As shown by BrutalSam, the GTA 5 prologue now runs between 40 and 60FPS on the PS5 emulator KyTy. This is important because it wasn’t long ago that the game was booted on a different emulator for the first time.
Many in the comments have noted that GTA 5 is extremely easy to emulate, and it can be played on mobile devices today. Still, the fact that PS5 emulation is able to play the game is an encouraging sign, particularly because the console still has many exclusives that have yet to arrive on PC.
Other tweets from the same user showcase the emulator making progress in games like Silent Hill: The Short Message and Astro Bot. Although neither of these games has become playable like GTA 5, the team is quickly moving forward with consistent effort.
If PS5 emulation remains consistent, it could eventually rival a more consistent emulator like ShadPS4, which also became popular in recent years.
