Why Epomaker’s Mouse Is Extremely Underrated

Story Highlights
  • Epomaker is known for their great keyboards, but they’ve come up with their first ever mouse: Epomaker Click.
  • It uses a PixArt 3915 sensor with an 8K polling rate and a 57-gram weight with a symmetric design that fits smaller to medium hands.
  • It is a great option, especially in the affordable market, because it costs only $70 and doesn’t feel entirely cheap.

Epomaker has been making waves when it comes to keyboards, with their Epomaker P65 being one of the best keyboards. But what if I tell you they’ve also made their very first mouse, the Epomaker Click.

Epomaker Click

While Epomaker has collaborated with other brands such as Ajazz to produce mice in the past, like the Epomaker X Aula SC800, they hadn’t made any mice on their own before that.

Unboxing

But that has changed after the Epomaker Click, where they’ve gone above and beyond. Right off the box, you get the standard USB Type-C cable, grip stickers, a 2.4G dongle, and a user manual.

Symmetric Design

The mouse boasts a symmetric design that fits almost all grip styles, and while it doesn’t have any ergonomic design, it still holds the thumb and the pinky finger comfortably, even in longer gaming sessions.

Better Than Viper Mini?

Taking a look at the shape, it has a slight curve in the middle to give support to your palm while holding it, and the shape strikingly resembles that of the Razer Viper Mini. However, Epomaker Click is a bit on the longer side.

With a size of 12.1*6.36*3.87cm, it fits most hand sizes and grip styles but is mostly designed for small-medium hands. If the Viper Mini was too small for you, this might be it for you.

Rigid Surface

Speaking of the surface, you don’t get any cheap feel that you get from low-quality mice. Instead, you get a matte finish throughout the entire mouse. There is any instability or cracking in the design, and when you press it firmly, you can feel how rigid it is.

Claw Grip (Image by T4G)
Claw Grip (Image Credits – Tech4Gamers)

The only downside in its design is that it flexes slightly when pressed at the bottom just above where the battery is located. But this is when you test it extremely and for most users, it will go unnoticed.

No Cheap Finish

Its matte finish is not only for the aesthetics, but it also allows for a firm grip even with sweaty hands. And the best part is that it is resistant to fingerprints. Both the left and right mouse buttons are very ergonomic.

Buttons

They are wide with a good pressure surface, which is likely designed in a curved way to fit the natural shape of a finger and provide comfort along with stability. The side buttons have a slight bump on the top side, making it easier for you to press them.

Side Buttons
Side Buttons (Image Credits – Tech4Gamers)

This bumpy design of the side button is something that you don’t normally find in other mice because it’s usually a plain button. All the buttons provide clicks that give satisfying feedback, but they do have a little bit of pre-travel.

This mouse uses Omron D2LS switches for the main buttons and green dot micro switches for the side buttons. For the scroll wheel, a yellow F switch with a green core has been used, with a micro green dot switch for the mouse scroll button.

DPI LEDs

Just below the mouse scroll wheel, you find the two DPI buttons to increase or decrease your DPI, and there is also an LED below it to indicate which DPI you’re at. I found this LED to be extremely convenient, as you immediately know your current DPI without mentally guessing it.

USB-C Port

Weight

It has a very balanced weight distribution, with its total weight being around 57 grams. The sensor position is in the middle, and it uses a PixArt 3915 sensor, which offers seamless movement and accuracy.

Polling Rate & Battery

It has a max DPI of 42,000 (and the lowest you can go is 50) with a maximum tracking speed of 750 inches per second, and with its included 2.4G dongle, it can reach up to 8000Hz of polling rate. If you don’t have a higher refresh rate monitor, going above 2000Hz won’t cut it.

It comes with a 500mAh battery, which is small enough to be lightweight but not sufficient to support weeks of gaming. On the bottom, you’ll find two large PTFE feet that are made of Teflon. These feet are well built and provide a smooth glide on any mouse pad with no friction.

