Following Silent Hill: Townfall’s impressive reviews, it’s become clear that the IP is on a winning streak.
In addition to Silent Hill 2’s success, other releases like Silent Hill F have received plenty of praise. Due to its current winning streak, the Silent Hill franchise appears to be set for multiple new games in the future.
Why it matters: Konami returned to AAA gaming only a few years ago, and Silent Hill was one of the key reasons for its success in recent years.
According to series producer Motoi Okamoto via Game Observer’s report, Konami is not done with Silent Hill just yet.
The producer has said the company is looking at a number of projects after the first wave of the franchise’s revival proved successful. He teases that Konami has plans for waves two and three.
As such, fans can expect multiple new entries for the horror franchise in the coming years.
We’re not stopping here; we must think of the second and third waves.
Fans can expect both original titles and remakes from Konami as part of its plans for the future of the series. Perhaps the gaming giant will deliver yet another exceptional re-release on par with Silent Hill 2 Remake in the future.
