Naughty Dog Boss Confirms Development of Second Game Besides Intergalactic

Story Highlight
  • Neil Druckmann states that Naughty Dog has a second game in development besides Intergalactic.
  • This game is being led by other developers, with Neil Druckmann as a producer.
  • He previously confirmed that The Last of Us Part 3 was not being worked on.

Naughty Dog is primarily focused on Intergalactic at the moment, but recent rumours pointed to the development of an additional title at the studio.

Although many fans had hoped this second game would be The Last of Us Part 3, the studio’s head previously confirmed that a third chapter in Ellie’s story had not begun development. As per his latest statement, however, a new game other than Intergalactic is being worked on at Naughty Dog.

Why it matters: The studio recently cancelled The Last of Us Multiplayer and has been focused on various re-releases based on the same franchise. As such, fans will be glad to know that the team is developing two new projects.

Speaking on the Press X To Continue podcast, Neil Druckmann recently discussed The Last of Us TV series.

He also spilled the beans on a second Naughty Dog project. Neil Druckmann states that his work on this project is limited to a producer role, with the Intergalactic director mentoring other developers and giving them feedback on their work.

Although Neil Druckmann did not specify what this project is, his statement has fans speculating whether Naughty Dog is working on a spin-off or remake of an existing franchise like Uncharted.

There’s another game being worked on at Naughty Dog where I get to mentor and give feedback.

According to the developer, he is currently jumping between this role and his task as the Intergalactic director. Neil Druckmann says that he enjoys the flexibility of working in these roles and filling different positions within the Naughty Dog team.

The Game Mentioned Above Is Not The Last of Us Part 3

Because the studio has stayed relatively quiet over the last few years, perhaps fans will receive an official look at this mystery project sometime this year. Intergalactic itself is still quite far from its release, so it will be interesting to learn how far along the second game is by the time it is announced.

What are your thoughts on Naughty Dog making two games at once? Let’s discuss in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

This Mouse Lets You Experience Gun Recoil

Story Highlights
  • Ragnok first created their series 2 gun mouse, which was a vertical mouse with only a gun grip.
  • Then, with their series 3, ErgoStrike 7, they added a gun chamber with a vibrating block that adds like recoil.
  • It is very comfortable, with an ergonomic design and a satisfying trigger. It’s a mouse you have to try at least once.

Gaming mice come in all forms, some small, some extremely lightweight, some with higher or lower polling rates, and some ergonomic. Vertical mice are a typical example of an ergonomic mouse, but there isn’t anything unique to that.

Unique Take On Vertical Mouse (Image Credits – Indiegogo)

Therefore, Ragnok has entered the peripherals market with its innovation of adding a gun recoil to a vertical mouse. How does that work, and most importantly, is it practical? In this article, let’s answer these common questions.

Ragnok’s Past Mouse

Ragnok has first released their gun mouse back in 2021-2022 but the design wasn’t refined and the company felt like a scam to most people. However, they released the Ragnok 2 in 2023, which felt like a better product.

Great Concept

This mouse was vertical and resembled the grip design of a real gun, with the company claiming to have the same ratio as that of a real gun’s grip. Behind the grip, there was a long resting piece that had vibration feedback.

It had a trigger in the front that was more like a trigger in a VR controller. Beneath it was your ADS button, which you could use with your middle finger. The mouse also had a scroll wheel on the side, with an additional button below it.

Cheap Finish

This was already a cool concept that wasn’t introduced before, but the mouse had some rough edges. Firstly, the build quality felt very cheap, with the plastic body feeling like it would break in an instance.

Bad Buttons

Secondly, the trigger buttons felt weird; even though they were MK switches we have on keyboards, they still felt very cheap. The design also doesn’t fit super comfortably on every player’s hand.

ErgoStrike 7

So after this mouse, Ragnok decided to make another refined variant and recently released in 2025 released their ErgoStrike 7. This mouse fixed a lot of the issues the previous mouse, Ragnok, had.

Renewed Design

Right of the bat you can see that the design has underwent a lot of changes and it already looks good. Now, the mouse resembles a pistol with the two tone color, a separate chamber, and a much more better grip.

Now, it is comfortable to hold because of its more ergonomic shape, which would suit players with different hand sizes. The base has been made larger, and the palm rest has been integrated into the mouse.

ErgoStrike 7 Ergonomics
More Ergonomic (Image Credits – Ragnok)

There’s also a thin line of RGB added on both sides of the mouse, located just below the chamber of the mouse. This subtle addition enhances the look of the mouse, making it suitable for gaming.

