According to Insider Gaming, Désilets confirmed that AI-generated assets connected to 1666: Amsterdam will be replaced following backlash over their use. As per the developer, AI was mostly used early on in the game’s development.

As mentioned earlier, a lot of fans are still not sold on generative AI yet, and it doesn’t help that impressive games like GTA 6 were made completely without AI.
