The ASUS TUF series of products has been a fan-favorite over the past few years, thanks to the simplistic approach that ASUS has taken in the design and operation of these products. The ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4060 Ti OC is a continuation of that same trend, as it carries forward the minimalistic and robust theme that is so recognizable in TUF products.

Under the massive fan shroud, the TUF Gaming RTX 4060 Ti packs an immense heatsink assembly. The fin array encompasses the majority of the card’s 3.12-slot thickness, which is good news for the thermals of the card. The majority of the aluminum heatsink is in direct contact with copper heat pipes, 4 of which are present in the heatsink array of the graphics card. These heat pipes improve heat dissipation by spreading the heat over a massive surface area.

Of course, the heatsink array is only one part of the cooling solution. ASUS has also used 3 Axial Tech fans to provide the airflow that helps to dissipate the heat even quicker. The new dual ball-bearing design allows the Axial Tech fans to propel 21% more air through the heatsink array, thus improving airflow and subsequently lowering GPU temperatures. The fans can also turn off completely when the GPU is under 50 degrees Celcius, improving acoustics even further.

A highlight feature of the ASUS TUF graphics cards is their excellent reliability and durability. The capacitors on the PCB of the RTX 4060 Ti edition have been rated for 20,000 hours of operation at 105 Celcius, thus improving the temperature tolerance and durability of the capacitors. Moreover, the overall build quality of the card is quite impressive, with strong materials used throughout the product and a metal backplate that feels quite sturdy.

The card does come with a factory overclock to 2655 MHz, allowing you to squeeze a bit more performance out of the RTX 4060 Ti GPU. The ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4060 Ti also features a +25% on the power limiter, which is a helpful addition in case you want to manually overclock your graphics card. The robust 6+1 phase VRM is more than capable of handling the RTX 4060 Ti at overclocked settings.

Aesthetically, the TUF Gaming RTX 4060 Ti is a bit underwhelming. It carries the same rugged design language that is rampant throughout the TUF lineup, and while the design is understated and inoffensive, it is by no means a standout in this department. The RGB lighting is quite limited, but you can still configure it with the ASUS AURA Sync software.

In terms of value, the TUF Gaming RTX 4060 Ti is not exactly the best of the bunch. While the TUF Gaming products have classically been exceptional performers in terms of value, this particular iteration slightly fails to hold up the same standard. While this OC variant is a bit more expensive than comparable models on the market, it does deliver exceptional performance in all departments, so it is definitely worth considering.
