Getting Review Bombed Again!

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has quickly become a controversial release. A few hours after its launch, the game was flooded with negative reviews on Steam due to the state of the PC port.

Pre-release footage and reviews showed concerns about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s poor PC port, yet the fans were highly disappointed on launch. However, the game ran better on PS5, even if the console versions had their own issues.

Following plenty of negative Steam reviews, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is facing another wave of negative reviews, this time on Metacritic.

At the time of writing, the user score on PC is standing at 1.4/10. This is an extremely low score, and it will likely continue to fall until something is done to address the reviews or the issues with the game.

While these reviews are understandable for PC, fans have also review-bombed the PS5 release.

The issues with the PC port have been documented well enough, but PS5 reviews are also complaining about the game’s performance, along with issues like the broken HDR implementation on the console.

This is interesting because Star Wars Jedi: Survivor received excellent reviews from critics, highlighted by the Metacritic score. The PS5 version was a popular choice for critics, so it is surprising to see this version receiving negative reviews.

It is also possible that the frustration from the PC release has led to negative reviews for PS5. Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that fans are disappointed with Respawn Entertainment’s latest release.

Following the outrage, EA apologized and promised to fix the issues on PC. EA has promised to release patches for the issues, but they may not be coming anytime soon due to the number of problems with the game.

What do you think of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor getting review bombed again? Have you tried the game yet? Let’s discuss this in the comments.
