New Job Listing Suggests PlayStation Is Working On Unannounced PvP-Focused MOBA

Story Highlight
  • PlayStation is hiring a Game Tester for an upcoming MOBA title.
  • It appears to be different from the project ‘Gummy Bears’ by Team LFG since the specified job is from a different location.
  • This MOBA title is set to launch on console, PC, and even Mobile.

The first-party PlayStation catalogue has been relatively dry this generation compared to previous cycles, primarily due to the gaming giant’s focus on multiplayer and live-service offerings, which has resulted in a catastrophe. Out of 12 planned releases, PlayStation cancelled 8 games, while the remaining 4 launched titles also suffered a terrible fate.

Now, PlayStation is back on track in becoming a creative leader in single-player experiences. However, this doesn’t mean they’re shying away from multiplayer titles, as Tech4Gamers has stumbled upon a new SIE job listing that appears to be for an unannounced MOBA game.

Why it matters: MOBAs have proven to be highly successful, etc. League of Legends, even more than traditional live-service games, is a beat that PlayStation hasn’t explored thoroughly. Hence, it makes sense why they’re trying to capitalize on this genre.

Game Tester Job For An Upcoming MOBA PvP Action Game That Is Set To Launch On Multiple Platforms

The MOBA Game Test Analyst role requires an understanding of PvP action games with fast-paced gameplay. One of the duties explicitly states:

“Executing test plans on pre-release versions of software,”

Indicating that the game has not yet been released.

The job listing also mentions mobile as a platform alongside PC and console, which aligns with the gaming giant’s strategy to expand into the mobile market.

Furthermore, one of the requirements reads specifically that experience in PvP games such as Smash Bros. and Pokémon Unite is required.

While this is an obvious call towards the rumored project Gummy Bears from Team LFG, the studio is located in Bellevue, WA, and this specific job posting is for the San Diego location.

Currently, it is unclear precisely what the project the job listing is for. Still, we hope to hear more about it officially soon, especially since the title is in the game-testing phase, suggesting it is likely nearing the end of its development.

AMD RX 9070 XT Outsells All Nvidia RTX 50 Series Cards In Germany

Story Highlight
  • AMD’s latest generation of GPUs is giving Nvidia a run for its money.
  • The RX 9070 XT has outsold all Nvidia RTX 50 series cards in Germany.
  • The GPU is even the best seller on Amazon USA as AMD asserts its presence.

Nvidia has been the market leader in the GPU space for as long as one can remember. After years of dominating, the market is now seeing a shift towards AMD as it unarguably provides better value, especially with the current generation.

A new report indicates that AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT outsold all of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 series cards in Germany, becoming the best-selling GPU. Even the RX 9060 XT sold 515 units in just 7 days.

Why it matters: RX 9070 XT is a solid offering as it is much cheaper than Nvidia’s counterparts, and in some cases even goes toe-to-toe against much expensive offerings like the GeForce RTX 5080

AMD Outsold Nvidia
AMD GPUs outsold all of Nvidia and Intel’s stocks combined

This comes from Mindfactory‘s weekly sales report, revealing RX 9070 XT’s supremacy in sales compared to Nvidia. For context, the former sold 925 units this week, compared to all of the RTX 50 series’ 920 units.

Even the second-highest-selling card for the week was the RX 9060 XT with 515 units sold, overtaking the RTX 5070 Ti. In total, AMD shipped 1,560 units and outsold all of Nvidia and Intel’s stocks combined.

The retailer’s complete list of GPUs sold shows that the RTX 5070 Ti was the only Nvidia card that had good enough sales, with 390 units sold, while the rest couldn’t even sell half as many of Nvidia’s upper-midrange GPU.

RX 9070
The RX 9070 XT provides a great value to consumers

RX 9070 XT is also the best seller on Amazon USA, highlighting the shift in the  GPU market. However, Nvidia’s market share is still quite huge as it dominates the Steam charts, but the empire seems to be in danger.

Team Green’s GPUs have had all sorts of issues this year, from complaints of high prices to melting connectors, and not-so-big an upgrade, and more. Nvidia really needs to step up its game with the next generation of its RTX lineup to win back its customers.

