- A newly discovered Black Flag Resynced scene shows cut content connected to major story content and expansion plans.
- The scene shows both Adewale and Edward Kenway reuniting five years after the events of the game.
- Following the game’s success and demand for more Black Flag content, Ubisoft could repurpose abandoned plans into a future expansion.
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced performed incredibly well earlier this year, practically confirming that more remakes will come soon.
Many believe Assassin’s Creed 1 will receive the next remake, but before that happens, Ubisoft could also have plans to expand on Black Flag if a cut post-credits scene from the game is anything to go by.
Why it matters: A full year of support for the game was previously teased, so this cut content could still return in some form.
The cut epilogue is set 5 years after the events of the game and shows Edward Kenway reuniting with Adewale. Note that the footage looks very rough around the edges, likely because it did not make it too far into development.
This video also shows Miko, the British Assassin Brotherhood’s leader. The two discuss how Miko’s call for a crew was answered only by Adewale, depicting a reunion between the former crewmates.
Note that this cutscene seems to take place after the events of the Freedom Cry DLC featuring Adewale but before Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Therefore, it appears Ubisoft may have initially planned on offering gamers a glimpse at Adewale and Edward Kenway’s journey before the events of future games.
Following the end of his story, Edward Kenway became a fully-fledged assassin and returned to England. As such, the team may have planned to elaborate on this part of his life through the expansion.

Given how successful the remake has been, Ubisoft could still release an expansion for the game. Fans would likely be more than happy to see more of Edward Kenway’s journey, especially since many find it to be among the last great stories from the series.
What do you think about more Black Flag Resynced content?
