- WB Games expects Hogwarts Legacy 2 to be a major future release.
- The company says its gaming division will experience growth thanks to titles like the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy sequel.
- WB Games intends to focus on a set of IPs it considers worth $1 billion.
WB Games saw immense success with Hogwarts Legacy in 2023, and the gaming giant hasn’t been able to replicate a similar level of success since then.
However, with Hogwarts Legacy 2 currently in development, the gaming giant expects to see yet another massive release. In fact, Warner Bros. is hoping to see plenty of growth in its games division thanks to this title.
Why it matters: Hogwarts Legacy has sold upwards of 40 million units, generating more than $2 billion in total.

WB Games’ recent letter to shareholders via Game Rant highlights how the company currently feels about Hogwarts Legacy 2.
The gaming giant praised recent releases like Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight in this letter, noting that it intends to focus on specific franchises moving forward. This, of course, includes Harry Potter.
Speaking on Hogwarts Legacy 2, the studio mentioned expectations for meaningful contributions to profitability from its games division.
We expect games to meaningfully contribute to segment profitability as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy.

Of course, WB Games is also expected to launch big games like Injustice 3 in the future, so its gaming division should experience plenty of profitability in the coming years.
