The veteran designer marked the occasion of his 63rd birthday with a public message reflecting on creativity and his future in the industry. As he turns 63, Hideo Kojima has also been working as a game designer for 40 years now.
Kojima, best known as the creator of Metal Gear and Death Stranding, acknowledged his age in the birthday message but made it clear that he does not see retirement as an immediate step.
The developer currently has more ideas than ever but also understands that he has less time left to make them. He believes that quitting right now is not an option, since many projects are already underway at Kojima Productions.
These include the likes of the stealth-action title Physint and the upcoming OD, which utilizes Xbox Cloud Gaming for something brand new.