Satisfying Buttons

It also includes a proper trigger like you have in a real gun, which was previously missing. All the other buttons also have a nice feel when you press them. It also sounds much like a normal mouse instead of sounding like a keyboard.

Feel The Recoil

Now, for the most unique part about this new mouse, the recoil. Since it has a top design like the chamber in a gun, there’s a Lego-like block placed that acts like a recoil. Once you press the trigger, it goes back and forth very quickly.

ErgoStrike 7 Recoil
Added Recoil (Image Credits – Ragnok)

You can adjust the recoil you want with a slideable button, which can ramp up the recoil to 2x the standard amount. You get the recoil where the mouse vibrates, similar to what is found in console controllers.

Its Price…

At $129, it is on the higher side compared to other vertical mice like the Logitech MX vertical mouse. It is a good price point, but it’ll be even more worth it if there’s a discount on it, just like there is on the Viper V2 Pro

How Practical Is It?

You could be mistaken if you think this mouse would grant you an unfair advantage in-game because of its gun-like design. If anything, you could be disadvantaged with this mouse, especially if you haven’t used a vertical one before.

ErgoStrike 7 Practicality
Practicality Added Recoil (Image Credits – mikeshouts)

See, at the end of the day, it acts just like any other vertical mouse, except it has a slight recoil and much more satisfying buttons. However, you can get used to it, and switching back to a standard mouse will be harder.

Stellar Blade Dev Says Game Runs Better On PC With Denuvo Than Without it

Story Highlight
  • The team behind Stellar Blade states that Denuvo has been tuned to maintain the same average frame rate in the game.
  • Shift Up also shows that the 1% lows and minimum FPS improve when the game is run with the DRM.
  • This is one of the few instances where Denuvo appears to be improving in-game performance.

Stellar Blade’s PC port has already become the subject of intense discussion due to controversial choices. Not only is the PC version region-locked, but it also incorporates Denuvo DRM, something not typically seen in PlayStation PC ports.

Amid the disappointment, developer Shift Up has offered a clarification. The team has defended its use of the DRM, stating that it ultimately benefits the game in more ways than one.

Why it matters: Denuvo has a controversial reputation since many believe it harms PC performance.

Stellar Blade Frame Rate on PC
Stellar Blade Frame Rate on PC via Shift Up

As per the game’s official X account, Stellar Blade runs better when Denuvo is enabled.

The DRM has been tuned to maintain the same average frame rate, with even higher minimum frames in some cases.

-Shift Up

To support this statement, the team has shared an official benchmark image, highlighting that the average frame rate of 59.9 remains the exact same with and without the DRM.

However, the minimum frame rate improves by 10 (58.2FPS vs. 48.6FPS) when Denuvo is enabled, marking the most significant difference in the benchmark chart shown above.

Similarly, the DRM-based version offers better 1% lows. According to the team, the DRM has been tuned extensively to ensure to achieve these results. As such, the performance improvements is a secondary benefit to the protection this technology brings to the game.

Stellar Blade PC
Stellar Blade Arrives On PC On June 25

Interestingly, Irdeto, the company behind Denuvo, itself has also argued that the DRM does not impact performance.

Although future tests of Stellar Blade running on PC next month will reveal a clearer picture, developer Shift Up’s defense of the DRM is certainly quite interesting. The team already received praise for its optimization work on PS5, so it is entirely possible that similar efforts have negated any potential downsides that come with Denuvo.

The Witcher 4 Director Says It Will Have More Player Freedom Than Before And Tough Choices

Story Highlight
  • According to the game’s director, The Witcher 4 is being built with player agency and freedom regarding choices in mind.
  • The RPG will have tough choices with in-depth consequences and emotionally rewarding payoffs.
  • Players will have more opportunities and tools to define their experience.

Arguably one of the most anticipated titles in the gaming world right now is The Witcher 4, the sequel to the 2015 game, which will make Ciri the central protagonist of the franchise. Information on the project has been scarce up till now, with a tentative release date of 2027 in the mind of CD Projekt Red.

However, we have gotten tidbits on how the game will compare to other projects in the franchise, and a new interview from The Witcher 4’s director has given us further insight into how the RPG will function.

Why This Matters: An RPG giving players freedom to choose between morally ambiguous choices is a step in the right direction for the genre.

The Witcher 4
The Witcher 4 will have some tough choices for the player.

While talking to IGN, Sebastian Kalemba, the game’s director, stated that player agency and freedom are the focal points of the team’s development of The Witcher 4. They want players to feel the choices they make and the consequences they will have.

