After a dry first-party portfolio for a while, Xbox is finally cooking up a storm planned for the upcoming Games Showcase 2025 event. The company has shown interest in developing new IPs, but many unannounced titles are already on the way for this year.
Rumors about Xbox working on multiple unannounced titles have existed for a while. Now, notable insider Jez Corden confirms that ‘a variety’ of them will be shown in the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.
Why it matters: The insider confirms that Xbox will soon unleash a huge roster of games after a disappointing start this generation. It’s unclear whether these unannounced titles are far into development.
In the new report, Jez Corden says that these unannounced game reveals will include both first-party and third-party studios. Since Xbox is raking in huge amounts of cash from its multiplatform strategy, ‘interesting new projects’ are about to emerge from them soon.
I’m expecting a variety of fully unannounced games to debut during the Xbox Showcase, both from Microsoft’s own studios, as well as partnerships with external developers.
According to a bunch of rumors, some of these unannounced games could be the new Forza Horizon, Spyro 4, a Ghostwire Tokyo sequel, and a Fallout 3 remake.
Jez also says that Xbox executives are now confident in the Sea of Thieves studio’s new game, Everwild. It is now on track, and we may see it later this year. Additionally, Gears of War: E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, Perfect Dark, and Fable could also make an appearance.
For those not in the know, the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 debuts on June 8, followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct.
