With Microsoft ending support for Windows 10, users are now migrating to Linux.
The Gnome-based OS saw 200,000 downloads in just 2 days, out of which 72% were Microsoft users.
Windows 11’s strict hardware requirements have left many of these users behind in the dust.
Earlier this month, Windows 10 ended its 10-year run with Microsoft officially pulling the plug on the OS, leaving 40% of total Windows users stranded without updates. However, instead of moving to Windows 11, the majority of these users are migrating to Linux instead.
Based on Gnome, Zorin OS 18 was just released a few days ago and is marketed as a proper alternative to Windows and macOS users. In just 2 days, the OS reached a whopping 200,000 downloads.
Why it matters: Among all the versions of the OS, Windows 10 had the largest user base. Certain requirements to upgrade have stranded these users, forcing them to shift to Linux.
The Social Media Account Of The OS Announcing Its Milestone || X
Among these 200,000 downloads, 72% of them came from Windows. Zorin OS 18 can be customised to give a UI similar to any of the OS you’ve used in the past, whether it was Windows 7/10/11 or even Mac OS. This also makes it the perfect starter OS for those trying Linux for the first time.
Zorin OS 18 is also able to run Windows applications through the integration with Wine 10, which can translate Windows system calls into Linux in real-time.
Still, those who want to stay on Windows 10 are vulnerable to various malicious attacks. Microsoft is offering an Extended Security Update to offer security protection for an additional year, but enrolling will cost $61 a year.
UI Appearance For Zorin OS 18
When talking about an upgrade to Windows 11, such a case isn’t possible for most users due to the strict requirements Microsoft has placed. A TPM 2.0 requirement will need users to upgrade their hardware, 200 million of them to be precise. As such, moving to other OS like Linux or even downgrading to Windows 7 is the go-to choice for users here.

Arc Raiders’ design director revealed that Marathon’s failed playtest helped them understand what fans didn’t like.
Both games had an alpha this April, with the criticism for Marathon’s playtest teaching Embark important lessons.
The team is still rooting for Marathont to make a successful comeback.
Arc Raiders has surprised everyone with its amazing and wildly successful playtest on Steam last week, which garnered almost 200K concurrent players and rave reviews for the extraction shooter. The Embark Studios title has been embraced by fans due to its cheap $40 price and immersive gameplay.
However, if you ask the game’s design director, Arc Raider’s success would not be possible without an awkward external inspiration: Sony’s Marathon.
Why it matters: Sony’s live-service attempts turning out to be lessons of failure is an indictment of the company’s strategy.
While talking to PC Gamer in a new interview, design director Virgil Watkins said that Marathon’s April playtest helped the team make Arc Raiders better, as they knew what not to do. Both the extraction shooters had an alpha test earlier this year, but the Sony title was met with disappointment from fans.
It was a very great A/B test for us, because obviously they [Marathon] made decisions that we didn’t, So we could kind of compare and contrast.
Arc Raiders is set to launch on October 30th.
This gave Embark an idea of what players thought of certain features, as Marathon developer Bungie made completely different decisions. Hence, Arc Raiders nailed so many aspects because Marathon’s critically panned playtest helped the devs realize what worked for the fans.
Despite the competition, however, Virgil Watkins is rooting for Marathon and is excited to see what Bungie is developing. The Arc Raiders’ design director praised the evocative art style of the Sony title, saying he was hoping to see more of the game in the future.
Unlike Arc Raiders, Marathon has not received any positive attention after its April playtest with Sony even admitting that launching the game is a risk, as it is a live service title. The title has been pushed back to 2026, and all attempts to curb negative reviews have been unsuccessful.