The Witcher 4 Won’t Show Up At Game Awards 2025, CDPR Confirms

Story Highlight
  • The Witcher 4 was announced and shown to the world at The Game Awards in 2024.
  • CDPR has confirmed that the RPG won’t return to this event in 2025.
  • It has also been nominated in the ‘Most Anticipated Game’ category at the event.

The Witcher 4 was first announced nearly one year ago at The Game Awards 2024. Since then, much has been revealed about the game, including its ambitious nature and CDPR’s intentions to improve upon core elements like the combat.

With The Game Awards 2025 around the corner and much excitement for the event, many anticipated another showing from CDPR’s upcoming RPG. Unfortunately, The Witcher 4 will not be returning to the show this year.

Why it matters: CDPR entered full production of the game over a year ago, and fans are now looking forward to real-time gameplay.

The Witcher 4 at The Game Awards 2025
The Witcher 4 at The Game Awards 2025

According to Michal Nowakowski, the joint CEO of CDPR, the team will not bring new Witcher 4 content to show off at The Game Awards.

However, the studio is still excited to see all the amazing games and awards at this year’s event. Michal Nowakowski has also thanked fans for voting for The Witcher 4 as The Game Awards’ “Most Anticipated Game.”

While this may disappoint fans who were hoping to learn more about The Witcher 4, the team will certainly have more to share at some point next year. Perhaps the game will even show up with uncut gameplay this time.

For context, CDPR already showed The Witcher 4 for the second time at Unreal Fest 2025 with a tech demo in June. Therefore, it makes sense that the team is in no rush to share more footage at this time.

Anyhow, excitement remains high for The Witcher 4. Fans are also looking forward to CDPR’s sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 Hits 35 Million Sales, Beating The Witcher 3’s Sales In The Same Period

Story Highlight
  • Cyberpunk 2077 has achieved a new milestone, reaching 35 million sales.
  • This milestone means that the RPG has sold 10 million copies in the last two years.
  • CDPR also says that the game is outpacing The Witcher 3 in terms of sales when comparing figures across the same period after launch.

CDPR has shared another round of encouraging news for its latest IPs. The studio previously confirmed that work on the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and The Witcher 4 was moving along at a rapid pace.

Its latest earnings report shows why the team is so motivated at the moment. According to CDPR, Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold 35 million units.

Why it matters: Cyberpunk 2077’s success story is nothing short of a miracle, considering how poorly the game was received at release.

CDPR’s latest earnings report also confirms that Cyberpunk 2077’s latest sales milestone puts it ahead of The Witcher 3 when comparing sales in the same amount of time post-launch.

However, The Witcher 3 still leads as the game with the most sales, boasting over 50 million units sold. As for Cyberpunk 2077, the game has sold a whopping 10 million units in the last two years.

In 2023, CDPR confirmed that the game had sold a total of 25 million units. As such, it’s impressive to see how well the RPG is still doing, and the team has even confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is now its main source of revenue.

35 Million Copies Have Been Sold Now

The studio has also shared that the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel development team has grown by over 10% recently. As such, CDPR is clearly invested in the IP, hoping to do everything it can to ensure its long-term success.

The team has even confirmed another anime adaptation following the success of Studio Trigger’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

God of War Devs’ Secret AAA Project Has Now Hit Mid-Production Milestone

Story Highlight
  • Santa Monica is reportedly working on an unannounced AAA project.
  • A new listing suggests the title has reached its mid-production milestone.
  • A Character Artist is usually required after the game leaves the concept stage.

Primarily known for God of War, the Santa Monica studio is currently working on an unannounced brand-new IP. It seems like the work on the title is going alongside the next God of War mainline and Metroidvania games.

We came across a PlayStation job listing for a ‘Senior Character Technical Artist, suggesting that the secret AAA title has reached mid-production and progressed beyond the concept stage. An artist is usually hired after the concept phase.

Why it matters: The title remains largely a mystery at this point. All we know is that it’s an AAA project and different from God of War, which makes it even more exciting as Santa Monica has always been on the money with its releases.

