Sony Wants Feedback On PS Plus Following Latest Price Revision!

Story Highlight
  • PlayStation recently increased PS Plus prices by up to 12% for the 1-month and 3-month plans.
  • The gaming giant is now sending out surveys to gauge customer satisfaction regarding the subscription.
  • General feedback on social media has been largely negative following the new pricing update.

PS Plus has recently gone through its latest price adjustment, making the service more expensive following similar price adjustments in the past. In fact, higher prices have become a common theme for PlayStation, with the PS5 and PS5 Pro also becoming more expensive recently.

Following the latest price adjustments, Sony now appears to be sending out surveys regarding PS Plus in order to gather feedback.

Why it matters: PS Plus is necessary for online gameplay on PS5, making it effectively mandatory for a large chunk of the console’s user base.

PS Plus Has Become Quite Expensive Over Time

As a reminder, Sony updated PS Plus prices for the 1-month and 3-month plans across the board earlier this month. This means that the service is now anywhere from $1 for 1 month of PS Plus Essential to $5 for 3 months of PS Plus Premium, more expensive.

According to reports, PlayStation’s latest survey asks gamers whether they are satisfied with the subscription. Although the new pricing isn’t explicitly mentioned here, Sony is likely trying to gauge audience reactions to these changes through this survey.

The survey also inquires whether games are likely to renew their subscription once it expires, in addition to asking for feedback on improving PS Plus. Finally, the survey asks gamers whether they are satisfied with the many features of the service, including the monthly games, online gameplay, etc.

Based on the feedback, the gaming giant could decide on the future direction for this service.

It’s hard to say what type of feedback PlayStation will receive from this survey, but reactions to the price hike were largely negative on the announcement’s social media posts.

Many pointed out that PS Plus prices had gone up at a time when Game Pass prices came down. Others also noted that they would either cancel their subscription altogether or downgrade to the Essential tier for the basic multiplayer privilege.
