- Take-Two confirmed they’ve had staggering pre-orders for GTA 6, with the Ultimate Edition selling more.
- A new report confirms that the $100 edition holds nearly 90% of the overall share of pre-orders.
- This is a huge number, and 4x higher than the industry’s average 10-20% share.
Take-Two and Rockstar are preparing to have their biggest year ever with the release of GTA 6 in November. The company revealed that they’ve recorded staggering pre-order numbers, and fans love the premium edition even more.
A digital intelligence firm has corroborated all the previous reports and revealed that a massive 89% of GTA 6 sales have been for the $100 Ultimate edition, which is 4x higher than the industry average.
Why it matters: The Ultimate Edition for the title provides a lot of additional things, including cosmetics, properties, and vehicles. Additionally, there are a couple of exclusive missions and activities.

Gamesindustry (via Sensor Tower) reports that 89% of GTA 6 sales have been for the Ultimate Edition, making the more expensive version the preferred choice, which was also confirmed by the Take-Two CEO.
I have never seen a 90% premium share before. A 50% premium share during preorders is a great number. Typical premium shares for games tend to be at around 10-20%.

Moreover, the firm representative stated that the premium editions always sell better in pre-order because it’s always the biggest fans who purchase them, but this nearly 90% figure is something never seen before.
This is 4x more than the industry average. A 50% premium share is considered excellent; however, the average range is around 10-20%. GTA 6 numbers have absolutely crushed the average and risen above it.
