Read Our G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM Kit Review

I’m starting up by recommending the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB DDR5 RAM kit, as this memory kit fits the overall tag. Simply because it tries to deliver on all fronts, be it aesthetics, performance, or the value factor. First and foremost, the memory kit comes with solid specs on paper, which are 6400 MT/s frequency coupled with CL timing of CL30-39-39-102 running at 1.40V by default. In our testing, we witnessed the RAM achieving 84,192 MB/s in the AIDA64 Engineer memory benchmark – rendering it a highly competitive kit.

The memory exhibited no problem in running either of the Intel XMP or AMD EXPO profiles. We chose the AMD EXPO during our test sessions to achieve the 6400 MT/s frequency with a low latency of 9.375 ns. Anyhow, as far as other things go, like the aesthetics, we liked the matte black combo with a brushed aluminum finish in the middle part of the heat spreader. Moreover, the RGB on the top also lit up beautifully. Now, considering all those, the memory kit is a decent overall option at $119.

PRO TIP: Always overclock your RAM in smaller increments to ensure stability. If you increase the frequency too much, you might get a BSOD or crash the PC.

The memory kit impressed us very well and this is what we said about it at the end of our review:

The G. Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB follows the classic design of this lineup to bring us another high-performance kit. With an EXPO speed of DDR5-6400 at CL30, the memory runs at an ultra-low latency of 9.375 and shows excellent performance in our benchmarks. Its price is $119, which is not much higher than you’ll find a DDR5-6000 CL30 kit for, and G. Skill offers a limited lifetime warranty for the kit. All in all, it’s a great choice for a Ryzen 9000 CPU that can run this kit at 1:1 with the memory controller.

✅Buy It If
You’re looking for a good-looking & high-performance RAM: If you’re after a memory kit that offers competitive performance and also isn’t short on the aesthetics side of things. Then the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB is a decent pick as it runs smoothly at 6400 MT/s while providing pleasing aesthetics.
❌Don't Buy It If
You prefer tighter CAS timings: If you’re looking for a RAM that has more tight timings than this, then there are a few options like Redline lumina. They offer more tight timings at the same frequency for a slight premium.

What Makes It The Best Overall RAM For Ryzen 9 9950X3D And 9900X3D?

Read Our G.Skill Trident Z Royal Neo 64 GB DDR5 RAM Kit Review

Up next, in case the 32 GB just isn’t meeting your workload requirements, then the best 64 GB kit we would recommend is the G.Skill Trident Z Royal Neo 64 GB DDR5 kit. The memory kit features a 6000 MT/s rated frequency with CL timings of CL26. Not to mention, the latency it offers is just 8.66ns – making it the memory kit with one of the lowest latency out of the box. During our review session, the Trident Z Royal Neo managed to average 87,404 MB/s writes in the AIDA64 Engineer Memory benchmark.

Do note, though, that this was done with stock AMD EXPO and not with tuned settings. In case, you want to overclock it, you can easily achieve a 200 MT/s to 400 MT/s boost via EXPO without much problem. Similarly, if we look at other aspects of the memory, we get rather premium-looking heatsinks that come in gold and silver color schemes. Moreover, the crystalline RGB bar on top is yet another way of differentiating this kit from the rest. However, the 44mm height might create issues with some dual-tower air coolers, so there’s that.

The memory kit definitely impressed me and my team and this is what we thought of the RAM:

The G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal Neo 64GB 6000MHz CL26 is G.Skill’s latest 64GB addition to its “Royal Neo” series. The kit follows the same design pattern we saw in the other kits, featuring a mirror-finished silver or gold heat spreader with a beautiful crystalline light bar on top. The kit has an ultra-low latency of only 8.66ns and beats most RAM kits by only enabling its default EXPO settings.

✅Buy It If
You require more than 32 GB for heavy workloads: If your workload requires a large chunk of memory kit and it just isn’t cutting with the 32 GB kit anymore. Then this memory kit should be your ideal choice as it has double the capacity with stellar performance.

You want a premium-looking kit: The G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal Neo isn’t just all about bigger capacity or high performance, the kit also offers premium aesthetics that look appealing and quite different.

❌Don't Buy It If
You plan to use a dual-tower air cooler: The memory kit, while great in all aspects, it however is slightly taller which might create compatibility issues with dual-tower air coolers.

What Makes It The Best 64 GB RAM For Ryzen 9 9950X3D And 9900X3D?

