Bungie Shrinking Further As Devs Moving To Other PlayStation Projects

Story Highlight
  • A big chunk of Bungie has been absorbed again as its strategic partnership team joins PlayStation.
  • The developers are now under PlayStation’s franchise development and portfolio strategy division.
  • Fans are worried that Bungie could shrink further and get absorbed into PlayStation at this rate.

Bungie is one of those first-party PlayStation studios that have failed to deliver to this generation. Its live-service title, Destiny 2, has been getting constant updates and expansions over the years, but fans have grown tired. The studio announced its new first-person shooter this year, Marathon. While the playtest impressions have been positive, the community is still doubtful about how well it holds up.

Now, the studio is shrinking further at Sony, as a whole team of developers has moved to work on other PlayStation projects. Its strategic partnership team has switched to PlayStation.

Why it matters: A whole Bungie team of developers switching over to PlayStation suggests the studio is having a hard time. Additionally, PlayStation might have many titles in the works that need these developers.

Bungie's whole strategic partnership team has now switched over to a PlayStation division.
Bungie’s whole strategic partnership team has now switched over to a PlayStation division.

As announced by strategic partnership team leader Joss Price on LinkedIn, the entire bunch will now work under PlayStation’s franchise development and portfolio strategy division. The team will help ‘transform PlayStation’s global portfolio of gaming IP into entertainment franchises.’

After three amazing years at Bungie, my team has transitioned across to the mothership at PlayStation.

Many Bungie fans are concerned, as this is not the first time such a big chunk of Bungie has been absorbed into PlayStation or got laid off entirely

Marathon
Marathon’s development has also not been going smoothly, according to rumors.

All in all, everything for Bungie depends on how well Marathon performs. The studio was also recently in the spotlight for hiring fans to work on its games for less pay, which caused further criticism.

Do you think such a huge part of Bungie joining PlayStation’s major division is a sign of many things to come, or is it a nothing burger? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the official Tech4Gamers forum.

PC Game Pass Could Be Coming To Steam, Suggests Rumor

Story Highlight
  • A new rumor suggests that PC Game Pass could be heading over to Steam.
  • Gabe Newell has previously shown interest in working with Microsoft.
  • This is strictly a rumor for now, as none of the companies have confirmed it.

Game Pass has been one of Xbox’s strengths in the past few years. Amid failing console sales, the subscription service is keeping the platform going, especially since the release of Call of Duty games on Game Pass.

A new rumor suggests that Microsoft could be teaming up with Steam to make the service available to an even wider audience.

Why it matters: Game Pass on Steam would benefit both platforms as this will allow a huge influx of new players.

Rumor suggests Game Pass could be coming to Steam

According to leaker extas1s, in the last few hours, there have been certain hints that Game Pass could soon be coming to Steam. The official announcement could be made at the Xbox Direct rumored to be happening in January.

The leaker further states that the whole scenario does make sense, as Valve CEO Gabe Newell has previously shown his intent to work with Microsoft. So, this could mean that both companies have finally struck a collaboration deal.

Steam hit a new record for concurrent players, with over 37 million

Furthermore, Steam is no stranger to partnerships. It already has an integration with EA Play, which makes the Game Pass addition just the cherry on top. This will also allow gamers to have an even better experience on Steam.

The platform has enjoyed a great year, with it hitting its record concurrent player count in 2024. Furthermore, it is also rumored to be working on the next mainline entry to its popular Half-Life franchise

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s First Patch Is A Huge Step In The Right Direction

Story Highlight
  • Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s first major patch has come with a myriad of fixes.
  • It improves core gameplay mechanics, brings quality-of-life changes, and more.
  • More changes are needed, but the future looks more promising than ever.

In the build-up to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s release, Spike Chunsoft seemingly had an infallible arena fighter on its hand. I’ll be the first to admit that I was a bit too quick to praise the game’s strengths and completely ignored its shortcomings.

A month later, the same sentiment did not hold true. Between the endless vanish wars, insta-spark spam, unblockable ultimates, and everything else, it didn’t take long to see that Sparking Zero was a flawed albeit incredibly fun and exciting Dragon Ball gaming adaptation.

