinguishes the Syntech RGB GlowMic from competing mics of the same price bracket in the market.

Innovative sound and visuals come together in this masterpiece. When sound waves strike the diaphragm, they cause vibrations, which in turn create a million-color spectrum. As a result, this microphone will add a touch of elegance to your livestreams. Furthermore, with the Syntech RGB GlowMic, you can adjust the lighting to reflect your own style, whether that’s a cozy ambiance for a podcast session or a splash of color for your livestream with the help of an additional capacitive button.

The two RGB zones occupy the lower portion of the microphone across the front and back. A single press changes the settings within the chosen mode while double-clicking this button toggles the RGB between six modes, such as solid color, gradient, color cycling, and a few more. Notably, in Sound Pressure Mode, your voice controls the pulsating lights.

Both of the sides’ lighting emit dazzling lights making it more visually appealing, but if the brightness could be adjusted better, the colors would be reproduced more clearly, and it could be easier to see on streams. Furthermore, the up-and-down movement of the color gradient is visible, but the colors aren’t as distinct as you’d want. Nevertheless, you can’t deny how vivid the colors are.

PRO TIP: To enhance the visual impact of your streams or recordings, experiment with different lighting effects and color settings on the Syntech RGB GlowMic. Adjusting the RGB lighting to complement your content’s mood or theme can elevate the overall viewer experience and make your setup stand out.

Here is the recording sample:

Captivating design meets satisfactory-grade performance, all at an unbeatable price.

Actual Usage

Practically speaking, the sound was satisfactory at first listening. Because it is a condenser mic, there was some ambient noise, but the low frequencies were well-recorded. A little issue arose at higher frequencies, but it is easily negligible with minimal processing. To avoid clipping and hissing, adjust the gain appropriately and maintain a safe distance from the microphone.

Plosives are the only sounds that the pop filter can effectively remove. All things considered, GlowMic is an unexpected and worthwhile option for price-conscious buyers in search of high-quality audio equipment due to its design and performance. If you want to utilize it for professional purposes, such as online conferences, zoom meetings, presentations, and many more, you should disable its RGB lighting.

Noise Cancellation

The Syntech GlowMic’s noise cancellation is its most effective feature. In all likelihood, you won’t want any more processing power than what the GlowMic’s noise cancellation function provides. Being aware that this was an inexpensive microphone, my expectations for how well it was going to able to capture my speech accurately were quite low.

The noise reduction was of unexpectedly high quality, and the reduced strain on your computer’s resources will be helpful while streaming. Having that additional capacity can be a game-changer. In short, the Syntech GlowMic is perfect for playing video games while streaming as it improves the quality of your voice and blocks distracting background noise.

Should You Buy It?

Buy It If

It’s a cost-effective option for those on a tight budget.

Don’t Buy It If

❌You Require Studio-Grade Clarity: While the Syntech RGB GlowMic offers high-quality audio recording capabilities, including studio-level sampling rates and bit depths, it may not meet the demanding standards of professional studio setups. Consider your specific audio needs before purchasing.

❌You Prefer Extensive Customization: If you’re looking for extensive customization options such as accompanying software for tinkering or advanced audio settings, the Syntech RGB GlowMic may not offer the level of customization you desire. Evaluate whether its preset features meet your requirements.

❌You Need Advanced Audio Processing: If you require advanced audio processing features such as built-in equalizers, noise gate controls, or compressor settings, the Syntech RGB GlowMic may not offer the level of customization and fine-tuning capabilities you need for your specific audio requirements. Consider higher-end microphones with more advanced audio processing features.

Bottom Line

In conclusion, I strongly recommend the Syntech RGB GlowMic. The retail price is $49.99. Just think about it for a second. I know you already know that very few of the microphones you’ve seen include integrated processing, much less any respectable processing. Can you tell me how many cost less than $100? Exactly zero. Furthermore, this is the company’s initial effort at a microphone specifically designed for gaming.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Syntech GlowMic. Any beginner content creator wishing to elevate their production to the next level must have it due to its user-friendly design, high-quality audio, and RGB lighting. This microphone will definitely improve your content quality and add a bit of flair to your setup with its modern and elegant design.

Furthermore, the Syntech RGB GlowMic is an exciting product in the market of content production microphones because of its attractive design, outstanding functionality, and reasonable price. Not only that, for the same price as microphones even without a knob, you can get an excellent sound with outstanding noise suppression with this microphone.

You may get it at the official website of the manufacturer. In sum, the Syntech RGB GlowMic is the best choice if you want a microphone that records high-quality audio and has eye-catching lighting effects. Trust me, this is the microphone you need if you are just thinking or at the intital stages of creating content.