I like how the G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal Neo comes with premium aesthetics, and offers a very low latency of 8.66ns that too at stock pre-configured EXPO settings. Moreover, the performance figures are also very favorable, especially for content creators. All in all, the RAM sure has what it takes to be the best 64 GB RAM for Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 9950X3D.

Read Our TeamGroup T-Force-Delta 32GB DDR5 8000 MT/s RAM Kit Review

Up next is the best-performance RAM category, where I’m placing the TeamGroup T-Force Delta DDR5 RAM kit. For starters, the memory kit features the highest frequency in our recommendation list, which is 8000 MT/s. However, the CAS timings are a little high at 38-48-48-84, though they can be tuned. So, when we put this kit to the test, we first used the stock settings. Where this RAM did 87,064 MB/s writes in the AIDA64 Engineer, and with tuned CL36 timings, it did 87,239 MB/s. Not a huge improvement, but the base performance is already very compelling.

Similarly, it performed exceptionally well in the Cinebench R23.200 benchmark run as well, both stock and tuned. However, it does lag behind in latency-sensitive workloads. As for the design, here we get a very aggressive-looking heatsink with a brushed aluminum finish and an equally aggressive RGB bar on top. All in all, this RAM is a great performance package at $169.

After reviewing the memory kit, we liked, we recommend it, and this is what we said:

The TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5-8000 CL38 is a high-speed DDR5 kit that not only looks great but also performs quite well. In our tests, it handled benchmarks rather impressively, nailing Read and Write operations. It’s also reasonably priced for an 8000MHz kit, which makes it an easy choice to recommend.

✅Buy It If
You want high-performance RAM: The TeamGroup T-Force Delta proves its worth by performing exceptionally well in our benchmarks so if you’re looking for a high-performance memory kit, this surely is the right choice.

Read Our Corsair Vengeance RGB 6,000 MT/s 32GB DDR5 RAM Kit Review

In case you don’t care about top-of-the-line performance and want something that provides great value? The Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6000 32 GB memory kit is what we recommend. The memory comes with impressively tight CAS timings of 30-36-36-76, and coupled with the 6000 MT/s speed, we latency of 10ns. This is decent enough to deliver good performance for the price. As per our testing, the memory kit with the default AMD EXPO profile was able to provide 81,393 MB/s write speed when we ran the AIDA64 Engineer software.

Similarly, in Cinebench R23, the memory kit again performed quite competitively and helped the CPU to get 18,474 points. While the stock performance is all great, however, its overclocking capabilities aren’t as good. The kit already runs at 1.40V and didn’t allow us to increase the frequency too much without increasing the power. Ultimately, the hassle wasn’t worth it at all. Besides this, the kit features a gray color heatsink with triangle patterns all over it and an ARGB bar on top. The overall aesthetics are good, and like that, the value factor is also strong because of the budget-friendly price of around $100.

We liked the value factor of the Vengeance RGB kit, as it performed competitively and this is what we said after reviewing it:

The Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 is a pure price-to-performance RAM that performs at a high level and also comes with an aesthetic vibe. It’s a well-rounded product that Corsair has designed to cater to its valued customers. If you’re looking for a balanced RAM that gives you performance and looks good while doing it, this kit is designed for gamers like you.

✅Buy It If
You want the best value: For the price of just around $100, the Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 makes complete sense as it comes with tight CAS timings as well as decent frequency that delivers remarkable performance.

❌Don't Buy It If
You can’t compromise on OC potential: If you’re one of those who loves to tune their memory and get the most out of it. Then this kit isn’t for you as the memory kit doesn’t offer a good enough overclocking potential to be considered a good overclocking RAM.

Read Our Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 6000 MT/s DDR5 RAM Kit Review

Lastly, for the premium memory category segment, I can only recommend the Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB DDR5. The kit is packed with premium goodness like high-grade build quality and exceptional performance out of the box. Starting with the specs, we get the ideal 6000 MT/s frequency paired with the CL30 timings resulting in 10ns latency. But what is interesting here are the results that we recorded in our review. The memory kit was able to do 81,437 MB/s writes in the AIDA 64 Engineer memory benchmark. Do remember, that this test is performed at the rated settings via the available AMD EXPO profile.