Much to my surprise, Spike Chunsoft has been quick to address many of these concerns, showing immense potential for the future. If nothing else, this first patch is just one of many steps toward the team’s ambitions to make Sparking Zero the best Dragon Ball game of all time.

Why it matters: Like past Bandai Namco titles, Sparking Zero can easily live on for many years. Spike Chunsoft’s willingness to listen to the community is a huge green flag and teases the promise of better things for this arena fighter.

Aiming For Perfection

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Unlike Cell, Sparking Zero has yet to achieve perfection, but it’s getting there. Spike Chunsoft’s first major patch has addressed practically all the glaring issues with the game, leaving all types of fans excited.

After spending close to 100 hours with online battles, I quickly grew tired of the unskippable intro cutscenes at the beginning of each match. These are great to watch initially, but they get really old during long sets, particularly for characters like Ultra Instinct Goku.

Fortunately, the game now allows you to skip through these intros at the press of a button. The character select screen is also more organized following the patch, harkening back to the classic style of condensed character icons from Tenkaichi 3.

These quality-of-life changes are small but make a notable impact on the end-user experience. Moving on to the gameplay, Spike Chunsoft has finally fixed the monotonous vanish wars.

This mechanic is actually exciting and intense now since each subsequent vanish is sped up, rewarding careful timing instead of killing the entire pace of a match. Unblockable ultimates have also been nerfed in numerous ways, with attacks like Broly and Gohan’s most powerful blasts being significantly slower now.

Instant spark is still there and remains a powerful mechanic, but its skill cost has been raised by one point. This, combined with the changes to vanishing, means that instant spark doesn’t show up nearly as frequently online.

Elsewhere, you can finally move while deflecting ki blasts, eliminating guaranteed setups into unblockable ultimates. Another annoying element, the lock-on mechanic, has been fine-tuned to near perfection.

Characters no longer lose sight of swapped opponents, and they are generally much quicker to find enemies upon losing track of them. Rage-quitters are also being punished now, something that even fighting games like Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 have struggled with.

A Greater Focus On Melee Combat

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Players Are Now Incentivized To Engage In Close-Ranged Combat | Image via Tech4Gamers

Ultimately, these changes have moved the game closer to the melee combat of Dragon Ball. Where players would previously abuse instant spark and spam blasts from afar, they are now encouraged to engage in close-range combat.

This makes for frenetic fights that constantly go back and forth. Players can no longer rely on get-out-of-jail-free cards like Afterimage Strike, either, allowing the core combat to shine on its own.

This is also where Spike Chunsoft’s new damage scaling comes in. I was always of the opinion that characters died too quickly in Sparking Zero, but the combination of these changes means that this is no longer as big of a concern.

Melee combos are now scaled more harshly, super and ultimate extensions at the end of combos don’t do nearly as much damage, and the lack of insta spark spam makes it rare to see ultimate over and over again.

Moreover, players can no longer pick Android 19 or 20 and just run away for an entire match. All of this has positively impacted the game’s community, and I’ve noticed more and more people rapidly improving at the core combat this past week. At this rate, Sparking Zero will soon reach its full potential.

Break Through The Limit

As I said earlier, this patch isn’t perfect. In fact, it introduced a few new problems to Sparking Zero, somewhat diminishing the excitement.

For a while, DP battles were plagued with a bug that restored characters to full health when they were swapped in during the last minute of gameplay. Thankfully, this major problem has already been addressed in a follow-up patch launched on December 20, but there are still problems to be fixed.

Players have noted a tangible sense of delay to melee combo inputs after the patch. The changes to Z Burst Dash have also garnered mixed reactions, making it a bit tricky to close the distance from afar.

This is far from everything that deserves Spike’s attention, but these issues aren’t nearly as problematic as the core problems of Sparking Zero.

By and large, the first patch has pushed the game to greater heights, and things will only get better from here. If this first patch is any indication, Dragon Ball fans are in for a treat.

Fans Worried As Borderlands 4 Confirmed To Be Using Unreal Engine 5

Story Highlight
  • Gearbox Software has confirmed that Borderlands 4 is built using Unreal Engine 5 and supports cross-play.
  • Some fans are worried that UE5 might cause potential stutters and bad optimization in the game.
  • Unreal Engine 5 has become notorious over the years for causing optimization issues in big games.