Santa Monica Job Listing
God of War studio is looking for a Character Artist, hinting that its secret AAA game has reached mid-production.

The listing doesn’t give anything away except that, for people aware of the game development cycle, a Character Artist is usually required when concepts and pre-production are complete, and the project has reached mid-production.

This could also mean the reveal is coming soon. The gaming industry is currently gearing up for the year’s biggest event, The Game Awards, so that Sony could be preparing for a massive announcement.

God of War Egypt
Santa Monica has multiple games in development, including a new God of War and an unannounced AAA title.

Santa Monica also had another AAA game in development that a former Sony executive reportedly canceled. Still, this one seems to have made it alive, and if things go right, we could be hearing about it soon.

The Cost of Free-to-Play: Monetization in Game Design

Story Highlights
  • Free-to-play games are designed to create long-term engagement and encourage in-game spending
  • Players keep revisiting the game for daily missions, rewards and time-limited offers.
  • Optional spending is available in these games in the form of purchasing resources and other in-game items.
  • Monetisation affects everything in these games, from pacing to reward structures.

Free-to-play games are everywhere. They span from PCs to consoles and even mobile devices, having a large appeal to consumers. These games offer numerous benefits, such as no up-front costs, instant access, and a wide range of large communities.

Behind this free-to-play image is a complex design that is shaped by the economics of player spending. These games typically lack straightforward costs, but they encourage consumers to make in-game purchases. Let’s discuss how they do so.

How Monitization Got Embedded In The Design

In traditional paid games, developers typically generate most of the revenue at the time the game is sold. After the acquisition by players, there is minimal focus on monetisation inside the experience.

Free-to-play games flip this model upside down, and today, gamers are helping shape revenue models. In these games, the players enter without paying anything, but the entire game is structured to encourage in-game purchases.

These players are often referred to as whales and are expected to spend enough to support the entire ecosystem. This mismatch between players who pay nothing and those who pay a lot creates a design environment where games are not made solely for fun but also generate engagement, friction, and urgency in players.

These games feature reward loops, progression pacing, difficulty curve, and event timers that help serve the business model and generate steady income.

Progression Pressures Spending

One of the most visible examples of this monetisation shaping design lies in progression systems. In free-to-play games, progression in the game becomes stunted after a certain time. This is the game telling you to spend some money to gain benefits such as boosters, battle passes, or resources, to progress.

When you begin playing, you see that the game is very generous. You clear levels easily, earn more rewards, and gain progress, but later, this is no longer the case. This is not unintentional; it is deliberate on the developers’ part to create friction in the game.

Players can either wait or pay to advance more quickly. Some games also rely on time-limited offers, while many also use randomised loot structures that encourage repeated spending.

Live-Service Engagement

Live-service models increase engagement and rely on constant player retention. Games are designed in a way that encourages players to visit daily or weekly, reflecting the need for monetisation.

By utilising login bonuses, battle passes, and time-limited events, studios such as Ubisoft ensure that players remain engaged in the game. This is done to increase the chances that someone will eventually spend money in the game.

While these loops are enjoyable, they encourage players to check their progress or to chase that special reward that everyone is after. Games like these start to represent curated schedules.

Fortnite, for example, employs a similar structure in the game; there are special events, game passes, and more that encourage dedicated players to make purchases to stay competitive.

Pay To Win

Many free-to-play games avoid incorporating a pay-to-win mechanic, but the temptation is strong. Selling power, exclusive weapons or stats dramatically increases the game’s revenue.

The problem, however, is that these systems tend to ruin the game’s fairness, where those who pay are always on the scoreboard, whereas those who don’t have to struggle for it. Some developers circumvent this issue with careful matchmaking or tuning, but the game inherently becomes unequal once power is sold.

Final Thoughts

People prefer these games, as, unlike AAA games, they are not that expensive, and thus players are attracted to them instead. Studies have shown that most gamers purchase one or two games per year due to the high cost of these games. Free-to-play games need to be monetised fairly.

