Due to his past and current efforts, he has joined the top 100 most influential people of 2023.
Today the American news magazine Time announced the list of the top 100 most influential people of 2023 in the world, and Hidetaka Miyazaki was selected, which is an excellent achievement for the industry.
Moreover, he is only the second Japanese developer to be selected in the world’s top 100 most influential people. The other one is the famous developer at Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, who was chosen in 2007.
Hidetaka Miyazaki has achieved this influence thanks to his continuous drive to innovate in the industry. This is largely why Elden Ring dominated 2022, as it offered fresh experiences for many gamers.
The developer is now looking up to multiplayer games. He wants to stay updated with modern technology to provide a new style of game. He said:
“I’m really interested in that as one of the fans and one of the creators. Especially speaking of Escape from Tarkov, for example.”
He did not go into the details of his next game, but it is clear that Miyazaki finds Escape from Tarkov compelling as a multiplayer game. He may be aiming to create a unique experience once again, this time focusing more on the multiplayer aspects.
