Xbox has recently pulled away from its multiplatform focus, transitioning games like Gears of War: E-Day back to exclusivity. However, the gaming giant had already announced a title like Forza Horizon 6 for PS5 ahead of this transition.
Due to the lack of updates on this specific PS5 release, many were wondering whether Xbox had delayed the title or was reconsidering its decision. Fortunately, Playground Games has come forward with a confirmation that the PS5 port is on the way.
Why it matters: The Forza Horizon series is among the best racing games available today, and Forza Horizon 6 was highly praised at launch by practically everyone.
As mentioned earlier, recent rumors pointed to a delay for Forza Horizon 6 on PS5. However, Playground Games has confirmed that the PlayStation version is still on track for later this year.
The interesting part is that this small update arrives ahead of Tokyo Game Show, which runs between 17th September and 21st September. This would be the perfect event for Playground Games to announce the release date.