Backside (Image Credits – Tech4Gamers)

Seamless Bluetooth Connectivity Across Two Devices

You can shift from 2.4G to Bluetooth with one switch of a button that is present on the right side of the sensor. And to the left side, you can switch between two Bluetooth devices with just a single press, which allows for seamless device switchability.

Verdict

This is one of the more solid mice compared to other affordable mice that are on the market, and with a price of $70, you’re getting more than enough. This is Epomaker’s first mouse, and I believe they’ll make even better ones in the future.

NVIDIA vs AMD: The Ultimate Battle for GPU Supremacy in 2025

Story Highlights
  • The Nvidia vs AMD rivalry is more intense than ever impacting developers, gamers and creators.
  • Nvidia still leads AI integration, but AMD is quickly closing the gap with smarter software and wider compatibility.
  • AMD leads in thermal and power efficiency which makes it ideal for compact and low noise setups.
  • AMD wins on value and availability whereas Nvidia offers long-term power for those that can afford to pay the premium

For many years Nvidia and AMD have been battling it out in the field of raw power, price to performance and innovation. In 2025 this rivalry has reached new heights, with both companies pushing the boundaries in AI features, architecture and power efficiency. However, when we analyze their latest offerings it’s clear that it’s not about gaming anymore the battle is for the future of computing.

AI Features Take Center Stage

Nvidia’s DLSS 4.0 continues to impress by offering stunning performance boosts through AI powered frame generation. This combined with NeuralRT for real time path tracing, Nvidia cards dominate ray tracing heavy titles. On the other hand, AMDs FSR 3.1 has made strides towards fluidity and image quality especially on midrange hardware. AMD FSR 4 is also on the horizon which will directly compete against DLSS 4.0.

Today, GPUs are not about gaming anymore. Both companies are now marketing their GPUs heavily towards AI workloads. AMDs ROCm platform is becoming more accessible especially with the rise of open-source tools, but Nvidia’s CUDA ecosystem still leads. AMD is currently making strides into researching for new upscaling techniques to rival Nvidia

Gaming Performance: Frame Wars Continue

If we talk about pure gaming horsepower Nvidia’s RTX 5090 sits at the top delivering unparalleled performance in 8k and 4k. However, AMDs Radeon RX 8900 XTX delivers almost the same performance, but at a slightly lower price.

Benchmark’s show a 5-10% lead for Nvidia at the high end but AMD is quickly closing the gap where it matters the most (price to performance). For 1080p and 1440p gamers, AMD options are compelling.

Efficiency, Thermals & Power Draw

Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture brings improved performance per-watt over Ada Lovelace. However, AMDs RDNA 4 is winning hearts with overall improved performance across the board. AMD GPUs tend to run quieter and consume less energy under high loads especially at 1440p.

Both companies now support frame generation and dynamic resolution scaling. This helps optimize thermals in real time and AMDs latest software has added user-friendly fan control and other options that are attractive to DIY builders.

Driver Ecosystem & Software Experience

Nvidia’s GeForce experience has improved significantly in 2025 with the new G Assist, but the feature is sometimes bloated and locked behind logins. On the other hand, AMDs Adrenaline Edition has improved significantly offering reliable updates, clean integration and performance monitoring without any problems.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090

One of AMDs biggest wins in 2025 is better day-zero driver support for major AAA releases which was a weak spot in previous years. Nvidia however, still has the upper hand in professional drivers for workstations.

Pricing, Availability & Future-Proofing

Recently, pricing and availability have become key battlegrounds. AMDs consistent pricing strategy and wide third-party manufacturing support make it easier to find cards at MSRP. Nvidia’s GPUs remain more expensive especially at the higher end but, often come with perks like GeForce Now credits or game bundles.

Future proofing also favors Nvidia slightly with better support for AI workloads and wide adoption by creative industries. However, AMDs value-based approach means that gamers can upgrade their build without waiting for massive price drops.

