- Karolina Stachyra has returned to CD Projekt Red as a full-time writer, according to PC Gamer.
- She previously worked on The Witcher 3, writing the Bloody Baron questline among other stories.
- The writer is expected to bring the same level of quality to The Witcher 4 and other CDPR projects.
The Witcher 3 has its fair share of great writing, with fans looking back on certain side quests with a lot of fondness.
In particular, the story involving the Bloody Baron remains one of the game’s most memorable. The good news is that the writer behind this particular quest has now returned to CD Projekt Red.
Why it matters: CDPR is hard at work on The Witcher 4, so a veteran writer returning could be a huge deal for the game and ensure it retains the series’ exceptionally high bar for quality.

Karolina Stachyra, the writer behind the Bloody Baron story, is back at CDPR. The writer previously worked at Techland and GSC Game World, returning to CD Projekt Red earlier in August this year as an Expert Writer.
Stachyra has returned to the studio as a full-time writer after nearly a decade away, and because her work in the past has resonated so well with the fans, many are excited to see what comes next.
Although CDPR has yet to confirm what exactly the writing is working on at the studio, many expect to see her be involved in The Witcher 4. With CDPR aiming to push the series to new heights with the upcoming entry, Karolina Stachyra’s work could prove incredibly useful to the team.

Note that the writer was also involved with CDPR as a consultant since early 2026, before rejoining the studio.