If the monetisation is aggressive or if the game is unfair, players will avoid it; on the other hand, fair monetisation is okay, and many do spend. The hidden cost of free-to-play games isn’t just financial, it’s how these games shift their structure to support monetisation.

QCY H3S Review: Solid Performance And Comfort

In my entire career as a hardware reviewer, I’ve tested many gaming headsets. More specifically, I’m talking about Corsair, Razer, HyperX, Logitech, and a bunch of others that made their way to my desk over the years. But somehow, I never really got the chance to review a Bluetooth headphone here, not even once, even though I have used many of them personally for my daily use.

Why Trust Tech4Gamers
  • Abdul Hannan is our peripherals expert who has been testing different mice, keyboards, headphones, microphones, and more for years.
  • 130+ peripherals tested and reviewed by our team of hardware experts (Tech4Gamers Team).
  • 500+ hours spent testing different peripherals for our reviews.
  • Objective testing criteria (See how we test peripherals).

At Tech4Gamers, ensuring you get reliable information is our priority. That’s why every hardware round-up undergoes a meticulous review process by our team of experts and editors. Each review is carefully examined against our strict editorial guidelines, guaranteeing you trustworthy insights you can depend on.

So when QCY reached out and sent over their H3S, it felt like getting my hands on a category I’ve been interested in reviewing for a long time. Honestly speaking, I’m really excited to see what this Bluetooth headphone brings to the table in terms of comfort, sound quality, and overall daily use.

Key Takeaways

  • The QCY H3S is a dependable, comfortable, and well-rounded pair of headphones that can keep up with pretty much anything you throw at it in your daily routine.
  • You should buy the QCY H3S if you prioritize comfort fit and appreciate solid sound quality on a budget.
  • You should skip the QCY H3S if you need premium build materials and want top-tier ANC or mic performance.

What Makes QCY H3S Different?

QCY made the H3S a meaningful step up from its earlier models, like the QCY H3 and H3 Pro. While those predecessors offered respectable battery life and basic ANC, the H3S takes things further with a far better 56 dB of ANC and provides up to 102 hours of playtime with ANC off.

Packaging

The packaging for the QCY H3S has a front design that showcases the headphone’s image and a few key features. On the sides, it features QCY branding and a tagline that reads “Be Creative, Go Beyond.” Then, on the back, it includes the technical specifications and the manufacturer’s information.

Unboxing

Unboxing
Unboxing

The QCY H3S box opens from the top. When you unbox it, you’ll find the insert that most headphone boxes include. It’s a flexible holder that keeps the product in place during shipping. Once you get it out of the box, the headphones are folded, which prevents them from moving around. On one side, there’s a small designated spot with the Type-C charging cable and the user manual.

Design

QCY has been sticking to a pretty recognizable design language over the past few releases, and the H3S follows that same clean pattern. At first look, it feels like a nice mix between the minimal style you see in higher-end headphones and the slightly playful design QCY is known for. They didn’t go for anything flashy or over-the-top here. The pair I have is the all-black version, which honestly fits right into my day-to-day usage.

I usually stick to darker outfits, and even my tech tends to follow that theme, so having a headphone that matches everything I wear without trying too hard is a small but satisfying touch. For people who like a little more variety, QCY also offers the H3S in white and gray variants. The white gives off a lighter vibe, while the gray sits somewhere in the middle. It is a nice option if you don’t want something too bright, but also don’t want to go full black.

Aesthetically, the H3S looks good both up close and from a distance. It’s the kind of headphone that doesn’t scream for attention, but still feels put together. If you’re someone who throws on a random T-shirt and jeans in the morning and rushes out the door, this is the sort of headphone that won’t clash with anything. On the other hand, if you’re the type who actually plans your outfit, the black version especially has that safe but stylish vibe that makes it a reliable everyday companion.

Comfort

Comfort is honestly one of the first things I pay attention to when I’m testing any pair of headphones, because good looks don’t really matter if you can’t wear them for more than half an hour. When it comes to comfort, I wasn’t expecting much from the QCY H3S. Mainly because many budget-friendly headphones tend to feel stiff or a bit too tight. But after wearing these for a couple of hours straight, I realized QCY actually put some thought into how these would sit on our heads.

