Crimson Desert will offer more than 50 hours of single-player gameplay at release.
The game will arrive in 2025, and Pearl Abyss will follow up with post-launch multiplayer.
The team aims to offer an ever-evolving multiplayer experience besides the core single-player content.
Crimson Desert is an all-new single-player adventure from the team behind Black Desert Online. Borrowing from exemplary open-world titles like The Witcher 3 and Assassin’s Creed, this RPG aims to serve as a spiritual successor to Black Desert Online.
Developer Pearl Abyss recently shared various new details about the RPG with its investors. In addition to discussing an exclusivity offer, the team has also confirmed that Crimson Desert aims to offer at least 50 hours of gameplay.
Why it matters: Fans typically hope to spend hours upon hours in open-world releases, giving them just one more reason to anticipate Pearl Abyss’ upcoming title.
The Game Will Introduce Multiplayer After Release
According to a translation of the investor briefing, Pearl Abyss estimates an experience lasting 50-80 hours.
This is largely in line with the length of other open-world RPGs, though Pearl Abyss plans to take the series to the live-service genre after its release. The studio also confirmed that the game will officially launch next year.
Fans will explore the many regions of Pywel during this time as they forge unique adventures. The title also boasts a unique plot about supremacy and control, putting players at the center of a power struggle that can change their fates.
Crimson Desert Was Originally A Prequel To Black Desert Online
Following the release,Crimson Desert will receive a separate multiplayer mode similar to the very lucrative GTA Online.
This will tie into the studio’s live-service post-launch plans, though it has assured investors that the single-player experience will have its own definitive ending from day one.
However, Pearl Abyss is currently focused on the single-player experience. After multiple delays in the past, the game is finally nearing completion and is expected to arrive next year.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown team was rumored to be disbanded by Ubisoft.
Ubisoft confirmed the rumors but hasn’t really laid off the team.
Instead, the team is now working on Rayman Remake, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and the next entry in the Ghost Recon franchise.
Yesterday, a rumor surfaced online revealing that the team behind Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been disbanded; however, shortly after, Ubisoft confirmed the report but revealed that the team is still present and is bust at Ubisoft Montpellier.
So, the team wasn’t laid off, which is a relief, given The Lost Crown was actually a great game. Ubisoft said that the team is now working on different projects, which a reliable inspector has further clarified.
The team seems to be working on Rayman Remake, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and the next mainline Ghost Recon game.
Why it matters: Prince of Persia: The Lost of Crown is one of the better games from Ubisoft in a few years, so disbanding the team behind this game was shocking.
Reliable Insider Reveals Rayman Remake Is In Development
The insider reveals that the majority of the developers have been moved to three different projects. However, the most interesting reveal is the Rayman remake, as it is one of the oldest and most iconic video game series.
While the remake seems to be in development, it has been an unpopular project among the developers, the same as Beyond Good and Evil 2.
He also revealed that many developers working on Beyond Good and Evil 2 are confused by why Ubisoft is spending a lot of money on the project, as it isn’t likely to get that back. He also revealed that The Lost Crown has sold around 1 million copies since its release and didn’t meet the sales expectations.
Ubisoft seems to have really high expectations from the game as the gaming giant was expecting to compete against the biggest Metroidvania games in the market by selling millions of copies.
What do you think of the gaming giant reviving Rayman? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or join the discussion on Tech4Gamers’ official forum.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release in just 2 days.
The game has a lot of hype and anticipation, even after last year’s poor release.
Despite it being available on Game Pass the game is currently the best seller on Steam.
Modern Warfare 3, released last year, was pretty disappointing as it is the worst-rated COD in the series. The campaign was so underwhelming that the majority of fandom was disappointing. However, the upcoming release in the series, Black Ops 6, looks promising.
The game is set to release in just a couple of days, and the hype is pretty clear. It is currently the best-seller on Steam even after being available on the Game Pass, which shows high demand.
Why it matters: The majority fandom of multiplayer games is on PC, and they prefer to use Steam as the primary launcher. So, it won’t be surprising for the game’s sales to be high despite being available on Game Pass.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is Currently The Best Selling Game on Steam | Source: Steam
As you can see in the image above, Black Ops 6 is the best-selling game on Steam right now. This is because there are only two days left before the game’s release, so the pre-orders seem to be going really strong.
To get more sales, Microsoft has also removed the $1 Game Pass trial, which seems to be a smart move. It is very likely that many will try out this title on the Game Pass due to their experience with the previous entry in the series.