Final Thoughts

To be completely honest there is no clear winner in the GPU war of 2025, it all comes down to what you need. If you’re a competitive gamer or AI developer looking for cutting edge performance Nvidia remains king. But if you’re a budget conscious gamer or creator who values efficiency and price to value AMD is the winner offering better temps and software.

Both companies are currently making strides towards better performance and are trying to offer better value to customers. The world of gaming is continuously pushing forward and what’s driving innovation is these rivalries between competitors.

Space Marine 2 Studio Gets Unexpectedly Shut Down By Saber Interactive

Story Highlight
  • The Space Marine 2 studio, a branch of Saber Interactive, and Saber St. Petersburg, the Russian subsidiary, are in the process of being liquidated.
  • The old Saber Interactive SGS LLC legal entity is being closed by Saber’s former parent company, Embracer Group.
  • It’s unclear whether the Russian employees of Saber Interactive will be affected; they may have been moved to other legal entities.

Update: The liquidation procedure is not about the physical Saber St. Petersburg studio shutting down, but rather the old Saber Interactive SGS LLC legal entity is being closed. The closure is being handled by Saber’s former parent company, Embracer Group, and will likely not affect Russian employees of Saber Interactive – they may have been transferred to other legal entities by now.

Layoffs have become such a common issue in the gaming industry that even releasing stellar hits and amassing vast amounts of profit do not guarantee survival for studios.

Saber Interactive’s Russian branch, Saber St. Petersburg, is now in the process of being liquidated. In other words, the old legal entity is in the middle of shutting down, and all its developers will likely be laid off or transferred to other Saber branches in the process.

Why it matters: This move reflects Embracer Group’s 2024 announcement to exit Russia entirely.

As confirmed on Fedresurs, Saber Interactive’s old label is being liquidated.

As confirmed by the legal disclosures filed on the Russian Fedresurs portal, Saber Interactive’s former parent company, Embracer Group, has initiated liquidation procedures for its Russian branch.

It’s unclear why the old legal entity, Saber Interactive SGS LLC, is closing for now. The studio has developed or collaborated on several other well-received titles over the years, including World War Z, World War Z: Aftermath, Snowrunner, and Mudrunner, among others.

The broader American company, Saber Interactive, is entirely free of any danger and will remain functional through this liquidation. Amid this dilemma, the studio also revealed its new project, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 proved to be a staggering success for the franchise.

Currently, Saber Interactive has not issued any official statements regarding the liquidation of its Russian subsidiary, leaving the fate of all affected developers unclear.

Do you think the Saber St. Petersburg studio being liquidated means that its team has also been laid off, or was it absorbed into other Saber Interactive studios? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Dying Light The Beast Is Not ‘Overly Serious’; Will Prioritize Fun Gameplay Instead

Story Highlight
  • The franchise director of Dying Light: The Beast confirms that the game is not aiming for an overtly serious and philosophical tone.
  • The title will not be the most ambitious series in terms of narrative and storytelling.
  • Techland will instead focus on expanding the gameplay side of The Beast, ensuring that players have the most enjoyable experience possible.

Dying Light 2 proved to be a hit or miss for many players because it somewhat deviated from the dark narrative of the original. While Dying Light: The Beast aims to return to the series’ roots, its narrative may not be as big a focus as we’ve been led to believe until now.

The game’s franchise director, Tymon Smektala, now confirms that Techland is not trying to create the most ambitious narrative series with Dying Light: The Beast. In other words, there won’t be overtly serious and philosophical tones during gameplay.

Why it matters: Most footage of Dying Light: The Beast hints at a darker tone than Dying Light 2, but Techland clarifies that the focus is on fun gameplay.

