Powered by the ADA104 GPU, it allows users to take full advantage of NVIDIA’s new architecture at a much lower price than the flagship GPUs. Well, as you can expect, the market is filled with a ton of different RTX 4070 Ti variants, and this is where I come in. I have tested a bunch of RTX 4070 Ti variants and rounded up the best options based on performance, design, cooling, and overall pricing.

The TUF Gaming 4070 Ti presents itself in a fairly modern yet simple design, with the front shroud being enveloped in a gray finish along with an RGB strip protruding through the top-right corner of the GPU. All of its components are held into place with the Metal Exoskeleton, which guarantees effective heat dissipation thanks to its air vents. Design aside, ASUS has gone with their Axial-Tech fans. The fans have now been scaled up for a 21% increase in the overall airflow and come with Dual ball fan bearings for extra durability. There is also a rather efficient cooling system comprising six heat pipes and VRMs reinforced with thermal pads.
Its clock speeds have received a slight bump, allowing it to reach 2760 MHz in OC mode. As far as the PCB layout is concerned, ASUS has equipped the TUF Gaming NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti with Military-Grade 20K Capacitors that have a rated lifespan of 20,000 hours. For cooling, MSI has massively upped their game – you get a copper baseplate, increased air pressure for the fans, and a metal backplate to ensure effective heat dissipation. In total, MSI has installed 7x heat pipes, which can be found underneath the fan assembly.
The MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4070 Ti comes equipped with a 12-phase VRM for the GPU voltage and a three-phase design for the memory voltage. The MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4070 Ti is fairly basic in appearance and has a design similar to that of its predecessor. It comes with a three-fan design with three diagonal RGB stripes that can be seen running through the middle fan for a much more personalized experience. Its smaller overall size makes a huge difference when it comes to PC case compatibility. Unsurprisingly, the MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4070 Ti comes with the previously discussed TRI FROZR 3 cooling system comprising a nickel-plated heatsink and a total of six heat pipes. The TOXR 5.0 fans have also retained their presence with the newer edition of the card, bringing you improved airflow and higher overall air pressure.
We did observe a slight reduction in the VRM phases, with the MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4070 Ti coming with a 10+2 phase design. Boost clock speeds have also received a minor bump with the Gaming X Trio variant of the RTX 4070 Ti reaching 2760 MHz, a 5% increase over the base specifications. Speaking of clock speeds, the card can also be set to silent mode, which reduces the boost clock speed to 2745 MHz in order to maintain lower noise levels.

Its refined and sleek aesthetic seems to have carried over from the Vision lineup. Gigabyte has stayed manageable with the RGB lighting, too, only adding a single strip along with a customizable Aero logo underneath the 16-pin power connector. In terms of cooling, we get 3x 100mm fans, 7x copper heat pipes, and a vapor chamber in direct contact with the GPU. Moreover, a massive cut-out can be found on the backplate, allowing for better heat dissipation; Gigabyte refers to this as screen cooling.
The Gigabyte RTX 4070 Ti Aero might have “OC” in its name; however, a 30 MHz increase over the reference specifications is bound to make little to no difference to the actual performance of the card. However, its VRM layout is quite robust and allows you to maximize the performance of the card through overclocking.