While the impressions are positive there are some concerns arising. Recently, the first non-binary operator in the game was revealed, and it seems like Activision is going all out on DEI.
However, other than that, the game looks promising, and hopefully, its campaign won’t disappoint. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25.

Activision has revealed it will integrate DEI into all of its projects going forward.
The president says they have a diverse audience, and that is exactly what they want.
The company has launched a proper plan to implement the narrative for their future.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI has been a massive topic in the gaming industry for the last few months. Some fans support it, while others don’t consider it an important thing in gaming. Nonetheless, it seems it’s here to stay as more companies adopt it.
The Call of Duty developer has revealed it is going full out on DEI, implementing it with all its future projects.
Why it matters: Many people believe that forcing narratives such as DEI makes a mockery out of video games and takes the plot in an unwanted direction, which ruins the overall experience.
Activision has an entire tab on its site for promoting DEI
Activision recently updated its site to show support for DEI. It even has a full Rundown 2.0 program that ensures that all future projects include inclusivity. It has 3 main points: inclusivity among the employees, Activision’s games, and a diverse audience.
For us to operate at the top of our game in both areas, it is imperative that we champion diversity, equity and inclusion environment.
– Rob Kostich
Black Ops 6 has introduced Call of Duty’s first non-binary operator
Company president Rob Kostich says that their success comes from their players. So, to deliver that, they need to implement DEI. It will make sure everyone has a comfortable environment, and they make games for the diverse audience Activision has.
The narrative has already kicked off as Black Ops 6 will see the first-ever non-binary operator in Call of Duty history. This comes after a report back in May stated that Activision is installing DEI officers on every developer.
Now, many people have different opinions on DEI. Recently, Elon Musk stated that forcing DEI into games kills the art. Ori developer also stated that this narrative doesn’t tie well into the hard work they do.

A new rumor suggests that multiple Xbox games are being developed for the PS5/PS5 Pro.
The ports include upcoming projects like Gears E-Day, Fable, Halo, and more.
Microsoft hasn’t officially announced any of these ports yet, so take it with a grain of salt.
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced its multiplatform plans, with Indiana Jones being the first AAA title to get a PS5 port. Now, a new rumor suggests that multiple other Xbox titles, including Gear E-Day, Fable, Halo, and more, are also being developed for the PlayStation 5.
Why it matters: Ever since Xbox sales tumbled, Microsoft has been stumbling more towards the publishing space rather than a console maker. This transition would be a lot of benefit as it could lead to higher sales due to more people owning the PS5.
According to MAGG from Crossfire, who previously predicted the arrival of previous Xbox ports, Microsoft is planning to release most of its upcoming titles on the PS5 as well. These include Gears of War E-Day, Fable, Perfect Dark, Avowed, Blade, and Halo.
If sales are taken into account, Xbox games have always done well on the PlayStation. Recent ports like Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush had a very good reception.
Multiple Xbox games are planned for PS5.
Considering Microsoft’s current struggles in the industry, this could turn out true, but take this with a grain of salt for now. Also, a very reliable leaker, extas1s, has also stated that while the ports are planned, they are currently ‘paused.’
Microsoft had hoped to get a lot of traction with the Indiana Jones PS5 reveal; however, it wasn’t that well received, which led to the company ‘slowing’ or ‘pausing’ future ports. So, it seems that even if there are plans, they have been put on hold.
It could be possible that Microsoft is waiting for how well Indiana Jones performs on the PS5, then decide about the future ones. But for now, there has been no official word, so it is strictly a rumor.

Liquid metal is highly conductive, and spills can damage your PC hardware. Similarly, it is corrosive and can only be used with copper heatsinks.
An average thermal paste costs around $7 to $8 per gram, but decently priced liquid metal may cost over $18 per gram.
Tests proved that there’s only a slight difference between high-end thermal pastes and liquid metals, making the latter useful only for extreme overclocking.
Using good thermal paste is an essential part of building a PC. We have seen countless innovations in thermal pastes, and if you want to push your PC to the edge, many experts will recommend you apply liquid metal. However, that’s not always the case. What do I mean? Well, simply put, liquid metal isn’t something everyone can cool PCs with. In short, it’s not all bells and whistles because liquid metal is dangerous stuff. You spill even one drop on the motherboard, and you’ll have to replace the whole thing. Let’s take it up a notch and see whether you should use liquid metal.