Clair Obscur is PlayStation Store’s highest rated release of the year with 4.9/5.
The title is followed by two exclusives: Death Stranding: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei.
Sandfall’s game is also the 2nd-best-rated Metacritic release and a solid GOTY contender.
Turn-based genre is often labelled as dead in the gaming industry, as modern gamers find it boring and slow-paced. That’s when Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released and changed the whole perspective of the genre.
It is one of the top-rated releases on Metacritic this year, and also the highest-rated PlayStation store game of 2025, beating the likes of Death Stranding 2, Ghost of Yotei, and more, making it a solid game of the year contender.
Why it matters: Clair Obscur is topping charts everywhere. Among other PlayStation hits this year, it has managed to come out on top and even recently won multiple awards, including the GOTY at the Thailand Game Show.
Highest Rated Games on PSN 2025
1 of 3
Clair Obscur currently stands with the highest overall reviews at 4.9/5. It is closely followed by Death Stranding 2 with 4.88, which, in terms, is followed by Ghost of Yotei at 4.82. The top 3 are followed by Split Fiction, Sword of the Sea, and Shinobi.
This shows how big a global phenomenon Sandfall’s title has been. It has only managed to revive an otherwise dead genre, but has also given it a whole new definition, and fans praise it for that in their reviews.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is being hailed as GOTY 2025.
Overall, it is the highest-rated 2025 release and was recently beaten by Hades 2 to the throne, another excellent title. But this shows how small to medium budget games have been a highlight of the year.
It’s a proof that developers don’t need to add huge open worlds or anything too flashy to the games. The games just need to have a good story with layered characters and well-designed gameplay, and the players will take them on top.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has won GOTY and three other awards at the Thailand Game Show 2025.
The other awards span multiple categories: Best RPG Game, Best PC/Console Game, and Popular Vote.
The Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show event has also been a success, boasting over 206,159 attendees.
The merging of Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has been quite successful this year, as it pulled a record-breaking 206,159 attendees over the event’s exciting four days. The event ended with Thailand Game Show’s award ceremony, and the results surprised everyone.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dominated the overall competition by winning the Game of the Year award at the show, leaving games like Death Stranding 2 and Elden Ring Nightreign in the dust for the spot. The game also hogged awards across multiple other categories.
Why it matters: Clair Obscur’s securing multiple notable awards already highlights the game’s resounding success, which could encourage more studios to pursue narrative-driven and artistic RPGs in the future.
As announced at the Thailand Game Show 2025 event, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also won awards for Best RPG Game, Best PC/Console Game, and the Popular Vote, showcasing that the RPG had incredibly strong legs against its competitors.
Expedition 33 winning GOTY, as voted by the Thai gamers, further confirms that the RPG captivated gamers across all platforms and regions, and it also enhances the game’s credibility across other regional and international game shows.
The community also expects it to win the GOTY award at the end of the year during the much bigger The Game Awards 2025 show. On a side note, the team behind the game recently claimed that the entry only captured 85% of its original vision.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold like hotcakes since launch.
Some other 2025 hitters also won various awards. Death Stranding 2 won in the Best Action-Adventure category, while Elden Ring Nightreign was crowned as the Best Multiplayer title. And Resident Evil: Requiem won accolades for being the Most Anticipated title.

The former Saints Row designer argues GTA 6 can justify a $100 MSRP.
He says that the game should cost $100 since every game is not created equal.
This statement has drawn mixed reactions, with many being against the idea of a $100 launch price.
Rockstar is rapidly approaching the 2026 release date for GTA 6, raising concerns about the game’s price tag. While many have argued that a price higher than $70 would harm the game, the actual MSRP is still anybody’s guess.
Chiming in on the discussion, a former Saints Row developer recently noted that GTA 6 would be the only game to justify a $100 price tag.
Why it matters: The AAA industry has already seen two major shifts, with Nintendo upping prices to $80 very recently. Therefore, fans are not too interested in seeing prices go up again.
GTA 6 Is Just A Few Months Away At This Point
When asked whether the gaming industry would see another price hike with GTA 6, Chris Stockman, who designed the original Saints Row, noted that Rockstar could certainly pull it off.
He commented that games are not created equal, and Rockstar would be the only one to get away with such a price tag. Later, he even stated that GTA 6 deserves to be $100 when it arrives next year.
Interestingly, Stockman further noted that the industry following suit with a potential $100 pricing standard would be an eventual disaster.
I think GTA is the only one that can get away with it. I hope it’s $100. I think it deserves to be $100.
This particular statement has also drawn interesting reactions on social media. Many fans and developers argue that no game can justify an asking price as high as $100.
The GTA 6 Pricing Debate Has Everyone On The Edge of Their Seats
On the other hand, some even believe that Rockstar is secretly attempting to spread fear within gamers before eventually settling on the typical $70 pricing for positive press at release.
Nonetheless, GTA 6 is guaranteed to perform well at release. Even if it debuts at $100, the game will break more than a few records at release.
What do you make of the Saints Row developer’s opinion? Do you think the game would justify a $100 MSRP? Let’s discuss in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

