- Multiple insiders claim Nintendo is working on a new Super Smash Bros game.
- It is also said that other games like a new 3D Mario and Luigi’s Mansion 4 are in the works.
- Nintendo could offer a first glimpse at one of these projects later this week.
Nintendo is currently working on various first-party projects for the Switch 2, and the gaming giant seems to have its sights set on competing with GTA 6 using The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake.
However, new reports suggest that many major Nintendo titles are also coming later, including a brand new Super Smash Bros entry.
Why it matters: The last major release for the series, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, came out nearly a full decade ago, so another title is long overdue at this point.

Nintendo is reportedly preparing several major projects behind the scenes, with a new Super Smash Bros title said to be among them.
This report comes from insider Malo932, who has recently gotten a lot right regarding Nintendo leaks, including the company’s plans to host two consecutive Nintendo Directs.
A compilation of the user’s leaks reveals that Nintendo currently has new projects like Mario Kart World DLC and a 3D Mario title in the works. Some of these are fairly safe guesses, but the leaker says a new Smash Bros title is currently in the works.
Making matters more interesting, the user appears to have deleted many of his comments on the subject after attracting more attention. This could be yet another sign that many of the projects he has alluded to are in the works.
Nintendo insider NecroFelipe also appears to have backed Malo932’s claims recently, so it will be interesting to see what Nintendo has in store for Super Smash Bros fans. This leaker even says Nintendo could show Luigi’s Mansion 4 in one of its upcoming Directs.