Dying Light: The Beast will feature Kyle Crane as the protagonist

In an interview with GamesRadar, the director states that Techland aims to focus on delivering fun gameplay rather than posing moral questions to players. However, there will still be unique characters and a plotline filled with twists and turns.

it’s much easier for us – and kind of more meaningful – to expand and grow on the gameplay side. I don’t think we need to be the most ambitious series, narratively.

Tymon admits that Dying Light 2 lost the edge for loyal fans because it ditched the dark tones to focus on survival elements. So, Dying Light: The Beast will focus on narrative aspects by having a linear story, alongside fun gameplay mechanics.

We are making games which are first and foremost about really cool gameplay, cool characters. I think overtly serious will not work for Dying Light as a series so I think we’ll continue on that path.

Dying Light: The Beast has evolved to become a full-fledged AAA experience.

Dying Light: The Beast is set to launch on August 22, 2025, for current-gen consoles and PC.

Do you think Dying Light: The Beast will still deliver excellent storytelling despite Techland’s focus on fun gameplay? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Little Nightmares Dev Laying Off Over 10% Employees, Directive 8020 Delayed To 2026

Story Highlight
  • The developer behind Little Nightmares has announced laying off 36 employees.
  • Those affected will receive full support from the developer.
  • Directive 8020 has been delayed to the first half of 2026, and Little Nightmares 3’s development has not been affected.

Layoffs have become increasingly common in the gaming industry, which is a concerning factor. Microsoft has recently laid off 9,000 employees, sparking a massive controversy. Many games were affected, and some were even cancelled.

Following that, other developers, such as Spider Games, have also announced layoffs. Now, another one has joined the trend. The developer behind Little Nightmares has announced that it will be laying off over 10% of its employees

Why it matters: Employees randomly losing their jobs is unfair, but this has become a norm in the market, and little can be done to change it.

Supermassive Games Layoffs
Supermassive Games Layoffs Has Announced Layoffs And the Delay of Directive 8020

Supermassive Games, the developer behind Little Nightmares, has just announced on Twitter that it will be laying off 36 employees

The games industry remains a challenging and ever-evolving environment. As we adapt our team structure to better align with these changes, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to begin a redundancy consultation process where we anticipate losing up to 36 of our colleagues.

While this is a pretty unfortunate and difficult decision, the studio will offer its full support to those who will be affected. This will help them get back on their feet, which is a good initiative.

Despite the developer laying off over 10% of its employees, it doesn’t seem like any of the project is affected negatively. However, it should be noted that the survival horror title, Directive 8020, which was set to release on October 2, 2025, has been moved to the first half of 2026

As the response to the game has been generally positive from fans, the developer wants to provide them with the best experience. It should also be noted that there is no impact on the development of Little Nightmares 3.

What are your thoughts on another developer joining the layoffs trend? Were you excited about the launch of Directive 8020? Are you disappointed with the delay? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below or join the official Tech4Gamers forums for discussion.

Saber Interactive Has Announced Its New Title, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival

Story Highlight
  • Saber Interactive has announced its new single-player title, Hellraiser: Revival.
  • It brings the infamous franchise of the late 1980s to life with first-person gameplay.
  • The trailer shows a mix of scary cinematics and brutal gameplay.

Hellraiser was one of the most disturbing and horrific movies of the late 1980s. Directed by Clive Barker, it captured the feelings of helplessness and being chased by demonic entities flawlessly, and that is now being translated into a game.

Saber Interactive has announced its new title, Hellraiser: Revival, a single-player, first-person title, with Doug Bradley returning for the role of Pinhead after almost 20 years.

Why it matters: The horror genre is on a roll with Resident Evil 9 and Silent Hill f already announced. With Hellraiser, fans are looking at a popular franchise returning in the form of a game after 2022’s flopped reboot.

The trailer is every bit as scary and tense as you would expect. It’s a mix of cinematics and gameplay, so we get a good idea of what the actual game will look like. The title follows the story of Aidan, who has to save his girlfriend from a hellish abyss.