The EU is implementing a new law requiring chargers and power adapters to use detachable USB-C cables.
This law will ban the sale of chargers that have permanently integrated (non-removable) cables.
Manufacturers must also clearly label the power rating (voltage and amperage) on both the chargers and the cables.
As technology evolves, new standards emerge for cables and wireless connectivity. We’ve seen how we got to where we are now. USB 2.0, which was the fastest available years ago, has since been replaced by USB 4, which is still uncommon, and the much more popular USB-C, which is being used in an increasing number of products.
In 2022, the European Union announced that USB-C would be essential for phones and tablets, which would take effect in 2024.
Now we have a new EU law that will require chargers and power adapters to include detachable USB-C cables. As chargers with an integrated USB-C cable cannot be sold, and we can’t remove and replace them when we want.
This is because selling a charger with the cable already integrated in this manner does not guarantee that it will operate as promised by the manufacturer. Furthermore, if it does not charge as rapidly as we would want, there is no option to exchange it for a more efficient one.
The new EU legislation seeks to tackle this issue in two ways: ensuring that the USB-C is detachable, and manufacturers should indicate the power rating of the chargers and cables included.
The rated power indicates the amount of electrical energy it can offer to a specific load and is represented by voltage and amperage. For example, we have 5V and 1A USB chargers for low-consumption devices, fast-charging chargers such as 9V/2A (18W), and chargers with the highest current.
As you can imagine, as the features increase, it becomes more obvious that they will lie about them; therefore, it is critical to ensure that what we buy is what we get, especially if it is something cheap and we do not believe it is genuine.
Chargers that deliver more than 10W will be required to achieve minimum efficiency requirements at 10% of their charge, as well as stricter average and standby efficiency standards. In addition, to avoid adding unnecessary complications, logos will most likely be added if chargers match specific requirements.
This law will apply not just to smartphone chargers, but also to external power supplies (EPS) rated up to 240W. All of this will assist consumers since they will be able to replace USB-C cables and avoid being ripped off by products that do not satisfy their requirements.
The EU also predicts that these measures will save 1,070 TWh per year by 2030, with an estimated 400 million chargers and power supply sold.

Rockstar currently employs a whopping 6000+ developers.
Among the teams working on GTA 6, Rockstar India consists of over 1600 people working on the game.
These developers are working on advanced open-world simulation, character animation, and more.
GTA 6 is said to be the biggest game in the history of this industry. Not only is the title rumored to have an unbelievably large budget at over $1 billion, but the title is also expected to break all sorts of sales records when it arrives next year.
According to reports, Rockstar has a team as large as 10,000 developers working on the latest iteration of Grand Theft Auto. Moreover, it is said that a large chunk of this team consists of Indian developers.
Why it matters: Unlike China or Korea’s developers, the Indian gaming industry is not the most famous. However, Rockstar’s Indian branch has always played a major role in the success of its titles.
GTA 6 Developer Breakdown At Different Rockstar Teams
As shared by GTA 6 Countdown, Rockstar currently employs over 6000 developers worldwide. These employees are divided between teams spread out all over the world, including cities like New York, London, and more.
For context, a team like Rockstar North employs as many as 1285 developers, while another team like Rockstar Lincoln employs 910 developers. However, none of these is comparable in size to Rockstar India.
The Indian branch of Rockstar consists of a whopping 1600+ developers, making it the largest contributor to GTA 6. Moreover, other branches of Rockstar likely consist of Indian developers as well, considering the nation’s contribution to the overall global tech industry.
This means that thousands of Indian developers are working on bringing GTA 6 to life. Because GTA 6 is said to be making use of advanced physics, environmental interactions, and more, Rockstar is pulling out all the stops with its latest release.
GTA 6 Aims For Lifelike Visuals
GTA 6 is scheduled to hit shelves later next year, and more information on the game is expected very soon. In fact, fans are anticipating a full gameplay trailer for the title next.