The director further explained that the players will have more opportunities and tools to make the gameplay experience their own, giving The Witcher 4 the most player control and freedom in the franchise and allowing players to define their story.

We want to give players more tools, more opportunities, to be able to feel that ‘I am the player and I define my experience.’

Furthermore, Kalemba spoke on choices in the RPG, saying he wants the player to be okay with the consequences, making them feel rewarding even if the ending is sad. The director also stated that the choices will have more depth, with good choices leading to bad results and bad decisions having some justification behind them.

Marathon On Track To Fail And Hurt Bungie Permanently, Says Insider

Story Highlight
  • Marathon’s situation seems bleak after back-to-back controversies and criticisms.
  • An insider expects the title to be a massive blow to Bungie following low morale and other internal reports.
  • He suggests that the fallout will also impact Destiny 2.

PlayStation’s Marathon appeared to be a surefire hit when Bungie initially announced the title, but recent events have all but killed the excitement for this extraction shooter.

Following poor player impressions and allegations of plagiarism, Marathon is expected to be delayed to 2026. The insider who initially reported on the team’s current situation also believes this release will permanently hurt Bungie as a studio.

Why it matters: Although Bungie is one of gaming’s most renowned studios, the team has not had much success over the last few years.

Bungie Marathon Game
Marathon Is Unlikely To Live Up To Halo And Destiny’s Reputation

As per Forbes journalist Paul Tassi, Marathon’s situation seems hopeless at this point. The insider has plenty of information about Bungie’s current situation, making this statement quite interesting.

He argues that the game likely won’t suffer the same fate as Concord, but it will be a huge blow to Bungie overall. According to Paul Tassi, the studio will suffer from layoffs and even see Destiny 2 performing worse as a result of the worsening reputation.

The insider also expects Sony leadership to take over Bungie fully once all is said and done, leaving the once legendary studio with a tarnished reputation.

This will hurt Bungie and its actual healthy child, Destiny. There will be layoffs.

Perhaps the saddest part about this situation is that Bungie has already had multiple layoffs over the last few years. Destiny 2 player counts have also suffered despite the consistent output of new content.

Destiny 2
PlayStation Purchased Bungie For Its Live-Service Expertise

The insider says that there is simply no saving Marathon at this point due to a combination of factors. Whether it be the low player counts during the Alpha test or the slew of recent controversies around the title, nothing about the current situation suggests a comeback is possible.

Ultimately, a delay is the only option, but Bungie’s fate now appears to be set in stone.

What are your thoughts on Marathon so far? Do you think the game will live up to Bungie’s legacy? Let’s discuss in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

While details on the project are scarce, a new job listing implies the title may be close to completion. Developer Crystal Dynamics has already begun polishing the next Tomb Raider game.

Why it matters: The last Tomb Raider game was released in 2018, and fans have been waiting for a new entry ever since. Fortunately, the wait won’t last any longer.

Crystal Dynamics’ Job Listing Implying Tomb Raider Is Close To Completion

Crystal Dynamics is currently hiring a Senior Level Designer for an unannounced game. The description states that the said role will be responsible for “strike teams as a high-impact individual contributor.”

Strike Teams in development consist of a few highly skilled developers who are responsible for polishing the game in its final stages and addressing any problems in development. This may include sorting bugs, testing QA, fixing performance, or nitpicking other issues.

Although the job listing doesn’t mention that the role is required for Tomb Raider, it states that candidates need to “Take ownership of designing levels featuring compelling puzzle elements.” For any Tomb Raider fan, that all but confirms the speculation.

PlayStation Fans Concerned Xbox Could Gain Access to PS Titles Via Steam Integration

Story Highlight
  • Next-gen Xbox is suggested to support Epic Games Store and Steam integration.
  • As such, PlayStation fans are worried that the console would be able to run PlayStation games available on those stores.
  • Moreover, Xbox players could also access Steam discounts and a bigger library.

Xbox finally admitted its defeat against PlayStation when it stopped directly competing with the gaming giant and instead went down the publisher route, which has worked quite well for them.

Microsoft plans to make Xbox more accessible for a wider audience. Rumours indicate that the next-gen Xbox console will support the Steam launcher.

This has worried PlayStation fans, who fear that Xbox may get to play their first-party exclusives and enjoy other perks, potentially leaving Sony behind.

Why it matters: Steam has a broader gaming catalogue than Xbox and PlayStation combined. If the gaming store were to arrive on Xbox, the gaming giant would have a significantly upper hand compared to the rest of the competition.