Borderlands 4 was officially teased earlier this year after the gargantuan box office flop to instill hope in franchise fans. Since then, the excitement for the entry has slowly been bubbling—especially after the first official gameplay trailer. So, the expectations for Borderlands 4 are at an all-time high right now. However, a new finding suggests the game might suffer from stutters and bad optimization.

Gearbox Software has confirmed that Borderlands 4 is built using Unreal Engine 5. This tidbit has made many players happy, but some are also concerned that UE5 might lead to many issues.

Why it matters: UE5 is one of the most regarded game engines, but it also causes stutters and bad optimization in games. Fans worry Borderlands 4 might suffer the same dilemma.

In an interview with Famitsu, Borderlands 4 project producer Anthony Nicholson’s latest Borderlands 4 tidbit has made fans think UE5 might cause the entry to need high system requirements just to run without problems, while others worry about performance issues.

Thanks to Unreal Engine 5 […], we are able to design each area of the world, even though it is this [Huge] size, […] so that players can do more while they are exploring.

All in all, it is best to take the anxieties of potential micro-stuttering and bad optimization with a grain of salt. Despite many janky releases, some titles, like Marvel Rivals, have not suffered from the alleged issues caused by UE5.

Borderlands 4 is expected to launch sometime next year for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, but a release date is still unclear.

Do you think Borderlands 4 using Unreal Engine 5 will prove to be a problem down the road, or are these fans concerned over nothing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the official Tech4Gamers forum.

Intergalactic Actress Praises Neil Druckmann; Calls Him Video Game God

Story Highlight
  • The intergalactic actress calls Neil Druckmann the God of video games.
  • She says it was a true dream to work as the protagonist of a Naughty Dog game.
  • The game isn’t off to a great start, with many calling for DEI implementation.

Tati Gabrielle, the actress who plays the protagonist in Naughty Dog’s latest IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, has praised Neil Druckmann. She says it was a dream come true when she landed the role, especially to work with Druckmann.

Why it matters: Neil Druckmann has not enjoyed a very good reputation over the past few years. Fans had been looking forward to the new IP but were disappointed when it was announced.

Intergalactic actress calls Neil Druckmann video game God

However, Gabrielle has nothing but praise for the Naughty Dog director. She said she couldn’t even imagine getting a role in the Uncharted movie, let alone being a protagonist in a video game. This has left her inner child in awe

I am immensely grateful and excited for this opportunity to work on this game and with the god of video games himself, Neil Druckmann

– Tati Gabrielle

Gabrielle has, of course, already worked on previous Naughty Dog projects. She was the main antagonist in the Uncharted movie and will play Nora in TLOU season 2. Now, she joins a star-studded cast that includes Kumail Nanjiani, Troy Baker, and more with Intergalactic.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is Naughty Dog’s latest IP

The actress expressed gratitude for the opportunity and called Neil Druckmann ‘The God of Video Games.’ However, fans don’t seem to share this sentiment, as Intergalactic’s trailer has already exceeded the YouTube disliked record previously held by Concord.

Naughty Dog hasn’t had much eventful in recent years, either. Once a critically acclaimed studio with hits like Uncharted, Jak and Daxter, and TLOU, all the studio has done in the past is focus on unwanted remasters

With Intergalactic, the studio wanted to win back its audience, but unfortunately, this has worked against them. Nonetheless, we’ll be heading into Intergalactic with an open mind, but the game has already damaged the studio’s reputation.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Director Blames “Hate Campaign” For RPG’s Failure

Story Highlight
  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard has attracted all types of criticism since its release in October.
  • The director has recently discussed the social media discourse around this RPG, blaming polarized times for the hate campaign.
  • Despite the backlash, she believes that diversity is extremely important for games.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard seems to have been a major disappointment. Despite solid reviews and encouraging day-one player counts, the RPG has failed to live up to its predecessors, whether it be in commercial performance or fanfare.

While there are multiple reasons for the lack of excitement around Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the director seems to believe that one key reason is a hate campaign from a vocal part of the gaming community.

Why it matters: Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been lambasted for featuring excessive diversity and inclusivity. This focus, according to many gamers, has done more harm than good to the RPG.

