RX 5700 XT Vs GTX 1080 Ti: Which One Would I Recommend?
GTX 1080 Ti: I would recommend going for the GTX 1080 Ti if you find a killer deal on it. It has a massive 11 GB VRAM, which means it can still handle the majority of today’s unoptimized titles very well.
RX 5700 XT: I would recommend RX 5700 XT if you need longer driver support and newer architecture. It was released two years later than the GTX 1080 Ti, so it is ahead in both these aspects. It is also a better bang for the buck since it costs significantly less, while the performance is on par with the GTX 1080 Ti. The 8 GB VRAM may seem a little underwhelming in 2023, but it is still enough for even some of the most demanding titles at the 1080p resolution.
From as long as my memory serves, the RX 5700 XT and GTX 1080 Ti were the best GPUs both AMD and Nvidia had to offer for the longest time. In my personal opinion, they both are very capable GPUs that aged very well. However, which one I would recommend would come down to your use case.
