- Sweet Baby Inc. is officially listed as a consultant for Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine.
- The title, despite huge expectations, has been underwhelming, with a 77 on Metacritic.
- Based on the consultant firm’s notoriety, this explains why the title tanked.
Coming from Insomniac Games, the studio that hasn’t had a bad game in years, Marvel’s Wolverine had a lot of expectations riding on it. However, it has turned out to be quite underwhelming, with a disappointing Metacritic score of 77.
One of the biggest issues the players have had is with character designs. Turns out Sony once again hired the notorious Sweet Baby Inc. for consultation, which explains why the desings seem inspired by something like Concord.
Why it matters: There has been a huge discourse where people say that the game is woke and totally messes up characters like Mystique, Jean, Lady Deathstrike, Sabertooth, and Wolverine himself to some extent.

The end credits of Marvel’s Wolverine list a bunch of Sweet Baby Inc. employees who worked in departments like narrative, story, and more. Now, the company is quite hated, and that has transferred over to the game.
Now, the title has been in development for a long time, so it is believed that the partnership might not exist anymore. So, it apparently happened in the earlier stages, but they did have to credit them because of the involvement.

Many of the projects Sweet Baby Inc. has touched have turned out to be a disaster. This includes Suicide Squad, Unknown 9: Awakening, and more. Fortunately, at this point, most of the industry has walked away from the firm.
