Phantom Blade Zero is shaping up to be one of the strongest GOTY contenders this year, as mentioned in several previews so far. The game’s pre-orders have already surpassed the expectations of developers, pointing towards a highly successful release and reception.

The S-Game founder and director of Phantom Blade Zero now claims that the kung-fu punk experience will feature an insane number of bosses and enemy variety. Players will find at least 50 bosses spread throughout a playthrough, and possibly even more.

Why it matters: Phantom Blade Zero is expected to take 40 to 50 hours to complete at an average pace with all the side content, so having a large variety of boss fights and weapons will ensure gameplay doesn’t become repetitive over a playthrough.