It’s Too Conductive And Corrosive
ARCTIC MX-5 thermal paste. (Image By Tech4Gamers)
Most users prefer “normal” thermal paste for several reasons, even though liquid metal is more effective in reducing temperatures. The first issue is that it’s metal. While it’s good at conducting heat, it’s also equally good at conducting electricity. So, when applying it to your CPU’s IHS, you need to be careful of the amount and that it doesn’t spill on the motherboard. If you have delid your CPU, you must be even more cautious.
If the liquid metal accidentally spills on the motherboard where electricity is going through, it can cause a short circuit and kill the component or your entire PC. As I said above, liquid metal isn’t an ordinary thermal paste; it’s metal and a liquid that can spill over if you don’t apply enough pressure. So, if you have used too much and it drops, you can rest assured you’ll go to a computer shop for replacements.
Another major issue with liquid metal is that it’s highly corrosive. Hence, you are forced only to use CPU coolers with a copper baseplate as the liquid metal will undoubtedly corrode aluminum baseplates. Not only does this limit the CPU cooler you can buy, but you may also have to change your current cooler if you decide to switch to liquid metal after completing your PC build.
The Price Shouldn’t Be Scoffed At
Besides all the installation issues, liquid metal may be out of reach for many PC users because of its price. For example, your average run-of-the-mill thermal paste will cost you less than $7 to $8 a gram. On the other hand, liquid metal like the “decently priced” Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut with an outstanding 73W/(mK) comes at $18 for 1g.
That’s more than double the price, but it only helps you overclock your CPU a little more than the standard thermal paste would allow. I’m not saying that the Conductonaut is bad, but rather that most liquid metals tend to be even more expensive than that. So, if you plan on making the shift, make sure you can spend the gold coin for it.
Liquid Metal Is Only Good For Extreme Overclocking
Another major issue with liquid metal is that it’s only relatively good for extreme overclocking. I don’t recommend it if you plan to use it for a high-end Intel or AMD CPU. Sure, the former gets relatively hot even with a 360mm AIO cooler, but using liquid metal is going overboard without any good reason.
PC Crazy benchmarked several thermal pastes and compared their temperatures with the Thermal Grizzly Condactonaut Extreme liquid metal, only to find a slight 3°C difference with a 25MHz increment in the Ryzen 9 7900X3D CPU. For comparison, the liquid metal costs ~$20 per gram. Therefore, you won’t find a significant thermal difference between both types, but the latter will give you more headroom for overclocking.
We tested several thermal pastes and saw interesting results. Even without liquid metal, you should be able to run a high-end CPU without any issues. Don’t believe me? Here are our benchmarks with the Ryzen 7 7700X:
Comparing eight thermal pastes with the Ryzen 7 7700X. (Image By Tech4Gamers)
Liquid Metal Isn’t For The Faint Of Heart
I’ll conclude by stating that liquid metal, while beneficial for some, is not for the faint of heart. If you’re new to PC building and have never applied thermal paste, trying out liquid metal should be out of the question. Similarly, I don’t recommend taking the risk if you’re not using your PC for extreme overclocking and testing its limits.
On the other hand, if you’re an experienced builder who wants to try something new, using liquid metal to cool PCs can be quite an adventure. For more interesting results, you can use a gold leaf instead of liquid metal, but standard thermal paste will work in most PC builds. All-in-all, what thermal paste you use doesn’t matter too much as long as it’s from a reputable brand.

Intel confirmed its 13th Generation and 14th Generation Raptor Lake CPUs were being affected by a ‘microcode defect’ in August.
Team Blue promised a software-based update that would prevent these processors from incurring further damage.
The tech giant now believes its CPU instability nightmare is over, but I would advise you to proceed with caution.
Welcome back to another status update on Team Blue.
As I’m sure you’re all aware, Intel has been struggling with a myriad of after-sales concerns in the form of stability issues with its 13th Generation Raptor Lake and 14th Generation Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs.
Needless to say, Intel isn’t enjoying the perks of ‘Techtober’ like all the other tech giants are.
Resultantly, the silicon giant’s sales figures have plunged considerably and understandably so.
After all, a software patch doesn’t do much to install confidence when it comes to rectifying a hardware-based defect.
But hey, Intel’s trying its best, so let’s give them a chance and analyse how the last two months have played out for them.
Step 1: Damage Control
I’ve gone into detail as to what the specific issue with these particular Intel CPUs seems to be with Intel itself confirming it to be a fault with the microcode in 13th and 14th Generation CPUs with TDPs of 65W or higher that causes the motherboard to pump excess voltage to the processors and thereby completely fry them in the process of doing so.
