- Bungie’s Head of Product has hinted at a Destiny 1 Remaster and PC port.
- Ever since Destiny 2 shut down, fans have been asking to bring back the franchise.
- Since the original game never released on PC, the remaster could be a great idea.
Bungie has been struggling lately with its latest Marathon falling apart and Destiny 2 getting shut down. Despite all this, the studio seems to be going, and they might even be hinting at one of the most-demanded games from the studio.
The original Destiny was a console exclusive and never made its way over to PC. However, now a Bungie executive has officially teased a Destiny 1 Remaster and a PC port via a cryptic post replying to a gameplay video.
Why it matters: Since Destiny 2 seems to be gone for good, and the franchise still has a huge loyal fan base, this could be a great move by the studio and, if done correctly, could help win back its players’ lost trust.
Seems like a pretty game, wonder if it will do well… https://t.co/u1Jk6f4quc pic.twitter.com/e1G9NZeU2g

A fan posted a video of Destiny 1 running on PC at 4K 60 FPS, to which Bungie’s Head of Product responded with a cryptic post. He stated that it seems like a pretty game; wonder if it’ll do well, with a GIF of a person eating popcorn.
This is a clear indication that something is going on, and the exec does want fans to speculate. Since native PC support for the game doesn’t exist, it in theory could explode if Bungie is actually doing a remaster.

Also, based on how much demand there has been to bring Destiny back, it won’t be surprising if the studio does end up making the remaster. However, for now, take this with a grain of salt, as it’s just speculation.