Destin thinks Xbox will get PlayStation games via Steam. Do you believe it?
byu/Nowadaysbelike inLastStandMedia

Steam and Epic Games Store coming to the next-gen Xbox have long been rumoured and teased by Phil Spencer. Moreover, the console itself is suggested to be a PC in a console-friendly shape, an attempt by Microsoft to close the gap between Windows and Xbox gaming.

Sony has recently started porting first-party PlayStation games to PC, usually 1-2 years after their initial release on their platform. As such, PlayStation games would be theoretically playable on Xbox.

Fans Think Xbox Will Win If Steam And Epic Games Store Come On Xbox || X

Sony doesn’t care either, as inside reports suggest they won’t be taking steps to restrict access to their catalogue to a potential Xbox supporting Steam.

The argument doesn’t stop with PlayStation games. Xbox players would have all the upsides of a PC with a console-friendly UI that provides convenience. Moreover, Xbox fans could enjoy Steam/Epic Games Store discounts, exclusive titles, and more.

Fans Worrying PlayStation Games Might Be Playable On Xbox || X

From what this seems like, the console wars are far from over—they’re just delayed. PlayStation won’t abandon its exclusive strategy anytime soon. Their revenue from PC is just a fraction of their overall income, so Sony can delay exclusivity or even completely abandon it. However, that remains to be seen.

Marvel’s Blade To Feature Official Mod Support Via Creation Kit, Job Listing Hints

Story Highlight
  • A new job listing for a developer tester suggests that Marvel’s Blade will get official mod support, possibly via the Creation Kit.
  • The studio wants experience in the Creation Kit and the modding community in the preferred skills, implying official mod support.
  • The scope or arrival time of the mod support is unclear, but if the Creation Kit is used, we may see official integration at the Bethesda level.

Since the first reveal of Marvel’s Blade during the Game Awards 2023 event, fans have been quite excited for it. However, only a little has been revealed about the game since then, but Arkane Studios has now unknowingly confirmed a major detail.

A new job listing published by ZeniMax Media for a developer tester indicates that the major Xbox first-party game is now expected to feature official mod support. This could have huge implications for the highly anticipated project’s future.

Why it matters: Arkane Studios’ bringing official mod support to the purely single-player experience, Marvel’s Blade, might significantly increase its lifespan, mainly if the Creation Kit is used. Fans are already excited about it.

A new job listing for a developer tester hints that Marvel’s Blade will feature mod support.

The job listing even briefly mentions wanting experience with Bethesda’s famous Creation Kit, which suggests that Marvel’s Blade may use the tool for official mod support. This could make modding a massive part of the otherwise purely single-player experience.

Experience with Creation Kit and the modding community.

However, nothing beyond these tidbits has been confirmed yet, which makes the third-person action-adventure entry all the more mysterious.

Fans hope to finally see official gameplay later this year, likely in the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase event on June 8, 2025.

Marvel's Blade Arkane Xbox
According to ongoing rumors, Marvel’s Blade is still at least two years away.

For those not in the know, Marvel’s Blade is expected to come out in 2027 and has been said to be in development for a few years already. It is set to launch for Xbox Series X|S and PC, while a PS5 launch remains unconfirmed.

Nvidia Pressures Reviewers To Highlight DLSS And Frame Gen In Their Benchmarks, Report Claims

Story Highlight
  • A popular YouTuber, Gamers Nexus, reports that Nvidia pressures reviewers to drive certain favorable narratives.
  • The company allegedly wants to keep highlighting DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation in benchmarks while pushing for inflated frame rates in charts.
  • Media outlets that publish favorable narratives get preferential treatment, including exclusive driver access for RTX 5060 previews.

Nvidia’s reign over the gaming industry has grown with its new lineup of 50xx GPU offerings, but this might not work out in an average gamer’s favor. A new report reveals that the company pressures reviewers to push certain favorable narratives.

In a detailed video, YouTuber Gamers Nexus claimed that Nvidia is manipulating reviews by compelling reviewers to highlight DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation in benchmarks.

The team at Gamers Nexus can only have access to interviews, technical discussions, and access to engineers if they talk about DLSS and MFG.

Why it matters: The report shows that Nvidia’s massive monopoly is allegedly not being used for the greater good of the gaming scene. Many gamers have criticized the company for trying to manipulate reviews online.

That’s not all; the video claims that reviewers who refuse to comply face restricted access to technical discussions. Nvidia also insists on inflated frame rate multipliers in benchmark charts to exaggerate how well its GPUs hold up during testing.

by threatening access to interviews and hardware, Nvidia has created a scenario where all of the intentions have to be questioned and that can even include ours if people don’t know about this which is why we have to expose it now.