The first thing I noticed is how lightweight they feel at just 240g. You know that moment when you take off a heavy pair of headphones and your head feels relieved? Fortunately, this isn’t the case here. The H3S rests gently without pressing too hard on the sides, which is something I really appreciate during long listening sessions or even while writing reviews late at night. With them, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I forgot I even had them on.

Even though these fall in the same price bracket as many compact on-ear headphones, the H3S is actually an over-ear design. That instantly gives it an upper edge in comfort. My ears aren’t exactly small, so on-ear models usually end up pressing on the edges and become annoying pretty fast. Here, the earcups fully go around my ears instead of sitting on them, and that alone makes a big difference. Lastly, the ear cushions are made from protein leather, and they feel soft, while the inner area uses a fabric that feels a bit like cotton.

Build Quality

When it comes to build quality, the QCY H3S sits in that interesting middle ground where you can immediately tell it’s affordable, yet it still feels a lot better than its price suggests. It’s mostly made of plastic, which is honestly expected at this price point, but the way QCY handles it doesn’t make the headphone feel cheap. The entire outer shell from the headband sliders to the buttons shares the same matte finish and uniform color. It gives the whole thing a cohesive look, and it actually feels nicer on the head than I expected.

After using it regularly for a few weeks, the pair still looks relatively clean. I’m usually pretty careful with my devices, but even then, matte black finishes can pick up fingerprints or dust quickly. Luckily, a quick wipe now and then keeps the H3S looking fresh. The headband has a reassuring level of flexibility. You can stretch it a little without feeling like it’s going to snap. The sliders use a stainless steel strip, which gives the adjustment mechanism a more premium feel compared to all-plastic builds.

It adds a bit of sturdiness, especially if you’re someone who casually stretches the headband when putting on the headphones. The folding hinges also feel flexible. They fold inward smoothly and don’t wobble or give that cheap grinding sensation you sometimes get with budget headphones. It’s always good news if you’re someone who usually throws your headphones into a backpack or wears them around your neck while walking.

Control Scheme

The controls on the QCY H3S are surprisingly user-friendly. Every button is placed on the right earcup in a spot your hand naturally reaches, so you never have that moment where you’re tapping the wrong side and wondering why nothing’s happening. What really helps is that each button has its own shape. The ANC button at the top has this short, rounded rectangle shape. Right below it is the multi-function circular button, and then you have the longer, rounded rectangle button for volume adjustments.

Because each one feels different under your finger, you don’t end up pressing something by accident. Once you get used to the layout, the multifunction button becomes the one you use most. It handles the basics, like powering the headphones on and off or pairing. For music controls, a single press of that same button pauses or resumes whatever you’re listening to. To go to the next song in your playlist, hold the volume-up button for a moment. Similarly, pressing the volume-down button takes you back to the previous one.

It’s pretty convenient when you’re sitting at your desk and don’t want to reach for your phone. Moreover, call handling works just as smoothly. The multifunction button lets you answer or end calls with one press. For instance, if someone calls and you’re not in the mood to talk, holding the button for a couple of seconds rejects the call. I tried this a few times, and the headphones responded immediately, with no weird delays. There are also a couple of extra features included, and thankfully, they all don’t feel overcomplicated.

Connectivity

USB-C Cable
USB-C Cable

The QCY H3S is a step ahead of most budget headphones by using Bluetooth 6.0. When you power them on, they connect to your phone almost instantly, and the connection feels noticeably more stable compared to older Bluetooth versions. Walking around the room, leaving my phone on the table, or even keeping it in my pocket didn’t cause any signal dips. Moreover, Bluetooth 6.0 also helps with latency when I was scrolling through TikTok or watching YouTube. The audio synced perfectly with what was happening on screen.

Similarly, when you switch to Game Mode, the delay tightens even further. Surely, it won’t replace a wired gaming headset, but for casual gaming on your phone, it’s responsive. There’s no awkward delay between gunshots. To pair, press and hold the multi-function button for a couple of seconds. Then, the headphones wake up and instantly shift into pairing mode, signaled by a brief white flash. From there, it’s the usual routine, where you open Bluetooth settings on your phone, look for “QCY H3S,” and tap to connect.