Subsequently, Intel promised a software patch that would fix this critical manufacturing flaw and prevent the CPUs from incurring any further damage.
That being said, as this was supposed to be a purely software-based fix, it would be unable to correct any previous damage that the processors may have suffered.
In order to soften the blow, Intel also headlined the fact that they’d be extending the warranties for all affected CPUs for an additional time period of 2 years.
Step 2: Navigating Through The Crisis
Contrary to popular opinion, Intel refused to halt sales or recall any of its processors.
Not only that, Intel even tried blaming the manufacturers in the beginning of this conundrum under the assumption that they were tweaking the CPUs to run at higher frequencies which then threatened the stability of these processors.
Consequently, Intel came out with the “Intel Baseline Profile,” i.e., a recommended processor profile which the CPU giant strongly advised everyone to implement for optimal performance.
Unfortunately, several tests affirmed that this new CPU profile was directly proportional to noticeably slower CPU performance, especially in games.
Step 3: Public Outcry
I’m sure it’s very evident to you that quite a few people were left unimpressed with Intel’s contingency strategy.
On that note, I’m positive you won’t be surprised to know that developers (like Alderon Games and Warframe) and even retailers started advising their clients to keep a respectable distance from Intel’s Raptor Lake CPUs and instead, began advocating for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Processors.
It also doesn’t help that AMD just released their brand new Ryzen 9000 CPUs built upon the revamped Zen 5 microarchitecture.
As a result, developers and IT-based firms are even transitioning to AMD-based server workloads because they obviously can’t afford the downtime and unreliability that’s become synonymous with Intel’s flagship processors.
Intel CPUs: What Does The Future Look Like?
It’s not all doom and gloom for Intel just yet.
Why, you ask? Well, Team Blue’s announced another comprehensive microcode patch that will supposedly permanently fix four scenarios under which your CPU might begin to undergo irreversible silicon damage.
The company also claims that none of its mobile/laptop CPUs are affected, but I’m still not totally inclined to believe that based on what I’ve been hearing till now. Innocent until proven guilty in this case, one might say.
Intel is also urging everyone to send their CPUs in for an RMA if they’re witnessing signs of performance degradation or premature silicon ageing.
That said, Intel hasn’t exactly specified as to how lenient it’ll be when it comes to replacing consumers’ processors on the basis of RMA claims.
Needless to say, even if Intel thinks their Raptor Lake nightmare is over, it’s safe to assume that the brand’s reputation and goodwill has been tarnished significantly and even ardent fans are now thinking of switching to AMD, which will undoubtedly prove to detrimentally plague Intel’s future sales of its upcoming 15th Generation ‘Arrow Lake’ Processors.
As far as my personal opinion is concerned, I’d only advise you to go for the 13th/14th Generation CPUs provided you’re getting an absolute banger of a deal, or if you’re really hell-bent on sticking with Team Blue.

Otherwise, if you’re open to experiencing the other side of the world, I would definitely urge you to spring for the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D if gaming is your primary concern. It’s still the king of the hill.

On the base PS5, Lies of P runs at native 4K but at 30FPS
However, the game on PS5 Pro delivers native 4K resolution with a 30% performance boost in Quality Mode.
The PS5 Pro’s higher frame rate in Quality Mode helps to reduce frame pacing issues, especially during combat.
Lies of P, known for its challenging gameplay and brilliant environments, now showcases a decent performance boost on the PS5 Pro when running in Quality Mode, delivering native 4K resolution with a 30% performance boost.
Why it matters: PS5 Pro is marketed as 45% faster than the base model. The figures are almost accurate, at least in Lies of P, as it offers a 30% performance boost in quality mode.
On the PS5 Pro, the Quality Mode focuses on the best visuals, delivering native 4K resolution. Players can now enjoy sharp textures and detailed environments that bring the game’s Bloodborne-like world to life.
According to Eurogamer, While the base PS5 ran the game at a steady 30 FPS in Quality Mode, the PS5 Pro increases this to over 40 FPS, making gameplay feel a bit more responsive.
The developers have optimized Lies of P for Quality Mode, but Performance Mode also aims for 60 FPS at 1440p on regular PS5 consoles.
Moreover, Digital Foundry’s review noted that while Lies of P can have some frame pacing issues, these are much less common in Quality Mode on the PS5 Pro. The higher frame rate in this mode really helps during combat, where any drop in performance can be frustrating in the game’s challenging environment.