You must unlock the powers of the Genesis Configuration and harness the box’s abilities to survive your pact with Pinhead. The gameplay looks brutal, and we also see some familiar faces, including Cenobites and Pinhead’s worshippers.

Doug Bradley returns as Pinhead in over 20 years

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a release window as of yet, but it can be wishlisted now. Hellraiser: Revival will be available on all major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Stop Killing Games Fears Getting Shut Down With False Claims As The Industry Is Playing Dirty

Story Highlight
  • Stop Killing Games petition has reached a whopping 1.4 million.
  • It has become so large that the industry is resorting to underhanded tactics to shut it down.
  • An anonymous complainant accused the moment of violating two of the EU regulations.

The Stop Killing Games campaign recently gained popularity as some titles were shut down by prominent publishers. One of those titles is The Crew, which was taken offline by Ubisoft which causing a massive controversy.

The gaming giant has even faced a lawsuit, which is still ongoing. Therefore, EU citizens started a campaign to urge publishers to stop shutting down games. However, most major publishers refused to acknowledge the request, stating that they want to reserve the right to shut down any game at any time.

The petition has now reached 1.4 million signatures, but due to its popularity, the campaign is being falsely accused, which could lead to its shutdown.

Why it matters: The Stop Killing Games initiative is a significant movement that can compel major publishers to refrain from shutting down any game they wish.

Accursed Farms, a YouTuber and one of the key figures of the entire operation, recently revealed that the campaign is being falsely accused by the industry. One of the false claims is that it violates two EU regulations

Accursed Farms is accused of not disclosing the funding sources for professional contributions toward, but the YouTuber has denied both of these claims. The YouTuber has been working on the campaign so extensively that he cannot be considered a volunteer; instead, his contribution has fallen into the realm of professional work

Accursed Farms has been working on the campaign for around 15-20 weeks, so his services would cost around €50-75 per hour. The accusation claims that he gained around €63,000-147,000 in professional contributions, so not reporting that is a violation of the EU’s rules.

Companies That Don't Support Stop Killing Games Initiative
Companies That Don’t Support Stop Killing Games Initiative

However, the YouTuber has rejected these accusations, claiming that he has not been paid for any of the work he has done. Accursed Farms is not even the leader of the campaign, as it is ineligible to be so due to its company being based in the US.

Someone was trying to kill the initiative. Filing paperwork to the European Union, accusing the initiative and me of violating the rules, maybe even committing a crime. I’m not sure. That’s no small thing. This is the industry playing dirty now.

The person who filed the complaint remains anonymous, and we will never know their identity. However, it is clear that a certain group doesn’t want the Stop Killing Games initiative to succeed

Fable Release Might Slip Into 2027, Hints Insider

Story Highlight

  • Fable might be delayed by another year, with a new release date expected for 2027, according to an insider.
  • The delay isn’t due to any development halt or issue; Playground Games just need more time to cook up the RPG.
  • Xbox already has a strong lineup for next year, so Fable’s delay won’t have a huge impact.

Gamers eagerly await Xbox’s revival of Fable, as it has the potential to become one of the biggest first-party IPs. Previously slated for a 2025 release, the game was pushed back to 2026 due to unexciting gameplay and technical issues, according to inside reports.

Now, another report suggests that we may not be able to get our hands on the RPG even in 2026. Insider expects Fable to be delayed into 2027.

Why it matters: Fable was announced back in 2020, and with a 2027 release, will have a development lifecycle of almost a decade. That’s an awfully long wait for a video game release, no matter how big.

In the latest XboxEra podcast, Speshal Nick discussed Fable’s release, stating that his inside reports indicate the game might be pushed back to 2027. The delay would not be due to any development problems, but rather simply to a longer development cycle than expected.

Being developed by Playground Games, this is the developer’s first venture into the RPG genre, so a longer development cycle makes sense.

With Xbox now becoming a publisher and releasing first-party games on other platforms, Fable is also expected to arrive on the PS5, possibly even on Day One. The delay could also be due to the multiplatform release that Xbox has planned.