If you’ve already paired them before, they reconnect on their own the moment you power them on. Additionally, if you ever need to reset the connection or pair to something new, holding the same button for four seconds puts them back into pairing mode. There’s also support for dual-device connection, which can be really handy if you switch between your phone and laptop throughout the day. You can enable this feature inside the QCY app, though it’s worth noting that it can’t be used at the same time as LDAC.

Sound Performance

Sound specs can look good on paper, but what really matters is how they hold up in regular day-to-day use. With the QCY H3S, many of those bold claims actually translate into real-world performance. Starting with ANC, this is very capable for this price range. When I switched it on during a usual evening outside. Most of the low-frequency rumble sounds like traffic noise, distant honking, and the general buzz of the street got blocked out sufficently. Indoors, especially in a library or a quiet room, the ANC works even better.

Voices aren’t entirely eliminated, but they drop to a muffled level where they’re easy to ignore. Moreover, instead of relying on a single large driver to handle everything, QCY uses a 40mm dynamic driver for the lows and mids and a 13mm tweeter for the highs. In practice, this results in the headphones having a clean frequency response. You can notice this especially in tracks with layered production. The bass comes through clearly, while the upper details stay crisp instead of getting swallowed.

It feels intentionally spacious rather than congested. You can actually tell the drivers are doing their job separately rather than blending into one blurry sound blob. Notably, 360° Spatial Sound adds another layer to the listening experience. It’s not the kind of movie theater surround sound some brands exaggerate, but it does widen the stage noticeably. When you switch the mode on while watching or playing games, the audio spreads out, making directional cues clearer and giving vocals a little more air.

Microphone Quality

The microphone on the QCY H3S uses an AI-powered 7-mic array with three anti-wind mics and a DNN algorithm. In everyday use, the microphone is adequate. It is not bad, not amazing, just somewhere in the middle. I’d say it’s average in a good way, meaning it gets the job done without turning your voice into a mess. Indoors, it performs exactly how you’d expect. It is clear enough for Zoom calls, WhatsApp voice chats, or gaming with your friends. Nobody complained about not hearing me or about me sounding muffled either.

Battery Life

Status
Status

QCY claims up to 102 hours of playtime with ANC off and around 58 hours with ANC on, thanks to the hefty 750 mAh battery. Honestly, I was skeptical at first that sounds almost too good to be true, but after testing it in real-life scenarios, I can confirm it’s genuinely impressive. During long work sessions, I stream music for about 6 to 7 straight hours while writing, and the battery only dropped from full charge to 70%. The charging experience is equally convenient, and thanks to the USB-C port, you can even listen while charging.

Software

The QCY H3S gets a major usability upgrade with the QCY App, available on both iOS and Android. As soon as the headphones pair, the app identifies them instantly and opens up a neat interface showing the battery level. Right next to it is sound mode switching, where I spent most of my time experimenting. Between Music, Game, and Movie modes, each setting has its own unique sound. None of the modes feel gimmicky, as each one has a clear use case depending on what you’re doing.

Moreover, it also gives you access to a customizable EQ. You can stick with the presets or manually adjust the settings if you’re particular about how your music should sound. I found myself tweaking it a couple of times to get the highs a bit smoother and add some warmth to the bass, depending on the genre I was listening to. Lastly, instead of long-pressing buttons and hoping you’re switching to the correct mode, the app lets you switch between ANC, Transparency, and Normal mode with a single tap.

Should You Buy It or Not?

Buy it if

You prioritize comfort and fit: The QCY H3S is lightweight and designed as an over-ear headphone, making it comfortable for long listening sessions.

You appreciate solid sound quality on a budget: Thanks to the dual-driver setup and adaptive ANC, the H3S delivers clear highs, punchy lows, and a reasonably spacious soundstage.

Don’t buy it if

You need premium build materials: Most of the H3S is plastic, and while it feels sturdy, it doesn’t have the premium metal or high-end finishes.