What do you think of the performance boost in Lies of P on the PS5 Pro? Do you think it’s worth the hefty $700 price tag? Join the discussion on Tech4Gamers Forum.

Silent Hill 2 Remake sold over 1 million copies in just 3 days.
This is a great achievement for a title that received a lot of criticism at the initial reveal.
This milestone also makes it the fastest-selling game in the series.
There are tons of games in the Silent Hill franchise, but the best ones, of course, range from 1-4. The last part didn’t really click with the fandom, but the first 3 were pretty great. So, the Silent Hill franchise is one of the best horror game series, if not the best.
The old generation has enjoyed titles from this franchise a lot. Recently, Konami released the remake of Silent Hill 2, which received excellent reception from both the fandom and critics. Not only that, but it became the fastest-selling game in the series.
Why it matters: The remake was first criticized, but the Bloober Team improved it a lot, and the reception on launch was quite different.
The Silent Hill 2 Remake Is Now The Fastest-Selling Title In The Series
Recently, Konami announced that the Silent Hill 2 remake has sold 1 Million copies in just 3 days. It is pretty impressive for a remake of a game that is older than 2 decades to reach this milestone and receive such a reception from the fans.
Makes it the fastest selling Silent Hill game by far, & certainly not bad for a PS5/PC exclusive releasing for a long dormant IP.
-Dusk Golem
Dusk Golem, a horror game enthusiast and a reliable insider, revealed that this remake is actually, by far, the fastest-selling title in the series. This is a pretty solid achievement, and the Silent Hill 2 remake deserves it.
Bloober Team recently revealed that it is open to making more remakes or new entries in the franchise, which has gotten the fandom excited. Hopefully, we will get to see more entries in the series, especially some more remakes.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown didn’t meet the sales expectations.
According to a reliable leaker, Ubisoft has disbanded the whole team.
The team seemed to have fought for a sequel, but it was rejected.
Almost all of the recent Ubisoft games haven’t really received a good reception from the fandom. However, one title stood out, and that was Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The game received a great score on Metacritic, and the fandom praised it quite a lot.
However, the games’ sales were really poor. It was previously revealed that it only attracted 300k players. More players might have played it by now, but the sales haven’t improved that much. For those reasons, it seems like Ubisoft has laid off the whole team that worked on this title.
Why it matters: The Lost Crown was arguably a great Prince of Persia game, as it featured great boss battles and really challenging platforming.
Gautoz, a reliable Fench journalist, revealed that the whole team behind the game has been disbanded. The journalist seems to have heard the information from multiple developers at Ubisoft Montpellier.
It was the best game production in my entire life. One after the other i was told it was seen as a beacon of hope to create and a safe space for people that were burnt out by BG&E 2, the team has been disbanded by Ubisoft.
-Gautoz
The French journalist has proven to be reliable, but still, we recommend taking this news with a pinch of salt. That said, if this is true, then it is really unfortunate for the team to be disbanded like this.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Raised Expectations For Sands of Time Remake
The poor sales might have been an indication, but not many would have expected the whole team to be disbanded. It seems like the developers also fought for a sequel, which was refused.
Ubisoft is in really critical condition overall, so it might not have any choice. What do you think about the giant reportedly laying off the entire team? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below or join the discussion at the official Tech4Gamers forums.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was delayed to next year as the game’s situation was quite grim.
Now, following the delay, Ubisoft has also canceled the early access and removed the seasonal pass from the Collector’s edition.
The collector’s edition will now cost $50 less and some design elements may change.
While the title is still surrounded by controversy, it has dialled down a bit. The game will also be released on day one on Steam, so there is hope for better sales. That said, Ubisoft recently cancelled the game’s early access and season pass, and due to that, the collector’s edition price has been slashed by $50.
Why it matters: Assassin’s Creed Shadows was recently delayed, and now more changes in the plans show that the developer might be facing more hurdles than expected.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition Has Seen Some Changes | Source: Discord
The developer recently confirmed the drop in the price of the collector’s edition in a Discord post. It revealed that the Collector’s Edition, previously costing $279.99, would now cost $229.99 as it does not contain some of the bonuses mentioned previously.
The developer revealed that on the console, it would cost $229.99 / 239.99€, and on the PC, 229.99€/$. Also, fans should note that the collector’s edition will now be available on the same day the game is released.
That is because there is no early access. The rest of the stuff will be included in the collector’s edition, but there might be some changes in the design, perhaps due to the previous allegations made against the giant. The game is set to launch on 14 Feb 2025 on PC and consoles.
