- Rockstar reportedly says GTA 6 is so big that even its developers have not seen every part of it.
- The comment points to a massive open world, though it does not confirm exact map size or activity count.
- This adds more fuel to expectations that GTA 6 will be Rockstar’s most ambitious release so far.
GTA 6 is shaping up to be the gaming industry’s most ambitious project to date, and the title will certainly be bigger than anything Rockstar Games has produced so far. In fact, the team suggests that the game is so big that it has yet to see all of what it has to offer.
Why it matters: No game might be able to match GTA 6 in scope for years to come, and this has become more evident than ever before following the game’s latest previews.

Speaking to IGN, Rockstar Games’ Rob Nelson suggested that GTA 6 is on such a huge scale that even the developers working on it have yet to see everything in the game.
Describing why this is so, the Rockstar North co-studio head noted that when playing GTA 6, a piece of Jason’s dialogue motivated him to change course when heading to a robbery.
He explained that this piece of dialogue was one he hadn’t come across before, so others on the team are unlikely to have seen everything or even most of what GTA 6 has to offer so far.
The game is so big, I don’t know anybody on the team that knows all of it.

GTA 6 has been expected to push Rockstar’s open-world formula much further than GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Rob Nelson’s latest comment further cements that this is the case, so fans couldn’t be any more excited for the game.