Speaking to Inverse, Corinne Busche, the director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, addressed the recent criticisms of BioWare’s latest release. She discussed the recent Metacritic review bombing and discourse on social media, claiming that these events can be attributed to today’s polarizing times.

As per the director, diversity and inclusivity are inherently important to games. She also states that eliminating this focus would result in less relatable games, which is exactly why the team focused on exploring characters and their identities.

According to Corinne Busche, Dragon Age’s progressive nature meant that the tagline for the latest entry became: Be who you want to be. However, the team may have pushed too far in one direction, leading to significant backlash.

I think the discourse we see is the result of highly polarized times.

-Corinne Busche

Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Has Quickly Fallen Off Everyone’s Radars

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has yet to receive an official sales update from EA or BioWare in the two months the game has been out. The RPG has reportedly sold a million units, but this is unlikely to be enough to justify the costs of today’s AAA productions.

What are your thoughts on the RPG’s performance? Do you think it failed due to a hate campaign on social media? Let us know in the comments, and visit the Tech4Gamers Forums for more discussions.

PS5 Pro With PSSR Can’t Maintain 60 FPS In Space Marine 2

Story Highlight
  • Digital Foundry recently released a tech review of Space Marine 2 for PS5 Pro, base PS5, and Xbox Series X.
  • The review concluded that PS5 Pro can’t maintain 60 FPS in the game even with PSSR.
  • In some cases, the Xbox Series X can also have some advantages over the pro console, but overall, the latter is better.

It has been well over a month since the controversial PS5 Pro was released. While the console seems to have sold well, its reception wasn’t that positive in the beginning. The PSSR, Sony’s new AI technology, has been praised by many, but it still needs a lot of work.

Just recently, patch 1.5 for Space Marine 2 was released, so Digital Foundry decided to do a tech review for the mid-gen refresh, PS5 base console, and Xbox Series X. The review revealed some interesting details, one of the main ones being PS5 Pro’s failure to maintain 60FPS.

Why it matters: There have been many instances where the pro variant can’t maintain 60FPS in games. Experts even revealed that it can’t run games like Baldur’s Gate 3, which are CPU intensive at 60FPS.

The PS5 Pro can have a noticeable performance boost over the base console in Space Marine 2, but it still can’t maintain 60 FPS. In some instances, the frame rates are abysmal, dropping to almost 40.

Even the opening cutscene has many drops in FPS. When facing a huge swarm of enemies, both the base console and the mid-gen refresh struggle to get close to 50FPS.

The frame rates on the former can be seen dropping to 35, while the latter can stay over 40. This is still not close to an ideal 60FPS experience, which might disappoint many. However, the pro does offer better resolution and image quality than the base version.

Another thing that might surprise fans is that, in one instance, the Xbox Series X has a 5 FPS advantage over the PS5 Pro in Space Marine 2. After patch 1.5, the Xbox Series X can be seen having an advantage over the PS5 Pro, but in most cases, the latter prevails.

All in all, the mid-gen refresh fails to maintain 60 FPS in many other games, so it might not be surprising anymore.

What do you think about Sony’s latest mid-gen refresh’s inability to maintain 60FPS in Space Marine 2? Do you think the pro variant is worth its price tag? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below or join the official Tech4Gamers forums for discussion.

Xbox Will Only Release Exclusives If It Doesn’t Have Resources For PS5 Port, Says Insider

Story Highlight
  • An insider reports that exclusives will be the exception rather than the norm for Xbox.
  • He states that day-one third-party releases will be skipped only when circumstances prevent a proper port.
  • The gaming giant has yet to fully confirm third-party releases for its titles.

The era of Xbox exclusives seems to be behind us. With major titles like Doom: The Dark Ages launching on the PS5 from the beginning, Microsoft seems all but certain to release every game from its studios on rival consoles.

The gaming giant has still pointed to a case-by-case approach for exclusives, but an insider says the actual approach will be different. As per his sources, Xbox will only launch exclusives if it faces challenges with a multiplatform release initially.

Why it matters: Xbox previously stated that third-party releases would not be universal for all its games. This report seems to contradict that narrative.