Mindseye promised a huge potential, but had a miserable launch due to being broken.
Former developers believe that there is no way the game can make a comeback.
The studio laid off around 300 employees after the disastrous launch.
Mindseye was supposed to be the next big video game IP in the industry. Brimming with potential with a team of former Rockstar developers, the expectations were high. The launch was instead a disaster and labeled as the worst game of the year.
Recently, some former and current Build A Rocket Boy developers lodged a mass complaint against the studio for mistreatment. The former developers also believe that Mindseye will never be able to make a huge comeback.
Why it matters: The studio CEO stated that the primary reason Mindseye failed was because of saboteurs, and the game will indeed relaunch in the future, but former studio employees think it won’t be possible.
MindsEye devs believe the game will never make a comeback
The BBC just launched a report with a deep insight into the whole drama surrounding the game. The report delves into the failed launch, the crunch the employees endured, and the working conditions in the studio.
Notably, some former Mindseye developers who talked to the BBC revealed that they believe the studio and the title will never recover from this. So, the CEO was hoping for a Cyberpunk 2077-like turnaround, but that is off the table.
They say the damage the 300 layoffs did is
They said after laying off 300 devs, there is no way it is making a comeback. They further talked about the state of the gaming industry and how everything seems to be so uncertain now, as the layoffs have a huge impact on them.
Nonetheless, the studio says the team was exceptionally talented, but the project just couldn’t take off. Former employees in their letter also said they were in a creative disagreement with the leadership, which resulted in the disaster.

Microsoft is allegedly developing emulation for ROG Ally handhelds to bring select Xbox 360 and other console games.
This will allow gamers to directly play select Xbox titles on the handhelds in the near future.
More major AAA titles like Hogwarts Legacy will also become a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program soon.
Now, the reliable insider Jez Corden reveals that Microsoft is aware of the dilemma and is already allegedly developing a solution. The company is working on official emulation technology for the new lineup that it plans to launch next year.
Why it matters: The Xbox ROG Ally getting emulation would finally resolve one of the biggest criticisms raised by gamers, letting select titles from older consoles run natively on the devices.
Insider Jez Corden claims ROG Ally handhelds will get Xbox emulation soon.
While talking on the XB2 Discord server, Jez Corden explains that Microsoft is working on an emulator that will play Xbox 360 and other console games on the handhelds. However, only a few games would be supported via emulation due to various complications.
For instance, studios would need to greenlight their titles due to licensing. Jez adds that major AAA games like Hogwarts Legacy will soon join Xbox Play Anywhere, making them playable on ASUS portables.
A job listing posted by Xbox’s next-generation vice president, Jason Ronald, earlier this yearalso massively supports these emulation claims. However, nothing has officially been confirmed by Microsoft so far.
The ROG Ally lineup falls short in visuals in many AAA titles compared to the Switch 2.
On a side note, Jez Corden mentions that a future ‘Xbox PC’ OEM device is also in development that runs Windows without full backward compatibility. Additionally, a lot more Xbox hardware is allegedly planned for the next few years.
Do you think the Xbox ROG Ally lineup will finally have its biggest weakness squashed with emulation? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

After years of hearsay, the Sleeping Dogs movie is finally one step closer to being out on the screens.
A first draft of the movie’s script has been produced by the actor Simu Liu. It has likely been sent for review.
If any studio decides to back the film, casting and filming will finally start for the movie.
A Sleeping Dogs movie has been on the minds of many gamers ever since the title launched over a decade ago. Donnie Yen of Rogue One was working on a live-action adaptation in 2017, but the project fell through.
Earlier this year, Simu Liu of Shang-Chi took it upon himself to rejuvenate the IP by creating a new Sleeping Dogs movie. Now, the adaptation has reached one vital step closer to completion, as the first draft of its script has finally been completed.
Why it matters: After the 2017 Sleeping Dogs adaptation was announced to be dead earlier this year, Simu Liu took it upon himself to write and produce the film. Now, the new adaptation seems to be progressing smoothly.
Famous actor Simu Liu has created the first draft of the Sleeping Dogs movie script as its producer.
Simu Liu has confirmed on Twitter that a draft of the script is finished and already likely sent for review. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear who is directing and writing the script, as the name of the writer is blocked in the shared image.
When questioned about how the discussions went with Square Enix, Simu elaborates that the publisher has been understanding and cooperative. However, the studios still fail to understand the value of the Sleeping Dogs IP.
[Square Enix Is] absolutely great it’s the studios that don’t seem to understand how important this IP is BUT we will get them there.
-Simu Liu, Shang-Chi actor.
If the script is approved without issues, the casting and filming will finally begin. However, the fate of the movie also depends on whether any studio decides to back it up, and Simu Liu’s wording suggests he’s facing difficulties in this process.
Sleeping Dogs is one of the most beloved GTA-like open-world games out there.

