Gameplay For Scorpion And Johnny Cage!

Mortal Kombat 1 will be officially released on September 19 worldwide, and the anticipation for the title is increasing with each passing day. Summer Game Fest 2023 revealed the first gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, and a network test has also allowed many fans to play the game since then.

Previously, the developer hosted Kombat Kasts leading up to the launch of new Mortal Kombat games. These streams feature new gameplay and deep dives into gameplay mechanics. The Kombat Kast is returning for Mortal Kombat 1.

As such, more gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1 will be shown on July 6.

Why it matters: The Mortal Kombat franchise is among the most popular fighting game IPs. Mortal Kombat 11 made over $500 million in profit, highlighting the title’s success.

The Kombat Kast will air on July 6 at 10 a.m. PT and focus on the Kameo system.

Additionally, NetherRealm Studios will show new gameplay breakdowns for Scorpion and Johnny Cage. While fans have already seen plenty of footage from other characters, Scorpion and Johnny Cage have only been featured briefly in the first trailer.

Therefore, the Kombat Kast will provide an opportunity to learn more about the iconic characters. Mortal Kombat 1 is dropping the variation system from the previous games, replacing it with Kameos.

The developers will elaborate on this new system during the stream.

NetherRealm Studios has not confirmed the length of the stream yet. However, the Kombat Kasts for Mortal Kombat 11 lasted around an hour, and the developer may take a similar approach for the new title.

The breakdown will be streamed on NetherRealm’s Twitch account, so fans can tune in to learn more about the game. The developer has planned plenty of post-launch support for the title, and the Kombat Kasts will provide just a glimpse at the vision for the future of Mortal Kombat.
