- A developer has shown several major PC games running natively on the iPhone 18 Pro.
- The showcased games include Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5, among others.
- These games highlight just how capable the iPhone 18 Pro can be for gaming.
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro has already proven itself to be quite capable when it comes to gaming. Running a title like Resident Evil 4 Remake with relative ease, the A20 Pro SoC is nothing short of marvelous.
Now, a developer has even managed to push Red Dead Redemption 2 beyond 30FPS on the iPhone 18 Pro.
Why it matters: Apple could partner with Rockstar Games in the future for an official mobile port if this build is any indication, especially since the original Red Dead Redemption already has a mobile version. Mobile gaming is also growing rapidly, so Apple would have much to gain from such a port.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is running at 30+ FPS on an iPhone 18 Pro.

All of this is made possible thanks to Madeira, which makes it possible to run Windows PC games on iOS.
Madeira requires at least an iPhone 13 Pro, and it’s capabilities are shown best through Red Dead Redemption 2 on the iPhone 18 Pro. The game runs at 720p, but this resolution leads to a solid frame rate.
As per the developer behind this project, games like GTA 5 and Ultrakill are also playable on iPhone. However, they require more work for the time being.
Do note that Madeira won’t be available through Apple in any official capacity. As of right now, this is more of a passion project meant to showcase how far the latest iPhones can be pushed when it comes to games.
The good news is that Apple itself also supports various AAA games, including the likes of Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, etc.