You want top-tier ANC or mic performance: The noise cancellation is suitable for its class, but it won’t completely block all voices in noisier environments, and the microphone is average rather than exceptional.

Final Verdict

By the time I wrapped up my testing, one thing became pretty obvious. The QCY H3S is very much a budget-friendly pair of headphones, but it doesn’t really behave like one. It has a low price point of $59.99, which is the kind of number that almost makes you doubt whether the brand can genuinely deliver all the features it advertises. Yet somehow, they’ve managed to provide a well-rounded experience that genuinely impressed me in daily use. It may not be the flashiest option on the shelf, but as a whole package, recommending it is very easy.

Job Listings Suggest Beyond Good and Evil 2 Not Coming Anytime Soon Despite Years of Delays

Story Highlight
  • Beyond Good and Evil 2 was first announced in 2008, 17 years ago.
  • The title has seen a peculiar development cycle with delays and internal reboots.
  • New job listings suggest that it’s still not likely to come out anytime soon.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of the most curious Ubisoft cases in years. It was first announced 17 years ago, after the critical success of the first game. However, since then, it has undergone a peculiar development cycle and is still nowhere in sight.

According to multiple job listings found by Tech4Gamers, including those for a Technical Sound Designer and Senior Character ArtistBeyond Good and Evil 2 is likely still years away, has yet to enter the final polishing stage, and still appears to be somewhere in the middle of the development.

Why it matters: After so many years, fans might have forgotten that the game exists, but they will be glad to know it’s still alive, although the release remains a huge question mark.

We came across a couple of Ubisoft job listings recently. As mentioned earlier, these include the ‘Technical Sound Designer‘ and ‘Senior Character Artist‘ for Beyond Good and Evil 2.

For context, character design and sound design are typically completed during a game’s early to mid-development cycle. However, since Ubisoft is still seeking individuals to do these things, it suggests that the game’s completion is still a considerable time away.

They aren’t even done with character designing, which is a basic step to begin with. Remarkably, the studio hasn’t canceled the game as many expected, given the many years it has taken.

This means it has also cost them a lot, and they would be hoping to capitalize on the final product.

However, the final product doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon; the only positive thing is that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still alive. Over the years, it has been delayed and internally rebooted, but it’s still here.

Next Tomb Raider Title Heavily Reworked To Improve Characters, Features Lara Croft At Her Prime

Story Highlight
  • Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider has been reworked to improve characters and features a mature Lara Croft.
  • The game’s open world features biomes like harsh deserts, cliffs, jungles, and icy mountains.
  • Previous leaks revealed that it is set in Northern India and will let you ally with characters for team gameplay.

The multiple waves of layoffs at Crystal Dynamics this year have made fans skeptical about the state of its Tomb Raider game, as there has been no release date announced over the years. The AAA title is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, with Amazon Games as its publisher.

However, a massive scoop by a reliable insider suggests that the project is safe after all. V Scooper on Twitter clarifies that the project has been heavily reworked to improve the characters. Lara Croft is also portrayed at her prime and her career’s peak.

Why it matters: The new scoops confirm that the AAA Tomb Raider experience being developed in Unreal Engine 5 is still alive and well despite there being no mention of a release date for many years.

Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider details were leaked by V Scooper.

The trusted insider reiterates on Twitter that the new Tomb Raider title is set in an open world. It will feature biomes like harsh deserts, cliffs, abundant jungles, and icy mountains. Additionally, this will be paired with Lara’s ‘more agile and expressive traversal.’

So, we can expect Lara to be more acrobatic and mature, as the game will also offer more strategic ways to deal with enemies non-lethally. There will also be a motorcycle for traversing around the open world.

Tomb Raider’s story also revolves around forming alliances with in-game characters and learning the importance of teamwork.

The Tomb Raider project by Crystal Dynamics has been highly anticipated for years.

The narrative will allegedly be about Lara hunting Ashoka’s mythical weapons that grant conquest power, racing against the Society of Raiders and other rivals to find powerful relics.

Leaks last year also revealed that Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider takes place in Northern India.

