- Capcom says it plans to expand its key IPs further to reach an even wider audience.
- They say that they have been the key to their success and will be for the future too.
- We can also expect a revival of older classic franchises like Dino Crisis and more.
In recent years, no studio has been as consistent in delivering excellent quality titles as Capcom has been. The Japanese gaming giants just marked their 9th consecutive year of profitability, and plan to continue doing that in the future.
Capcom states that it will continue to develop more games in its established IPs, as they have and will be the key to its success. It has been outlined that its three flagship franchises include Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter.
Why it matters: The results speak for themselves as we’ve seen releases from both Resident Evil and Monster Hunter this year, and both were big hits. Additionally, the new IPs have also resonated well with the fans.

In its recent Financial Results briefing, Capcom outlined its future moves led by new games in its existing IPs with continued releases on “new platforms”. This means we can expect even more titles on Switch 2 moving forward.
Moreover, the studio has also shown interest in expanding its classic IPs with sequels, remakes, and remasters. So, we could see the revival of some older fan-favorites like Dino Crisis, Mega Man, and more.

The main aim is to increase awareness of its IPs, so they can continue to expand as they have. So, we can expect a stacked lineup from the studio in the next few years, as it continues to grow even further.
Of course, 2026 has been an exceptional year too, as all 3 of their releases have absolutely dominated, with Onimusha also shaping to be a hit, capping off a perfect year. But, still, we can expect plenty more stuff from the studio.
