- Rebel Wolves confirms that Blood of Dawnwalker has already topped 1 million copies.
- The title from ex-Witcher developers achieved the milestone in just 2 days.
- The studio already revealed its plans to turn the title into a full franchise.
When former developers of The Witcher 3 created the studio Rebel Wolves, fans were eagerly waiting for their first title. They unveiled Blood of Dawnwalker last year, and it’s finally here and has already become a commercial success.
Rebel Wolves has announced that Blood of Dawnwalker has already sold 1 million copies in just a couple of days since its release. It has also been a hit with the audience, garnering “Very Positive” Steam reviews.
Why it matters: Even from the very early trailer, it was quite apparent that the game borrowed a lot of inspiration from The Witcher 3, but the studio has also made it unique enough to give it its own identity.

Just 2 days in, the RPG is already at over 1 million copies sold and counting. It also had a decent enough start on Steam with around 65K peak concurrent players, and again both the critics’ and audience scores are really positive.
Rebel Wolves already revealed plans to turn the game into a proper franchise if the first game succeeds. Based on the current numbers, the studio would already be pondering ideas for the sequel, which is more likely than ever now.

What makes the title really unique is its 30-day and 30-night cycle. You need to complete the main story in between that time. It also has high flexibility, as you can even storm the final boss’s castle right after beginning.