At Tech4Gamers, I take on the role of Hardware Reviewer with pride. My responsibilities involve a thorough examination of essential hardware components like motherboards, graphics cards, processors, PC cases, and CPU coolers, among others, focusing on their complexities and functionalities.
Teamgroup T-Create series of memory kits are aimed at professionals, content creators, heavy data workloads, workstations, etc. There are three main categories under the T-Create emblem:
Master
Classic
Expert
The Master series aims at the heavy workstation loads where error correction is of utmost importance. The Classic series is a mainstream option for users who like to experience this rich performance for regular use. The Expert series sits between the Master and Classic and is best suited for content creators and other professionals.
Why Trust Tech4Gamers
Nauman Siddique is our hardware expert who has been testing graphics cards, motherboards, processors, and AIOs for more than a decade.
70+ RAM tested and reviewed by our team of hardware experts (Tech4Gamers Team).
200+ hours spent testing different RAM kits for our reviews.
At Tech4Gamers, ensuring you get reliable information is our priority. That’s why every hardware round-up undergoes a meticulous review process by our team of experts and editors. Each review is carefully examined against our strict editorial guidelines, guaranteeing you trustworthy insights you can depend on.
I am taking a look at the Expert series from TeamGroup. The kit under discussion is Expert 2x16GB operating at 6400MHz CL32. I remember requesting 6400MHz CL30 for testing. This kit comes with Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles with the same programming parameters. The overall design of these kits is quite appealing, and they are best suited to my taste.
This kit retails at USD 189.99 at the time of this writing. It is available at Micro Centre and B&H Photo Video Audio centres. It is out of stock everywhere else.
The T-Create Expert 2x16GB DDR5 kit, operating at 6400MHz CL32, is a no-frills, full-performance kit that would be handy for both AMD and Intel platforms. Spend some time tweaking the timings, and your AMD platform will appreciate the effort. What makes this kit even more potent is its overclocking potential. You can’t go wrong with this kit.
Packing Box
The kit comes in a standard paperboard packing box. We have got the white edition. The memory modules are nicely tucked inside the transparent container. Teamgroup has provided a sticker as well.
Design
Let’s start with stating the salient features of the kit:
Intel XMP 3.0
AMD EXPO
High Quality, hand-picked ICs
On-Die ECC Correction
Porous Single Piece Aluminum Heat spreader
Customized High-Temperature Resistant Capacitor
10 Layer PCB Design
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Rigorously Tested
The white color heatspreader is visible in the picture. TC stands for T-Create, which is a Teamgroup brand for the memory solution. DDR5 Expert is printed over the lower right-hand side. There is nothing else on the front side. This kit is a unbuffered DIMM with a 288-pin layout. Each module has 1Rx,8, meaning a single rank design using eight modules.
There is a curve layout on the lower edges that complements the overall look and feel of these kits. We can also spot the black color PCB under the heat spreader. These kits are made in Taiwan. These kits have on-die ECC, which comes in handy for real-time data correction.
The front and back have the same layout. You can see a label on the backside showing the serial number, part number, and related data of the module. Removing this sticker would void the warranty. We can see the low-profile design of these modules.
The height of a single module is merely 32mm, which makes it compatible with many air coolers in the market. CTCWD516G6400HC32ABK is a part number of the kit. However, the part number on the packing box is CTCWD532G6400HC32ADC01.
What I really like about the T-Create series DDR5 kits is the simple design on the top. The kit does not come equipped with ARGB LEDs, hence nothing fancy is on top. T-Create brand in gold can be seen in the center. The heatspreader has a rough feel to it, which is because the manufacturer has used a porous single piece of aluminum for this heatsink.
I have used AIDA64 and HWInfo64 in an effort to read some hardware data since Thaiphoon burner could not read the bus. Teamgroup is a manufacturer of this kit. Memory chips are from SK Hynix (A-Die).
The PMIC controller is from Richtek, having a part number of PMIC5100 (JESD301-2). SPD manufacturer is RENESAS (IDT). This kit is manufactured in the 33rd Week of 2025, meaning it is manufactured in August 2025.
The PMCI chip has 4x memory chips on the left and 4x on the right. This gives a 16GB capacity overall in 1Rx8 using a 2G x 64-bit design. This kit has Intel XMP Revision 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles programmed. Both profiles have the same parameters:
I am showing the HWInfo64 run above. You can see that this software is reading the temperature from both modules, which indicates that there are temperature sensors integrated in the SPD Device Hub on these modules. However, Sensors 0 and 1 are both reported as not present in the information of the SPD.
Testing
We are using the following configuration for RAM testing:
Thermaltake Core P6 TG Snow Edition in an open frame layout
The following software has been used for the testing:
AIDA64 Engineer
SiSoftware Sandra Suite
Performance Test
3DMark Time Spy
Super Pi
BIOS Run
BIOS Walkthrough
1 of 4
The kit has two XMP and EXPO profiles. The programming is accurate, and the motherboard, on auto, picked up the programmed data.
CPU-Z
The above is a CPU-Z screenshot. Looking closely, you will notice that the software is reporting the kit to be in quad-channel configuration. The reason for that is that with DDR5 kits, we have two channels per module, each being 32-bit wide.