V Scooper is a trusted Hollywood leaker who has also been revealing interesting scoops about the Tomb Raider project over the years. Although we suggest taking the report with cautious optimism until official confirmation.

Bungie Is Finally Working On Destiny 3, Leaker Reveals

Story Highlight
  • A reliable Destiny leaker and dataminer reveals that Destiny 3 is in extremely early development.
  • It is expected to launch after 5 years, with full development beginning after Bungie finishes Destiny 2.
  • More about the project will be leaked over the coming months.

Destiny 2 is one of the longest-running live-service titles, which has seen plenty of praise and criticism over the years due to underwhelming DLCs. So the fans have been asking Bungie to move on and produce the next game in the franchise for many years at this point.

Now, it seems that besides working on Marathon, a separate team at Bungie is also already developing Destiny 3. This leak comes from a reliable Destiny leaker who claims that the next iteration is in extremely early development.

Why it matters: Bungie developing the next iteration of Destiny is excellent news for the community that has grown tired of Destiny 2’s convoluted experience over the years. Fans hope the studio will draw on the best of the franchise for Destiny 3.

Destiny 3 Leaked.
A Destiny dataminer has leaked that Bungie is working on Destiny 3.

Insider Colony Deaks clarifies that Destiny 3 is just beginning to take shape. Bungie will only prioritize it wholly after it is done with Destiny 2, which will take a while since the Fate Saga will last for at least two more years.

With the Fate saga going for at least 2 more years id say its around a 5 year goal. With full dev picking up after D2 finishes.

The leaker believes that Bungie is targeting a 5-year goal for Destiny 3 if things progress smoothly. We can expect Bungie to launch its other new project, Marathon, first, which has already been in plenty of controversy of its own.

Colony Deaks has delivered impressive scoops over the years, including some about Marathon, so his words are considered reliable among the community. However, we still suggest taking them with a pinch of salt until official confirmation.

destiny 2
Destiny 2 has experienced highs and lows since its release.

Bungie has also been in murky waters over the years, with rumors suggesting it will soon be fully absorbed by Sony. Therefore, the fans are concerned about how Marathon and Destiny 3 will turn out over the years.

Do you think Destiny 3 will turn out to be much different from its controversial predecessor? Will Bungie also make it free-to-play? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Death Stranding 2 PC Port Has Been Rated By The ESRB

Story Highlight
  • Death Stranding 2 has been rated by the ESRB for PC, signaling that a release is coming soon.
  • ESRB has rated the title Mature 17+ for PC.
  • The sequel has been out on PS5 since June and could potentially head to PC in 2026.

2025 has blessed gamers with a flurry of great releases, with generational titles like Expedition 33 making it a year to remember. Arguably, the most ambitious game this year was none other than Death Stranding 2 from Hideo Kojima.

The Japanese auteur somehow outdid himself once again by creating one of the best sequels in the medium’s history. And now, millions of PC players will get to play the action-adventure title sooner rather than later.

Why it matters: A universally acclaimed title like Death Stranding 2 deserves to be experienced by a broad player base.

Death Stranding 2 ESRB
Death Stranding 2 is set to launch on PC in the near future.

The ESRB has rated Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PC, suggesting a release on the platform is imminent. The game is unsurprisingly rated Mature 17+ due to strong language, violence, and a lot of bloody gore, just like the PS5 version.

PC players have been clamoring to play Death Stranding 2 ever since its initial release in June. And they won’t have to wait much longer, as historically ESRB ratings are finalised in a few months, like Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series.

The Kojima Productions sequel has earned universal acclaim, raising the bar for video game visuals, with many even mistaking the photorealistic characters for real life.

Death Stranding 2
Death Stranding 2 earned universal acclaim from fans and critics.

In addition, more than 80% of users continued playing even after finishing the game, which is highly uncommon. But unsurprisingly, Hideo Kojima was still unhappy with this result since he considers Death Stranding 2 just ok

Sony could also use the extra profit from the PC port, as the lack of sales figures for Death Stranding 2 suggests it is struggling to meet the company’s internal expectations.
