Final Verdict—What We Recommend?
RTX 4070 Ti: This is still one of the best cards from Nvidia which is great for 1440p and perfect for 1080p if you aim to go for higher refresh rates. However, its extremely high price doesn’t justify its performance one bit. What’s more shocking is that it’s been two years since its release and its price still hasn’t been reduced.
RTX 5070 Ti: After disappointing us so many times in our previous comparisons, the RTX 5070 Ti has finally redeemed itself. We must admit that the RTX 5070 Ti proved to be a great upgrade from the RTX 4070 Ti, with its relatively higher gaming and productivity performance as well as its reasonable price.
In conclusion, we strongly recommend you get the RTX 5070 Ti over the RTX 4070 Ti because it offers a better price-to-performance ratio. The RTX 5070 Ti’s price is expected to increase and even if it does reach a point where it’s comparable to that of the RTX 4070 Ti, it will remain a better option because it offers more.
The RTX 5070 Ti is based on the Blackwell architecture, which features better efficiency and AI-driven performance compared to the Ada-Lovelace based RTX 4070 Ti. Surely, the RTX 5070 Ti has better ray tracing performance because of its higher RT cores and use of 4th gen cores. In contrast, the RTX 4070 Ti uses 3rd gen RT cores. The newer RTX 5070 Ti supports DisplayPort 2.1b whereas the RTX 4070 Ti still uses the older 1.4a. The newer card has a better bandwidth and data transfer rate. The RTX 5070 Ti is better for AI workloads because it features 5th-gen tensor cores than RTX 4070 Ti’s 4th-gen tensor cores. The newer card also has higher tensor cores. Both the RTX 5070 Ti and the RTX 4070 Ti are better at 1440p. However, with the use of the new DLSS 4, the RTX 5070 Ti performs better at 4K than the RTX 4070 Ti. FAQs