Not to mention, the memory kit also showed the lowest latency against competition which also includes the Corsair Vengeance RGB. Now, enough of the performance, let me tell you that the top section of the memory heatsink is customizable so you can change however you want. Other than that, the kit comes with a very minimalistic design that adds to its premium feel. Also, the only downside I could find on this memory is its very tall height of 56m.

This is what we decided to comment on after thoroughly reviewing the memory kit:

The Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB DDR5-6000 32GB CL30 is a high-end Premium RAM, that not only performs well but comes with that aesthetic appeal as well. Corsair has created a well-rounded product to cater to its customers. If you’re looking for RAM that will let you push your CPU to its limits as it’s supposed to, then this RAM is for you!

✅Buy It If
You want excellent out-of-the-box performance: If you’re in search of a memory kit that delivers excellent performance right out of the box so you have to tinker with the settings manually. Then the Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB is a great choice because of its impressive performance capabilities.

You’re a Corsair fan: If you’re someone who admires Corsair products a lot, then this kit is an easy pick as it is one of Corsair’s premium offerings. Which comes with premium build quality, iCUE software support, a limited lifetime warranty, and of course the sleek-looking RBG.

❌Don't Buy It If
You want to use an air cooler: If you’re thinking of pairing the memory kit with an air cooler, then it’s a bad idea. Because the Dominator Titanium comes at a 56mm height that can create compatibility issues with air coolers. So either skip the RAM or stick to an AIO.

What Makes It The Best Premium RAM For Ryzen 9 9950X3D And 9900X3D?

The memory kit sure comes at a premium price but it does pay back in terms of the sheer quality of the memory kit itself. And also the kind of incredible performance it is capable of delivering at stock settings. This combination of luxury and the performance this RAM has makes it the best premium RAM for Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D

Important RAM Terms To Look Out For

  • EXPO: This is AMD’s answer to Intel’s XMP OC profile settings. You can overclock your memory with the available pre-configured memory profiles to get optimal performance via higher speed and lower latency without manually doing anything.
  • DIMM Slots: The vertical slots parallel to the CPU socket are the DIMM slots that accommodate the memory modules. Mostly the budget boards come with only two of the DIMM slots while slightly expensive ones get to have four of them. Moreover, DIMM slots on different motherboards support memory modules of different speeds.
  • FrequencyThe frequency means the speed and a memory kit’s frequency means how fast it shares the data with the processor. The higher the frequency of the memory kit, the faster the processor receives the data, though, the CAS latency needs to be equally tighter.
  • CAS LatencyIn layman’s terms, CAS latency means the time taken by the memory kit to deliver the required data to the processor. Also, CAS latency stands for Column Address Strobe latency, and it also goes by CL timings. Moreover, the latency of a kit can also be calculated in nanoseconds via our RAM latency calculator.
  • HeatsinkThe aluminum plates you see on the memory kits today are called heatsinks and are there to keep the memory kits cool. These come in handy when you’re planning to overclock the memory kit. Additionally, they also provide aesthetics as they come in various designs and with RGB LED integration.
  • Voltage: It means how much power the memory kit consumes and is often mentioned over the heat spreader. The less the memory kit consumes power, the more efficient it is, though lowering too much power means low performance as well.

How We Tested The Best RAM For Ryzen 9 9000X3D CPUs

We take strict measures before adding any of the memory kits to the list of our articles. For example, we look at its performance, design, OC potential, and value for money factor to take out the best for our list from the bunch. Here are the factors explained in detail:

  • Performance: Firstly, we check the performance of the memory kit by putting it to test. We pair it with the respective CPU and set the default speed settings. After that, we run tests using AIDA64 Engineer, Cinebench R23/2024, as well as some gaming titles to check their stability and overall performance.
  • Overclocking Potential: The next thing we check about the memory kit is its overclocking capabilities, a good memory should show decent overclocking potential as they are primarily made to be high-performance gaming kits. Now, you can choose from the default Intel XMP or AMD EXPO’s pre-configured settings, or if you know your way around the manual overclocking, you can also overclock it manually. And we check the kits both ways to be certain.
  • Value For Money: Regardless of the budget for your memory kit, it’s essential to choose a component that provides the best value for your money. There are many options available that perform poorly and cost a fortune which only makes your wallet empty without offering valuable returns. So we choose only those kits that fit this criteria.
  • Design: Sure this is more of a personal choice category as everyone seems to like different stuff. So, to make things easier, we tend to focus on including memory kits that have different designs and do not look the same. This ensures that we help the majority and not only a handful of people.