Fable Reboot New Studio
Even God Of War Ragnarok Dev Has Praised Fable’s Animations And Visuals

Moreover, 2026 is already shaping up to be a busy year for Xbox and gaming in general. The first-party slate involves Gears of War E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, Call of Duty, and other rumored titles.

As such, Fable’s delay won’t even make a considerable difference in Xbox’s lineup next year. If anything, these delays will ensure that the game releases in an even more polished state, as things look optimistic for the RPG.

What are your thoughts on a potential delay for Fable? Will you be able to wait till 2027? Share your thoughts on this matter with us either in the comments or head towards the official Tech4Gamers Forums.

Next Metro Game Reveal Teased By Social Media Activity

Story Highlight
  • A new Metro game has been in the works for multiple years at this point.
  • 4A Games’ social media activity has ramped up this month, suggesting the team is building up to an official reveal.
  • Gamescom Opening Night Live is scheduled for next month, setting the stage for an official announcement soon.

A brand new Metro game has been in the rumor mill for well over a year now. Although 4A Games released Metro Awakening VR earlier last year, fans still yearn for another fully-fledged AAA release based on the IP.

After skipping multiple events and remaining silent, it seems 4A Games is finally ready to share more on the future of Metro. Recent social media activity from the studio suggests that a new reveal is being prepared for a big game.

Why it matters: Metro Exodus went on to sell over 10 million copies and became one of the series’ best-received entries to date. Needless to say, excitement remains high for the future of the IP.

Back in February, the official 4A Games Twitter account confirmed that work on the next major release was progressing swiftly, and the same account has now become more active than ever.

In fact, the month of July has seen a significant increase in activity on the account, suggesting that the team is teasing Metro’s future. A specific tweet referring to ‘New Metro’ has added further fuel to the fire, and a member of the social media team has even relocated to Malta for better collaborations with the studio.

All of this activity ahead of Gamescom could mean a new reveal is on the horizon. Because Gamescom’s Opening Night Live is scheduled for August 19, an official announcement could be in place for this date.

Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus Remains A Graphical Powerhouse

It is also worth noting that reliable sources previously reported that 4A Games’ next project was in a very playable state last year. Therefore, all the stars seem to be aligning for a major reveal.

What do you think about the teasers? Do you expect to see a Metro-related announcement at Gamescom? Let’s discuss in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

GreedFall Developer Spider Games Joins Industry Trend Of Layoffs

Story Highlight
  • The developer behind Greedfall, Spider Games, will be laying off employees soon.
  • The downsizing will impact animation and rig teams the most.
  • The studio is currently working on a full release for Greedfall 2 and another unannounced project.

Layoffs are becoming a daily practice in the gaming industry, while corporations cut down on running costs and executives become richer every day. Xbox was hit hard recently as studios were shut down, but that’s just the beginning of what’s to come next.

Following suit with the rest of the industry, Spider Games, the developers behind Greedfall, have also decided to lay off employees.

Why it matters: Layoffs have a significant impact on the gaming industry, as many talented individuals are rendered jobless and ambitious projects are put on hold. If this continues, the gaming landscape will never be the same as before.

As stated by the studio’s lead animator, Erwan Perrin, Spider Games will implement a layoff plan, primarily affecting the animation and rig teams. The number of employees affected by this decision is unknown.

Currently, the studio is working on Greedfall 2, which is available in early access for now. A full release was slated for 2025, with a possible arrival in September at the earliest.

Insider Suggests To Brace For More Xbox Layoffs Soon

Aside from Greedfall 2, they’re working on an unannounced project. The studio utilizes its in-house Silk engine, which has shown great potential for a relatively small studio.

It’s unknown how these layoffs will impact Spider Games’ upcoming slate, but we’ll find out soon after an official word from the developers. Still, expect production on future projects to take a significant hit after this.