Should You Buy It?
Buy It If
✅You are a content creator: The Expert series of Desktop DDR5 kits is best suited for those who want no-frills, high-performance, and durable memory products to last longer and work without a hitch.
✅You are a workstation user: Even though Teamgroup has Master series for the workstation-grade work, this does not forbid users who would want to use Expert series desktop memory kits in their low to medium-grade workstations.
✅RAM Clearance is an issue: If you have a consideration of RAM clearance and are not into RGB lighting gimmicks, then this kit will help your situation.
Don’t Buy It If
❌You already have a DDR5 kit: If you already own a similar spec DDR5 kit, then there is no need to buy this kit.
❌You are an RGB lover: The T-Create Expert Desktop Memory is an industrial-grade solution; hence, they don’t have an RGB gimmick. Don’t buy these kits if you are into RGB lighting and want to pop the build out from balanced RGB lighting.
Summary
Teamgroup’s T-Create line of DDR5 memory kits is best aimed towards content creators, professionals, and heavy data users. These kits are not an ordinary solution. These kits are available in three categories: Master, Classic, and Expert. These are available in binary and non-binary configurations in different capacities.
I have tested Expert DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MT/s CAS32. This kit has a low-profile design standing at 32mm height. This kit has a porous, single-piece aluminum-made heat spreader combined with high thermally conductive thermal pads for effective cooling.
Teamgroup has kept the design no-frills and basic. This is understandable given the target audience. Look for T-Force if you are into gaming and want RGB lighting kits. Xbox president says Asus was the one who set the $1000 price tag for Xbox Ally X.
She says the company knew the market well and knew what the fans wanted.
Bond said that the decision was right as the handheld has shown solid sales figures.
ROG Xbox Ally is one of the hottest topics in the gaming industry. The handheld is a revolutionary release in the handheld space, offering performance never seen before, but it has a huge drawback: it is incredibly expensive.
The Xbox Ally X comes in at a whopping $1000, and the Xbox chief has revealed that Asus is the reason for the steep price. It has received a lot of criticism for it, considering the price is significantly higher than any of the competition.
Why it matters: While it does provide incredible gaming performance for a handheld PC, fans argue that they can get better value by just buying a PS5 along with a Steam Deck for less than the MSRP of the Ally.
Xbox chief says Xbox Ally X pricing decision was Asus’
Speaking to Variety, Xbox president Sarah Bond revealed that Asus pushed the high price for Xbox Ally X. She said that because it was their hardware and they knew the market, it was ultimately their decision to make.
That is all of their (Asus) insight into the market, into the feature set, into what people want, to determine the ultimate prices of the devices

However, both wanted to give people multiple options; therefore, they also released a lower-powered base Xbox Ally for $599. She said the price was the right decision as the pre-orders immediately sold out.
Despite the high price, the handheld has been praised for its great gaming experience
Bond says people really liked the device, and she thinks it provides great value for money despite the $1000 MSRP. And rightfully so, the Xbox Ally X has been selling like hot cakes and even sold it black market for $2500.
The majority of the critics have also praised the handheld, and Time Magazine even called it one of the best inventions of 2025. However, there is still the discourse that it’s still more of an Asus product rather than Xbox.
