Price And Value
GPU RX 9070 RTX 4070 Ti Super Price Difference
Launch MSRP 💲549 💲799 45.54%
Current Price 💲853 💲1371 60.73%
The price of the RX 9070 is currently almost twice as much as its MSRP, but it still is much cheaper than the RTX 4070 Ti Super. Though the current situation of the market means that neither card is a good deal, the 61% price hike on the RTX 4070 Ti Super against the RX 9070 makes the latter seem like one.
What We Recommend
RX 9070: We live in times of mediocre releases and absurd price hikes, but the RX 9070 aims to rectify this. It performs very well for its MSRP. AMD has made significant improvements when it comes to RT, but it still falls behind Nvidia and the same could be said for its productivity performance.
RTX 4070 Ti Super: If this card had been discounted because of its age instead of scalped to oblivion, the RTX 4070 Ti Super might’ve competed well with the RX 9070. However, with the current state of the market, we can’t recommend this card unless you absolutely need its extra performance.
For most users, the RX 9070 is the better choice, offering strong performance at a much lower price. The RTX 4070 Ti Super isn’t worth it at current prices unless you specifically need its extra power.
Getting a 500-watt PSU to use with the RX 9070 wouldn’t be a good idea as it comes in lower than the suggested size of 550 watts. Yes, it will work with both cards, though the RX 9070 will be able to take full advantage of it because it supports that connector. The RTX 4070 Ti supper can be used with a single 16-pin power connector, though the RX 9070 needs dual 8-pin connectors. Yes, PCIe is fully backward compatible, so a PCIe 4.0 motherboard will support a PCIe 5.0 card. The RTX 4070 Ti Super is a year and two months older than the RX 9070, though the original 4070 Ti is over two years older. FAQs
