- Ubisoft is reportedly working on a new Ghost Recon after the Black Flag Remake.
- The title is rumored to be inspired by the squad features in Ready or Not.
- It will be set in Asia, and UI will be restricted, and the focus will be on realism.
There have been solid rumors that the next project Ubisoft is focusing on after Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a new Ghost Recon title. The tactical shooter franchise hasn’t seen a new entry in 6 years, but that could change soon.
Some new details about the next Ghost Recon game have emerged online, revealing that it will be inspired by VOID Interactive’s tactical shooter, Ready or Not, and will be set in Asia, which has been explored in older entries as well.
Why it matters: Ghost Recon games hold a significant influence in their genre, being one of Ubisoft’s oldest series. It also has a massive audience and fan base, which will be thrilled about a new title in development.

Renowned Ubisoft leaker, RogueTX, has leaked a few key details about the next Ghost Recon game. He says the game will be inspired by Ready or Not’s squad features and will feature the return of an Asian setting.
This suggests that the title is moving away from its arcade-like third-person shooter gameplay to more of a punishing first-person military simulation, making it much more competitive than it ever was before.

Additionally, the leaker also states that the UI is more restricted than in older games. This time, the game will push more boundaries, focusing on realism and stealth, rather than exploration and shooting.
As stated before, it will have an Asian setting, which, according to rumors, is going to be Vietnam. But none of this is officially confirmed at this point, so take it with a grain of salt.