The outlets that push favorable Nvidia content and are less critical receive preferential treatment, such as getting exclusive driver access to publish RTX 5060 previews before launch. However, qualified reviewers with a crucial stance are often blocked from early testing.

Nvidia Employees Rich
Nvidia is one of the world’s largest and most successful tech companies.

This development highlights another problem with Nvidia amid unsatisfactory upgrades over the last 40xx generation and GPU price hikes of up to 10% to 15% amid rising costs, which has bumped the price of its flagship RTX 5090 to $2500.

Do you think Nvidia pressuring reviewers with certain narratives will harm its image in the long run? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Capcom Is Censoring Its Games And Fans Are Not Liking It

Story Highlight
  • Capcom has been censoring its upcoming games despite the fandom’s request not to do so.
  • The company’s localization team in Japan is reportedly staffed with Western activists, which is why there has been much censorship.
  • The fandom is furious over the recent censorship and claims not to buy these games.

Capcom is behind the famous series like Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter. While the developer/publisher is well-known in the gaming industry, it had a lot of trouble a few years ago. It would be fair to say that Resident Evil remakes saved it.

Capcom may have lost its way as it seems to be embracing censorship.

Why it matters: Japanese companies weren’t affected by the West’s propaganda. However, Capcom’s change in plan is concerning, and other Japanese companies may follow suit.

Capcom Censoring Onimusha 2 Remaster
Capcom Has Censored The Onimusha 2 Remaster.

Grummz noticed on Twitter that Capcom is censoring some of its games, but the Japanese aren’t to blame. According to him, the company’s localization team in Japan has been staffed by Western activists for a while now, and they are making such changes.

The user has noticed this in the upcoming Onimusha 2 remaster. The original title did not have censorship, and fans liked that. However, the developer has made several changes in the upcoming remaster, and that has caused massive concerns among the fandom.

How do we get these activists out of Japanese companies and stop them from being able to gatekeep what content we get?

Why does Japan work with woke localizers? Is there no other option?

-Concerned Fans

More Censorship
Capcom Seems To Be More Involved In Censorship of Games.

Recently, Capcom revealed some information about the upcoming game’s remaster. The company adjusted Oyu’s special costume to reduce skin exposure, which again angered a massive fandom.

Normally I would be your target customer. I do not support cowardice or censorship. This is a no buy for me.

This company is also concerned with the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. It censored the female characters but left the male characters as they were. Not only that, but it also censored the art in the Capcom Fighting Collection 2.

What do you think about Capcom consistently censoring its upcoming games? Do you support this agenda? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below or join the Tech4Gamers forum for discussion.

Xbox Holding Internal Tests To Bring Steam Over To Microsoft Store, Says Insider

Story Highlight
  • Insider Extas1s claims that Xbox is now holding internal tests to bring Steam integration to the Microsoft Store.
  • Steam and EGS may become available in the Microsoft Store, and these stores will allegedly also be available on next-gen Xbox consoles.
  • In general, we might see cross-library syncing, shared achievements, and smoother cross-platform integration.

Besides going multiplatform, Xbox is also on its path to becoming more intertwined with PC to grow further. However, the convergence between these two platforms is not limited to theory, as new rumors suggest Steam is coming to the Microsoft Store soon.

Accredited insider Extas1s claims that Xbox has started internal tests to bring Steam over to the Microsoft Store, with the Epic Games Store also being part of the plans. He clarifies that the implications for the future of the ecosystem are immense.

Why it matters: The new claims about Xbox conducting tests to bring Steam and EGS to the Microsoft Store further solidify the rumors that the next Xbox console will be more of a PC-based platform with seamless cross-platform integration.

Microsoft has added ‘Steam Developer Beta’ to its device support software, with limited access for select employees and collaborators, as revealed in a new insider video.

In other words, Steam—and eventually Epic Games Store—games will allegedly be featured on the Microsoft Store on PCs, next-gen Xboxand handheld consoles soon.

users will soon be able to run Steam more smoothly and directly from Windows environments, and eventually even from Xbox environments. […] when you boot up your next-gen Xbox, you’ll have access to Steam without any complex setup.

For those not in the know, another credible insider previously said that the next-gen Xbox will support Steam. However, whether this will be a full client-wide integration or something more grounded is unclear.

gamepass-steam
PC Game Pass could also be coming to Steam in the future.

Therefore, the Microsoft Store might bring features like cross-library syncing, shared achievements, and a smoother cross-platform integration for a seamless experience.

Would the Microsoft Store benefit from proper Steam integration and potential cross-platform access, or would this harm the platform instead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.