During the latest Xbox Two podcast, reliable leaker Jez Corden suggested that there is more to Xbox’s case-by-case strategy than meets the eye. He claims that exclusives will become the exception rather than the norm and will only be released when circumstances prevent Xbox from launching on different platforms.

These circumstances could range from the lack of development time to the unavailability of support studios for a third-party port. Whatever the case, the insider says Xbox will not release games as exclusives based on its own decision.

It’s not gonna be a result of we wanted to keep Xbox fans happy.

-Jez Corden

As mentioned earlier, this report directly contradicts Xbox’s statements. Previously, Matt Booty claimed that Xbox wanted the best possible experience for its fans with Indiana Jones before considering the PS5 port.

Still, Xbox has been known to retract its statements, so the contradiction here is not too shocking.

Satya Nadella
Satya Nadella Is Satisfied With Microsoft’s Current Gaming Strategy

This approach would make Xbox the only one of the three console manufacturers to support all platforms simultaneously, making it more akin to Sega than PlayStation or Nintendo.

What are your thoughts on Xbox foregoing exclusives altogether? Do you think this strategy will help the brand move forward? Share your opinions in the comments, and visit the Tech4Gamers Forums for further discussions.

Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Pro Patch Unlikely; Due To Limited Visual Improvements on Console

Story Highlight
  • Cyberpunk 2077 will not be receiving a PS5 Pro patch.
  • Analysts believe this decision was made since CDPR would have struggled to improve the game meaningfully.
  • Major improvements would have required too much effort from the studio.

Sony released the PS5 Pro a few months back for an exorbitant $700 price point. Since then, many studios have been quick to support the console with updates that utilize the new hardware, but one major team has been missing.

Cyberpunk 2077 has yet to receive PS5 Pro enhancements, and CDPR has no plans to patch the game. Analysts say this decision was likely made because there is no feasible way to improve the RPG’s image quality on the console.

Why it matters: The PS5 Pro boasts PSSR, PlayStation’s proprietary AI-based upscaling technology that is said to be on par with Nvidia’s DLSS.

The team at Digital Foundry recently discussed CDPR’s decision to skip a PS5 Pro patch for Cyberpunk 2077.

I don’t think there’s a great path to enhance image quality.

They argue that CDPR could have done little to enhance the game’s visuals on this hardware. The biggest improvement could have been made by utilizing the new GPU hardware for improved dynamic resolution, but this is something the PS5 Pro already does automatically when running the base PS5 version.

Cyberpunk 2077 could also benefit from enhanced ray tracing on the PS5 Pro, but this update would require significant effort from CDPR. As per the analysts, the team would need to work on an SDK update to pursue improved ray tracing.

It’s (Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 Pro) in a pretty good state as it is. It’s a nice to have, but not an essential.

-Digital Foundry

While a patch would have marked a shift from FSR to PSSR, the analysts conclude that image quality is already good enough. The amount of effort required to bring notable improvements would, therefore, not be worth it.

CDPR is also currently busy with The Witcher 4, pursuing its ambitious take on the IP’s fourth mainline entry. As such, a PS5 Pro patch for older titles is likely to be the least of its concerns for the time being.

What are your thoughts on the discussion? Do you still want a PS5 Pro patch for Cyberpunk 2077? Let us know in the comments, and share your thoughts on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

Video Games Make Holidays Much More Fun

Don’t just stick to video gaming, you can pair it up with practical, useful applications. For an idea, you can assign tasks to those who lose, like the last one to finish has to bake the holiday cookies. Or the losing team has to put up the Christmas decorations for the holiday season.

And I know that video games can get highly competitive at times. So, remember to keep the atmosphere healthy and inclusive. The sole idea of this is to bring the family together for shared laughs and unforgettable times that you can treasure all year round.

Best Superhero Games To Buy During The Holidays This Year

Story Highlight
  • Gamers have plenty of choices when it comes to superhero games today.
  • The Batman Arkham trilogy, Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, and more should prove to be great games to play during the holidays.
  • Many anticipate superhero titles will also be coming out in the future.

The excitement around superheroes was at an all-time high a few years back, slowly dwindling after Marvel’s epic conclusion of the Infinity saga. The gaming industry also saw its fair share of superhero hits around this time, with modern titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 carrying forward this legacy.

If you’ve been away from the genre for some time and hope to scratch the superhero game itch, there is no shortage of options. Whether it be DC or Marvel comics, the industry has something for nearly everyone on modern systems.

Also, since many of these games are a few years old, you can consult a third-party site like G2A, which has a dedicated superhero section, for dirt-cheap prices on some of the industry’s biggest gems.

Why it matters: Since comic IPs and superheroes are now more popular than ever, gamers have recently taken a lot of interest in this genre.

Batman Arkham Collection

Batman Arkham Knight
Batman Arkham Knight Is Still A Gem

Batman Arkham Asylum raised the bar for superhero games, and subsequent entries continued to aim for higher heights. Between Batman Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, this trilogy is arguably the industry’s best superhero experience to date.

Throughout the series, Batman faces iconic villains, beats up thugs in a combat system that never gets old, and even rides the Batmobile throughout Gotham. Needless to say, Batman Arkham Collection is a must-play for anybody interested in the genre.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Spider-Man Remastered PC port
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Holds Up Really Well For A Six-Year-Old Game

Insomniac’s adaptation of Spider-Man is arguably the best recent representation of superhero games. An immensely satisfying traversal system, a gripping story, and hectic combat are just a few things fans can expect from Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 also coming to PC next month, there’s never been a better time to jump into this franchise.

Gotham Knights

Gotham Knights
Gotham Knights Received Mixed Reviews At Release

WB Games Montreal’s last AAA offering doesn’t immediately come to mind when thinking about superhero game recommendations. However, it has one major advantage over the aforementioned classics.

Gotham Knights allows players to team up for co-op-filled excitement and mayhem, adding a new layer to the experience. The open-world and combat system are made all the more fun when you have a buddy to tag along on the journey.

Lego Batman Trilogy

Lego Batman
The Lego Batman Series Is Just Pure Fun

The Lego games rarely disappoint, and for those seeking a more casual experience, games like Lego Batman, Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes, and Lego Batman 3 Beyond Gotham are perfect picks.

This trilogy also offers co-op gameplay, allowing you to enjoy the experience with your friends.

Superhero games have a bright future, so it may be worth catching up on the genre if you’ve missed out on a few of the recent titles.

In the coming years, games like Black Panther, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, and Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra are expected to make a huge splash in the genre. As such, there’s never been a better time to jump in and explore this part of gaming.

Nintendo Switch 2 Dock is Limited To 4K Resolution At 30FPS

Story Highlight
  • Leaked information suggests the next Nintendo Switch will support 4K resolution output when connected to its dock.
  • However, it will be limited to 30 frames per second.
  • The dock is rumored to have a higher power output (60 watts) and charging capacity (45 watts) compared to the original Switch.

Recent leaks reveal that Nintendo Switch 2, will be able to output 4K resolution at 30 FPS when docked. This information comes from a Reddit user named NextHandheld, who says they have seen the final retail version of the console.

Why it matters: If the leaks are true, it’s still quite impressive for a handheld console to deliver 4K quality visuals at 30 FPS.

Nintendo Switch 2 Render
Switch 2 is expected to surpass 17 million in sales in 2025.

The original Nintendo Switch, launched in 2017, supports 1080p when docked. The Switch 2’s upgrade to 4K resolution will greatly boost the overall visual quality. However, the 30 FPS limit may let down gamers hoping to experience 60 FPS at 4K finally.

The source also mentions that the Nintendo Switch 2 dock uses 60 watts of power and 45 watts of charging, up from the original’s 39 watts.

This suggests improved performance when docked. The dock is also said to have improved cooling features to handle the extra power.

The Switch 2 is also rumored to come with new Joy-Con controllers that attach magnetically and feature hall-effect joysticks. These joysticks are built to be more reliable and less likely to experience the drift problems that affected the original Switch controllers.

In another leak, the handheld’s full design and accessories were revealed. A certain case manufacturer casually leaked the Switch 2’s design, which revealed its dimensions and extra button on a joystick.

Nintendo Switch 2 Dbrand Leaked Design
The handheld’s design was recently leaked by a case manufacturing company.

While these leaks offer interesting details about the Switch 2, it’s important to remember that Nintendo has not confirmed anything. The company is reportedly planning to reveal the console before March 2025, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
